An all-out cartel war has erupted in Mexico, just miles from the U.S. border, leaving officials concerned about the violence spilling into Texas. In this podcast clip from the Reed Morin Show, we dive into the deadly gun battles that resulted in six people killed and vehicles with Texas license plates burned out and riddled with bullets, as reported by state police. The Mexican military has been deployed to stop the chaos, taking on the cartel in urban combat across a city of one million people. Soldiers have been pictured in bombed-out luxury homes and apartment buildings in the city center, engaging cartel members in intense firefights. Cartel operatives have retaliated by setting fire to vehicles and blocking roads to slow military reinforcements, though over 125 armored military vehicles have already arrived to take back control.
