Keystone State Boychoir @20 Podcast celebrates all that has become Commonwealth Youthchoirs. Journey with us, starting in 2001 when Steve Fisher and Joe Fitzmartin founded Keystone State Boychoir (KSB), to 2003 when Pennsylvania Girlchoir (PG) was created and the Commonwealth Youthchoir organization was established. Seven years of transformative music making the young people of KSB and PG culminated in the creation of the school partner program Find Your Instrument in 2008. In 2017 and 2018, CY welcomed the Garden State Girlchoir and New Jersey Boychoir across the river into the CY family. Today, in this 20th season, CY is transforming hundreds of lives through the power of making music together - one song at a time. Don't miss this nostalgic and inspiring sojourn launching in February of 2021 with host Steve Fisher and co-host Linda Deis, and featuring past and current Singers, Parents & Friends to tell this remarkable story.

This Episode honors Graduating Senior Sara Parker. Sara has had an amazing choral journey with us, singing in Pennsylvania Girlchoir (PG) for six years. Sara began as a Trouvere in 7th grade and made her way through the ranks, all the way up to Anonymous 16. So many transformative experiences! From performing the world premier of Philadelphia Voices with The Philadelphia Orchestra, to touring Spain and Australia. Sara is a visual artist as well, and she has exciting plans for the future. It's noteworthy that Sara was president of PG in her last year, but the truth is she's been a leader from the very beginning. Sara never just talked the talk, she walked the walk and sang the song! Along the way, Sara formed some very special friendships. One of them is with Victoria Conroy, who will be Sara's special podcast guest, and vice versa. Sincere thanks to mom and dad Elizabeth and Scott. Thank you for everything. What a thoughtful, radiant young woman you've raised! CY is proud to have been a part of her journey from childhood to womanhood. Support the show (https://fishermanpodcasts.com/become-a-member)
