In this 9th solo episode, I talk about why we're in Mexico. Two main reasons: I wanted to give the wife a break; I had another medical procedure done. After the misery of recovering from previous procedures, I figured if I had to go through it again, I'd rather recover on a beach in Cancun with unlimited good food & drink.I share our awful experience at an all-inclusive resort. We had to leave after the first night and transferred to a Hilton property. For just $50 more per night, the difference was night-and-day.I also discuss why I've been doing these podcasts solo since my return. You'll hear my thoughts on social media engagement and the toxic comparison culture it breeds.

Build A Life You Don't Need a Vacation From! In this episode of Richer Soul, we welcome Erin Bradley, a speaker, trainer, bestselling author, and the host of Pursuing Freedom. Erin takes us on a journey through her evolving relationship with money, shaped by early family experiences, career challenges, and the pursuit of a life aligned with her values. Her inspiring story is a testament to the idea that financial success isn't just about numbers—it's about mindset and intention. Key Takeaways: The Role of Family and Early Experiences: Growing up as the youngest of five in a family that faced the volatile ups and downs of stock market investments, Erin learned firsthand the emotional impact of financial stress. This instilled both limiting beliefs and invaluable lessons about resilience and resourcefulness. Breaking Through Money Blocks: Erin candidly discusses her internal struggle with money during her early career, rooted in her belief that wealth and happiness were at odds. Her journey emphasizes the importance of addressing these mental blocks to achieve true financial freedom. Designing a Business Around Fulfillment: After facing burnout and the emotional toll of an unbalanced work life, Erin redefined her approach to entrepreneurship. She emphasizes creating a business model that aligns with personal values, prioritizing joy and freedom over conventional measures of success. The Power of Mindset and Vision: Erin's mantra, “The goal is to build a life you don't need a vacation from,” reflects her belief that intentional design, systems, and support are key to living a fulfilling and financially stable life. Money Learning: Erin's financial journey showcases the power of redefining one's money narrative. She highlights the importance of addressing limiting beliefs, designing systems for success, and staying open to new ways of thinking about wealth. Her transformation from a scarcity mindset to one of abundance is a valuable lesson for anyone seeking financial growth. Bio: Erin Bradley is a seasoned real estate professional, dynamic speaker, and the host of the acclaimed Pursuing Freedom podcast. With years of entrepreneurial experience, she's navigated the highs and lows of business ownership, learning to align her work with her vision of a joyful and fulfilling life. Through her books and training, Erin empowers others to prioritize freedom and create systems that support their dreams. Key Discussion Points: Early Lessons in Financial Stress: Erin shares vivid memories of growing up in a household deeply tied to the stock market, including the emotional and financial strains during market downturns. She describes the pressure of living in a “dream home” that symbolized wealth to outsiders but represented stress internally. Overcoming Burnout: Erin opens up about her early struggles with financial management and the eventual realization that traditional paths to success weren't aligned with her values. She describes the turning point when she restructured her business to reflect her personal goals and priorities. Shifting Money Mindsets: A significant part of Erin's journey involved challenging her belief that money and happiness were mutually exclusive. By addressing these limiting beliefs, she opened the door to new possibilities for financial and personal growth. Empowering Others to Seek Freedom: Through her coaching and speaking engagements, Erin inspires audiences to embrace their potential, teaching that success doesn't have to come at the expense of fulfillment. Conclusion Erin Bradley's story is a powerful reminder that financial freedom starts with redefining our beliefs about money and aligning our choices with our values. Her journey from financial stress to fulfillment is an inspiring roadmap for anyone looking to build a life of abundance and joy. Erin leaves us with the hope that, with the right mindset and intentional planning, we can all design a life we don't need to escape from.
