Recently at Saint Catherine Academy in Belize City a series of workshops were held with the intention of equipping the young women of Belize with the skills necessary to thrive in everyday life after school is completed. SCA prides itself on being a center of Excellence and Innovation and as such the school has pioneered teaching young women with high academic standards; and now these same young women have hands-on, practical tools in many situations that were typically male fields. A day will soon come when a graduate of SCA will no longer be a 'damsel in distress'.
