We discuss the culture of gambling and drinking in La Crosse with UW-L political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky, and WIZM’s Brad Williams, and then feature another woman-owned business "for no reason whatsoever" The conversation went a bunch of different ways, including when residents voted by referendum whether to allow a casino to come to La Crosse. Another reason for the talk stems from two La Crosse businesses not being allowed to have their liquor licenses renewed by the city council, and whether Wisconsin’s sports gambling legalization gets fully implemented before Gov. Tony Evers retires. After that, Chergosky talked about the politics of the Wisconsin governor’s race, now that there are seven Democrats and two Republicans on the ballot — and the dilemma of the less popular candidates either needing to make a name for themselves or drop out or go.
