do you struggle with high employee turnover? Are you watching your money walk out the revolving door as you see employee after employee walking in and then right back out? As someone who consults businesses in helping them Manag this issue, I am doing multiple podcasts on WHAT to do with high employee turnover. Employee turnover is expensive. My name is Roger Throckmorton from Vast Outcomes. Daring you to succeed. My last podcast was talking about rude behavior in the workplace.  Today I'm going to be talking about work-life imbalance. With increased economic pressures, organizations continue to demand that one person do the work of two or more people. A couple of examples of these stressers are downsizing and restructuring. These can result in longer hours and weekend work. When an employee is forced to choose between personal life and a work life, this is where the rub begins. do you struggle with high employee turnover? Are you watching your money being flushed down the drain as you see employee after employee walking through the revolving door? As someone who consults business in helping them cope with this issue, I will be doing multiple podcasts on WHAT to do with high employee turnover. Employee turnover is expensive. My name is Roger Throckmorton from Vast Outcomes. Daring you to succeed. Let's get to the first issue I want to discuss today. Rude behavior.  Ahhhh...nobody wants to talk about this!!   However, Studies have shown that everyday insults (we know what insults are...example would be ...your employee is in a middle of a meeting. She/he being talking and expressing their ideas and someone interjects. This isn't a one time occurrence. It happens over and over again.) Ok – so now that we know an example of rude behavior – this can have an adverse affect on productivity and ultimately - result in good employees quitting.

Global e-commerce sales exceeded $2 trillion in 2017, and are on pace to more than double by 2021  Yet average online conversion rates have remained doggedly low  Fewer than 4% of consumers arriving from desktop browsers buy, and the number is lower still for tablet and smartphone users (3% and 1%, respectively). These are a far cry from offline retail conversion rates estimated to be 20%–40%. Why do so few online shoppers convert to purchasers? Consumer behavior research suggests that trust is essential to forming an intention to purchase. When trust is high, people are much more likely to take risks and engage in trade. In the e-commerce setting, a prospective customer usually relies entirely on the digital experience. Researchers have tried to provide an exact answer to this question, one rooted in deliberative cognitive processes. They use decision models to describe sets of logical factors related to the formation of purchase intentions, such as an individual

Roger Throckmorton with Vast Outcomes more accelerating Business trends The end of quality is it a business trend or the rise of the experience economy? Customers are far more willing to spend money on concerts, dinner dates, and trips. That’s good for the businesses that understand and embrace the experience economy mentality. Organizations are still trying to do business the old way and it isn’t working . Customers want to experience an emotional connection. They’re looking for organizations with shared values. We pay attention to the things we find threatening and, to a lesser extent, rewarding. Today customers place a premium on experiences. What they’re really looking for though, is meaning. People want companies to provide a consistently wonderful experience from beginning to end. The good news is, if the experience and values are there, customers are willing to spend more. Does this mean quality doesn’t matter? Nope It means it’s the end

This is Roger Throckmorton with another inciteful Vast Outcomes episode that helps you navigate the world of business in this day and age. What Is The Experience Economy, And why Should you or Your Business Care? Today's consumers are connected like never before We're constantly searching, communicating, liking and checking in. Every action we take, whether we're on our smart phone, tablet or at our desktop, has the same result in mind... Satisfy ME. Give me a way to share and explore. Give me the answer to my search question. Give me a platform to reach out to those around me. By the way did I mention that you need to do all those things immediately, if you don't mind. As consumers, our interactions with brands are no different. We no longer just make a purchase and simply walk away. Consumers seek and expect a deeper relationship from the brands we frequent. We want to feel like they're not only hearing us but really listening. We don't just want the goods or services we want a

Through some insightful feedback from listeners and business partners it was made thankfully aware to me that I had not done a good job of explanining what Augmented intelligence is and how it differs from Artifical intleligence. So I wanted to try to clear that up. Augmented intelligence is something of an older brother of artificial intelligence that tends to use AI in more of assistive role, emphasizing the fact that it is designed to enhance human intelligence rather than replace it. Where Artifiical inteligence tends to be perceived more as a complete replacement of human intelligence. Augmented intelligence is an alternative label for artificial intelligence which also reflects the current state of technology and research more accurately. While a sophisticated AI program is certainly capable of making a decision after analyzing patterns in large data sets, that decision is only as good as the data that human beings gave the programming to use.
