Ghost Train Music

Back to electro for episode #8. There has been a ton of excellent releases recently that I was dying to put on a mix, this is essentially my summer mix. Just a selection of tracks that I have been playing out and listening to over the last couple of months, but unfortunately I cant fit all of the tracks I wanted in, there are so many other tracks, I could in fact make a second mix. Although I am happy with the fact that I managed to fit 13 songs in 29mins.I made this mix using Ableton live, I complete understand the mixing process within it now, at the beginning it was difficult to transfer the knowledge and understanding of mixing using CDJ's then bring it into a static program, its more of a production process than live mixing. There are a few errors in it, but to be honest, when I listened back, they weren't so bad as to correct them, I sounded as if they were human error and gave it a more natural feel, so as strange as it sounds, I decided to leave errors in it...Direct DownloadListen on MixcloudPodcast on iTunesTracklist:1. I know, I know... Its been ages since I last made a mix, in what was supposed to be a fortnightly installment of mixes on the blog has sort of turned into, well, 6 weeks now maybe?But in my defense, the releases over the last month were horrendous, thats all I will say. Only in the last week has there been some solid releases worthy of there place in a mix. This one is packed to the gills with heavy tracks, including some of the freshest releases over the last month, but most of which are the last week or so. Over the course of 2 weeks, since my last mix anyway, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find top quality music, worthy of an episode, but I manage, there are a few new releases in the coming weeks to keep me the episodes fresh.This week, see's a lot more Electro than the first episode, mainly as I said, due to lack of quality releases. In the next episode I'm going to try incorporate more Progressive into the set. Plenty of great releases in the last month, this months episode is a mix of my personal favourites over the last month, of course there are a few more, but couldnt fit them all in. I also decided to revert back to the old designs, although I would like to design a few more different ones, it was just easier this month with being busy and everything. And It must be the first time since I started, that I dont have an Avicii track in a mix, I must be changing my ways. This is the surprise I have been dying to unveil for Ghost Train Music. Along with myself mixing on a 2 week basis, I have arranged for a number of DJ's I know to get involved and make a guest mix for the podcast.The first guest mix is from a good friend of mine, Clubber Lang, a Dublin based DJ who plays weekly on Pre-Drinks Radio, with an indie-disco, funky house, style of set. Disco, Funky, Techy, this set has a fantastic mix of all, the track that sticks out most for me is the DJ Mehdi remix, pure classic.
