They unpack the long-running “are phosphates a thing?” debate, why South Florida sees big swings, and how phosphates intersect with salt systems, algae control, and filter life. Mid-show, Rudy drops in a short interview with Joe Trusty on where AI is already helping pool pros. Back with the duo, you'll get practical strategies: when to treat, what “weekly micro-dosing” looks like, why some removers cloud and others don't, and a clear explanation of orthophosphates vs. organic phosphates. Pennsylvania is in its third month without a state budget, pausing payments for schools, counties and various human services. Democrats and Republicans are insisting they’re close to an agreement. Partisan interests continue to shape this November's fight over whether to retain three Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices. Dozens of schools in Pennsylvania are planning to build solar panels on their roofs. And they’re hoping to use federal tax credits to cut their costs. These tax credits are ending early — but many schools seem to be sticking with their original plans. A new study shows schools in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties could save more than $26 million by going solar. The nonprofit PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center's study demonstrates how solar energy could reverse many school districts' energy-inefficient buildings. Dauphin County Commissioners defeated a resolution Wednesday that would have restricted the county's assistance with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). And a deeper dive: NPR’s Scott Detrow, host of All Things Considered, reflects on his time working for WITF and the importance of the NPR network and member station relationship especially after the rescission of federal funding. This week on The Worthwild Podcast, I sit down with Katie T to talk all things self-worth, healing, and growth. Katie shares her journey moving from England to Ireland and then all the way to New Zealand, and the lessons she's learned about belonging, people-pleasing, and finding her own voice along the way. After an unhealthy relationship left her feeling disconnected, Katie chose to rediscover herself. That's when she found spaces like Lighthouse, where she began leaning into vulnerability, self-awareness, and self-love. We talk about how healing isn't a finish line but a daily choice, the magic of small joys and gratitude, and what it actually means to choose yourself (spoiler: it's never the wrong choice). Katie also shares her experience with Outward Bound and how stepping outside your comfort zone can help you meet yourself in new ways. This is an honest, hopeful, and heart-filled conversation that reminds us that every part of who we are is worthy of compassion.
Let's be honest: most people will sit down, listen to a podcast, give their best “OMG! So true, bestie!” and then promptly move the fuck on with their lives. My guest today is NOT one of those people. My dear friend Dily is here to share about her Connected Woman journey, and let me tell you…she is an amazing example of the kind of dedication and courage self-development work actually takes. Dily is one of the most fearless, determined, proactive human beings in the world. When she learns something new, she doesn't just let it go in one ear and out the other; she actively implements it. She is passionate about growth and stretching herself past her comfort zone, and I know for fucking CERTAIN that's a skill we all need more practice with. This is a woman who is happy to take herself on a trip for scuba-diving lessons…in shark-infested waters…where a fucking CYCLONE just tore through, no less…but struggles deeply with opening herself up and being vulnerable. Yet she's here today to share with all of you, and I could not be prouder. We could all learn a thing or two from Dily.
