I have been excited about this show for quite some time! I first heard Lindsey Ray's powerful voice on Bleu's latest record; on a song called "Chasing" - to say it left me breathless would be an understatement. I am fairly certain that she can move mountains with one note. The soul in her voice is undeniable and the strength and sincerity of her tone is a religious experience. I cannot wait to dig into her story, she is a force to watch in the industry - keep your eyes open folks :-) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Welcome to Episode 56 of Intuitive Queens podcast from your Intuition Queen. My name is Mara and I have created this podcast to inspire you with the stories of my guests and how they overcame fears, limiting beliefs, tragedies and obstacles and managed to find their purpose following their intuition. My hope is that you will resonate with one or all of them and their story will get you to take-action to change your life, and finally go after your dreams. In today’s episode I am interviewing Lindsey Ray, aka Rayelle, aka Olly Anna, American singer, songwriter and Producer. Lindsey always knew she wanted to be a singer and was lucky to have a family and community to support her in making her dream come true. When she was in her 20ies she was discovered on My Space and invited to New York to sign a deal with a major record company but just as she approached New York she fell into tears because something inside of her told her that thatwas not what she wanted, the type of person she would had to be was not aligned to who she was and she turned back. She was told she had blew her only shot to become successful. Lindsey started over and went on singing at weddings but when her dad passed away, she packed her stuff and moved to LA and that’s where her life changed and her career as a singer, songwriter and producer started. Following her intuition is something that Lindsey talks about often during the interview and again it comes back strongly when she talks about how she is a singer. Her singing career starts as herself, Lindsey Ray but as she says, she was getting bored and created other two personas, Rayelle and Olly Anna. With them she has different styles but they all represent authentic parts of herself where she can feel different, from badass to playful to more soulful. Her music is empowering, badass, positive, soulful and dreamy. This is something that singers are never able to do and they combine different styles in one persona but again, for Lindsay that was just something she felt called to do and that felt right, so she went for it. We talked about following her intuition, her creative process, the challenges of trusting yourself when you are starting out and you are surrounded by expert that tells you what to do but that doesn’t feel right. We talked about breaking through the limitations that other people put on ourselves and the importance to take chances to make our dreams come true. We also talked about spirituality and how Lindsay feels that her music is a message she channels to inspire and empower women. Lindsey, Rayelle and Olly Anna’s songs have all become successful, in fact you can find them as soundtracks in a long list of TV programmes, movies and commercials available on her website. You might have already listened to her music! Not bad for someone that only had one shot! 1. Out of the blue2. A neat nut3. A pack cat4. Oedipus complex歌单:1. Try——Colbie Caillat 2. Breathless——Shayne Ward 3. Kiss me——Zion. T 4. What if she is an angel——Tommy Shane Steiner 5. I know, I know... Its been ages since I last made a mix, in what was supposed to be a fortnightly installment of mixes on the blog has sort of turned into, well, 6 weeks now maybe? But in my defense, the releases over the last month were horrendous, thats all I will say. Only in the last week has there been some solid releases worthy of there place in a mix. This one is packed to the gills with heavy tracks, including some of the freshest releases over the last month, but most of which are the last week or so. I decided to just go straight Electro this episode, no Dubstep, Moombahton, or Tech House.Subscribe to the PodcastDownload DirectlyListen to the Mix on MixcloudPlease have a listen, and hit me up on Twitter and let me know what you think in the comments.Tracklist:1. Hailing from the small coastal town of Belfast, Maine, Lindsey Ray (born Lindsey Bachelder) comes from a long line of musicality from both her mother and father’s sides of the family. Her father, David Bachelder, was a local musician favorite known for his Sinatra-like vocals and undeniable talent. Virtually every member of Lindsey’s father’s family are gifted singers who play piano by ear. It was no surprise when Lindsey followed in their footsteps.Lindsey began her journey into the music business, while in high school, in 1999. She started working with a production company in NYC and often spent weekends on long bus trips, to and from NYC, to record songs in the studio. Her love of music drove her, and she opted out of college to pursue her career. She moved to East Orange, New Jersey to work with producers to record a demo in hopes of landing a record deal. While recording demos, Lindsey was inspired by newcomer singer/songwriters at that time, such as Alicia Keys and India Arie, who were playing their instruments and writing their own songs. She began to realize her desire to write her own songs and longed to find her own voice. She soon moved back home to Maine to do so.While continuing to collaborate with various songwriters, Lindsey was introduced to Tim Myers, formerly of OneRepublic. Lindsey and Tim had instant musical chemistry and wrote three songs together. One of the songs, a duet titled “Brand New Day” was picked up as the theme for Target national ad campaign and commercials, which aired from Fall 2008 through Summer 2009. Since then, Lindsey’s songs have been featured on NBC TV shows “Chuck” and “Mercy”, ABC TV shows “Ghost Whisperer” and “Castle”, Style Network, E! Channel, Lifetime’s original movie “Sorority Wars”, MTV, among others. For more information please contact:Gabi Kochlani~Sounds For People (323) 377-6721Email: gabi@soundsforpeople.com http://www.lindseyray.comhttp://www.facebook.com/LindseyRayMusic
