I'll be in NYC Saturday the 20th for Climate Strike and will be live on my You Tube channel (see below). I talk a little about why a 'doomer' is looking forward to going to Climate Strike. Dr. Kate Marvel in* Scientific American* tells Jonathan Franzen to "shut up" over his article in The New Yorker. Why? Do us 'doomers' have a right to draw out own conclusions? A contentious debate online and in the pages of Scientific American. Being a 'doomer' does not mean lying down and dying. I talk a little about the idea behind 'going down fighting.' There is much to do to take care of people. And besides, Franzen was actually writing about what people could do. No one has the right to order well-meaning people to 'shut up' on climate issues.
