On the tail of the re-opening of Los Angeles after the global pandemic and on the eve of the protests over the unjust death of George Floyd, Robyn and Alison interview Los Angeles-based architect Kulapat Yantrasast at his Venice, California home.  Yantrasast has worked on shaping Los Angeles with projects such as the ICA LA, Marciano Art Foundation and Frieze LA, and is currently working on a renovation of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s AAOA galleries in New York, amongst dozens of other projects globally. He talks openly about the eight years he spent under Japanese starchitect Todao Ando, and about coming to California to make a name of his own. His thought-provoking philosophies about everything from food as it relates to architecture to his eclectic fashion sense will capture your attention and make you think.      

  Entrepreneur, innovator but mostly DISRUPTOR of the typical design showroom model—and founder of The Future Perfect—David Alhadeff gets real with co-hosts, Robyn Casady and Alison Palevsky.  David walks us through a journey of his love of design (which “began at birth”), to the start of his first retail shop in Brooklyn, then to the current success of his roving gallery, Casa Perfect.  Recording from the current iteration of Casa by architect Raul F. Garduno in Trousdale estates in the hills of Beverly,  David dishes on the struggles of running a business from a residence, while discovering and fostering the careers of seminal design talents including Bari Ziperstein, Chris Wilson and Lindsey Adelman along the way—with truth serum that will have you future tripping.

Recorded in April of 2020 during the “stay at home” orders due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, this episode contains some technical imperfections but also gives a glimpse into the realities of lockdown. Robyn and Alison join two female forces in the Miami art scene virtually via Zoom Conference.  Curator, gallerist and talent incubator Nina Johnson of the eponymous Nina Johnson Gallery provides key insights into the past, present and future of the art world.  Alexa Wolman, PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami) trustee, art collector, former-attorney and entrepreneur shares her experiences as a transplant from Manhattan as well as her perspective on collecting some of Miami's most promising upcoming artists.  Alexa and Nina formed a connection based on a mutual passion for art and a close friendship followed. The pair continues to explore the boundaries and dynamics of the gallerist and the patron while maintaining a genuine friendship.

Creativity Deconstructed’s Robyn Casady and Alison Palevsky sit down with established designer, Thomas Hayes, known for both his eponymous furniture line and his careful eye for mid-century pieces. Thomas reflects on the days when he dealt vintage furniture from a humble garage in North Hollywood leading up to today's 6,500 square foot studio in Hollywood and an outlet in Tribeca. Matter of factly stating that he makes "sexy" furniture, Thomas charms with his unconventional personality and path to monetary success attributing much of it to relationships and willingness to take a chance on or give back to others.

Robyn Casady and Alison Palevsky chat with What’s Up Moms founder Brooke Mahan to discuss what it was like to be an early YOUTUBE sensation.  Brooke reveals the details of her career path and recent pivot with her latest venture which grew out of her deep passion for games.  DO YOU KNOW ME?, a card game, brings a level of intimacy to new and old friends demonstrated on the podcast by putting Alison in the hot seat for a round.  Brooke’s positivity, “I can do it all” attitude and business smarts make it easy to see how she would be successful at anything she took on.
