 Why is the black man inherently nervous around the police? In this episode, I share my thoughts about the recent GUILTY verdict of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. Finding Chauvin guilty is not a cause for celebration BECAUSE we have 'Derek Chauvins' everywhere, including the UK.... and George Floyd happens every day. 

How is it possible to still find people who do not believe Covid exists? How is it that people still call you 'stupid' or 'sheep'  for wearing masks? In this episode, I had a chat with Mr Vibez, a multi-talented singer-songwriter to discuss his latest track - What Do You Mean. This mid-tempo track is super cool and has an undeniable Burna Boy influence.  Our discussion focused on the rise of Afrobeats in Nigeria and the latest success of Burna Boy and Wizkid at the recent Grammy Awards this year. This first episode of season 2 is about Donald Trump and the ruckus that surrounded the just-concluded US elections. Donald told the world he would build a wall at the southern border, but instead, he built a wall in our homes, in the US Senate, in our friendships and relationships.

At the time of recording this Podcast, SARS as a unit had not been disbanded.So, I caught up with a friend who also has a stake in Nigeria and our conversation touched on Police brutality and the fact that, for so long, Kolade Johnson was the only victim of police brutality most could remember. Meanwhile George Floyd was on the lips of most Nigerians. It's not fair, and I was looking to address that, when as expected, the conversation pivoted wildly and touch on various in-your-face issues facing the country. It was a necessary conversation. My guest on this episode was Mumpreneur Mofolusade Sonaike, a knowledgeable and successful business owner. We had an interesting chat about the effect of Covid-19 on our lives and our businesses. I had an interesting time sharing banter with Mrs Sonaike, listening to her share her experience about combining parenthood with entrepreneurship. It's worth a listen.

Following the passing of a dear friend recently, I got thinking about life. The way we live, how we act with other people and the legacy we live behind when we are gone kept playing on my mind. This episode, short as it may be, opens up some difficult questions about life, and death. Death is a debt we all have to pay, and even though I still find it difficult to wrap my head around mortality, I find that it is an opportunity for us all to act right. Listen and live right.

Nigerians are mostly associated with fraud (or fraudulent activities). That is unfair! In this episode I talked about the reasons behind such perception, the reputation Nigerians have created for themselves globally and the consequences for the millions of innocent Nigerians like me.
