FLEAS IS BACK!!! Abbey and Anna warmly welcome you back to their babbling nonsense and share a new idea for Fleas. They're shifting from sharing their own writing each week to sharing YOUR writing each week! That's right! Less work for them! In this episode you can hear Anna talk about being afraid of a tunnel, and Abbey shares that she's in love with three (3) whole people (a number growing by the second). These two fleas are finally back with another episode on streaming platforms! Abbey and Anna chit-chat and catch us up on their lives, all to the soundtrack of Anna audibly eating Italian ice. Abbey MAY have had a silly little near-fainting spell at the beginning of the episode, but for some reason, we just kept recording. It's called dedication to the craft, look it up. We'll write a really funny sketch soon, but we know you like just hanging out with us more anyway because we're so interesting and also our voices are so sexy and there's no one like us. Anyways, can someone please count how many times Abbey says the adjective "famously"? WHO IS THE MAIN CHARACTER??? Abbey and Anna talk about how they love themselves *most* when they feel pretty. How healthy!! Listen to them pitch an idea...kind of? They know for sure that Lin-Manuel Miranda has to be in it. Little else. The pair talk about music, training dogs, and skincare. When can old friends come back into your life? How do we know that their behavior isn't just cyclical and indicative of their character? We don't! Ha ha! Just be careful, I  guess!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to match with a misogynistic ghost on Bumble? Well, we have, so here's a sketch about it. Abbey and Anna had a GREAT past weekend! No reason to commit murder now. Seriously, NO REASON, FBI. The distant, ominous, and near-constant planes in the background of this episode set up the tone for the spooky sketch with Hunter Madden (@huntermadden97), Emma Olson (@emols6), and Scout Smith (@scoutsmith__). Happy Earth Day, Fleas. This episode is quite candid and may or may not start off with some sniffles, but the girls do get it together! That’s what’s important! Abbey and Anna pitch a surprisingly funny sketch considering neither of them discussed anything beforehand. Additionally, they talk about sweating and keeping friends and wanting love but also wanting to be hot and single. All the world’s deepest problems.

Abbey and Anna thoughtfully babble about wanting to adopt the concept of body neutrality but also wanting to feel hot, which is the sheer crisis of mankind. Speaking of HOT, the sketch  this week takes place in a Judy Blume children's book pitch meeting. Blake Carlson (@blakefromafar), Drewe Goldstein (@drewegoldstein), and senior citizen Joe Mayes (@joe_mayes_22) join us to read said sketch. Then the girls chat about being a responsible owner of a cat, consider air-frying fruit (?), and remind you that no one cares about you enough to care if you're a loser.

This episode is a bit different. Um...April Fools??? Abbey was shooting a rad web series...Anna released a rad song...all of this to say...we were busy these past two weeks! In an intimate episode with just the two of us (cue the Bill Withers song), the girls shed light on their writing process by starting the process ON AIR. Procrastination makes for interesting, new content! Next episode's sketch will follow a group of writers pitching Judy Bloom book ideas, so get a sneak peek at what some of those wacky ideas will be! Then, hear us chat about how to not spend money (we're not sure) and how to maintain boundaries when breaking up with someone while living together, which is our literal nightmare.

Technology failed us this week, but we came back a-SWINGIN' with ~lukewarm~ energy! The girls' hopes for an easy podcast episode are crushed. Speaking of crushed, Abbey ruined a child's day this week! And, Anna broke into her therapist's home! Good times. Rachel Dixon comes on to chat about her own writing podcast, Honey Colored Glasses (@honeycoloredglasses), and we all read some poetry together. Very zen. Is it worth the drama to unfollow people who've wronged you? What do you do when a childhood friend starts dating your ex? We don't even know. Figure it out.

She’s a long one, but she’s full of all the good stuff. Kind of like an eclair. Anna uses the podcast as a therapy session, and Abbey shares how she was straight-up bullied by some car guys. Guests Marisa Rigot (@bigsm00chie) and Donna Boyd (@bonnaleebond) hop on to read and scream a sketch about competitive pregnant women. One of them has a southern accent. We're not sure why we asked for that, but we're glad we did. We discuss respecting our time, respecting our exes, and DISrespecting Marisa Rigot.

Anna and Abbey talk for like so long and it's not even funny. Y'all didn't really ask any funny advice so we actually had to be kinda serious the whole time. Not cool. Chelsea Matkins (@the_chel_sea) came on, though! That was fun! Stick around for an old Gag Reflex sketch that honestly might be plagiarized. Whoops! Gender is a performance and we're not evil (probably).

We survived another two weeks. Somehow. Abbey and Anna made a music video that brightened up a not-so-great week. Then, the girls share a silly sketch about a Battle of the Bands involving grown men and three-year-olds, with characters read by Ijsah Byrd (@ijsahbyrd1), Hassan Fields/Lunch $pecial (@itslunchspecial), TJ Vinsavich (@tj.vinsavich), and Austin Carlson (@austincarlsonyo). We learn Hassan will go hard for some shrimp. Is it okay to ignore logic to indulge in romance? Should you invest in stocks? Will Abbey stop trying to do impressions? One can dream.
