Sisters who find themselves in deep conversations about the way our brains are wired, our families, motherhood and all things relationships, anxiety, self awareness, planning and replanning, we want to talk about it ALL. *Intro music is royalty free music from bensound.com
It's impacting everyone worldwide and we're here to talk about it. We're a tiny fraction of the voices out there to discuss this but it's what we do and we felt compelled to share how it's impacting us and what we hope comes from it longterm. I hope to be able to listen back to this episode in 6 months and feel like COVID-19 brought American's together, restored the family dynamic inside our homes and really made us appreciate the lives we are so used to with packed grocery shelves and the freedom to pack as calendars as tight as possible... but for now, we slow down!
When anxiety creeps in when you've otherwise been doing well, it can derail all the progress you've made! We talk about that on this episode! This was records over a month ago when Coronavirus was a completely unknown topic and today keeping our heads up, sticking to what we know and pushing through with the most self awareness we can feels more important than ever.
We sit down and talk to two of my FAVORITE humans, Hailey and Sophia and they give us insight on cliques in school, bullying and how kindness is the answer to it all. I adore these girls for who they are every single day but this day we were especially proud of them for getting out of their comfort zone. They were scared to sit down with us but we already can't wait to have them back. They were 10 when we recorded this but they have since had a birthday and are ELEVEN and wise beyond their years. Please give a listen to Hailey and Sophia and consider their words when thinking of those school agers in your own life.
In all fashions of this life, we got busy!! We recorded this episode in January when we were hitting the ground running into 2020! We're sticking to goals and promises we made to ourselves and working hard to find a balance of family, work and self! Lets talk about all of that!
We sit down to talk with Anna, a loving wife, mother and military mistress (we kid, and explain it in the episode). She discusses openly both the ups and downs of being a military spouse and sheds light on the sacrifice an entire family makes for the military force we all get to benefit from. She is raw, transparent and brings us all to tears from both laughter and shared heartache for once another. She talks her love of hair, her journey with Monat and the community of mom bosses she prides herself in being surrounded by. We hope you love this episode and gain a new sense of pride in the people who stand behind those in uniform everyday. Here's Anna.
We talk our holiday traditions, updates on our last 90 days challenge and oddly, the human trafficking epidemic. It's what happens when we just chit chat. Listen in to our most random episode, yet. We'll be back next week with more mental health and mom life conversations!
We sit down and chat with our friend Sara to talk all things from sassy four year olds to excel document excitement! We dive into having a creative mind and a creative job vs. craving structure and the different personalities we all have in that aspect. We also chat dating after divorce and that big ole elephant in the room that can be coparenting! We just love her and the laughter she brings to our lives and we know you will too!
Has overthinking ever cost you a great social event? It almost cost us our brother's wedding!! Hear us discuss the weekend away and all the things we expected to go wrong that didn't. Turns out, our attitude and overthinking was the only problem at all. We also bring in Amanda, one of our best friends who moved to Cincinnati from Boston to take a chance on love! She's a ray of sunshine and loves to radiate positivity but also understands the struggle of anxiety and OCD.
Anxiety disorders can be difficult to manage. We all 3 have diagnosed anxiety disorders and have been treated and manage them differently. This is our journey to diagnoses and the foundation of why we think the way we do during our discussions throughout the podcast. When it comes to discussing our own journeys it was putting a lifetimes' worth of understanding ourselves into our own section, so bare with us as we tried to get the short version out there. We are in constant search of more understanding of ourselves, our self awareness and how to be better versions of ourselves while managing our anxiety instead of allowing our anxiety to manage us. We hope you find something you can relate to here with us!
Can you believe we're in the middle of the LAST 90 DAYS OF THIS DECADE? Well, we are! We caught ourselves reading about the Last 90 Days challenge with Rachel and Dave Hollis (who we adore as social media influences and motivational speakers) and we really wanted to share out experiences with it so far! Enjoy and check them out at @msrachelhollis and @mrdavehollis on all social media platforms. Intro music is royalty free music from bensound.com
In this episode we meet Erica, our 17 year old niece who has been battling mental health since she became a teenager. Theres SO much more to unpack here than we could possibly do in one episode, which is why after recording this we thought she would be a great, younger, voice to add to our revolving co hosts. She makes us proud every single day as she battles her inner demons and somehow remains one of the silliest, outgoing teenagers we've ever known. You rock, kid! I can't wait to share your story with the world!
We're co-hosts to this little podcast baby, Clear As Mud! We are Jessica and Becca and we're sisters (in law) who found ourselves in the same family and it was just the start of our similarities. We realized we were wired alike and in a world where that seems impossible, we often catch ourselves diving into conversations about all things anxiety, motherhood, family, relationships, school, work, life and all those overwhelming concepts that are as clear as mud and do not come with an instruction manual. Listen along while we navigate it all together with a plus one each episode. This week, and a few others, is our niece, Erica, who you will meet in depth in the next episode but I know you'll love already! Subscribe for more and share share share so this baby podcast can grow and we can find more people who are wired like us, and possibly feel like no one else is! *intro music is royalty free music from bensound.com
