Dublin City Council yesterday launched the 2026 Crowdfund Dublin City Programme, continuing its support for community?led projects that strengthen and improve neighbourhoods across the city. The launch took place at The Mansion House, where the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam, formally opened the Spring funding round. Since the programme was first introduced in September 2023, it has received an amazing response, not only from project creators but also from the communities who have backed and supported these ideas. Dublin City Council was delighted to welcome previous project creators to this year's launch event. So far, €228,249 has been raised across 39 projects, supported by 1,869 backers. The projects have been wide?ranging — from sports equipment and community gardens to murals, art exhibitions, chef training to help people into employment, cultural and historical publications, and initiatives promoting recycling and the circular economy. Crowdfunding has offered a unique way for groups across the city to raise funds, and it has encouraged the Council to work in new and more collaborative ways. The success of the programme to date shows how powerful this approach can be for communities of all sizes. Speaking at the event, the Lord Mayor said, "The Crowdfund Dublin City Programme continues to highlight the creativity, passion and commitment that exists within communities across our city. Each year, residents and local groups come together to imagine new ways of enhancing their neighbourhoods and building community spirit." "As we launch the 2026 round, I am excited to see the ideas that will emerge—projects that reflect the values and energy of the people who call Dublin home. This programme gives communities the tools and support they need to create meaningful change." La décision de Donald Trump d'attaquer l'Iran a surtout été une question d'instinct. C'est ce qu'il a laissé entendre mardi (3 mars 2026) aux côtés du chancelier allemand Friedrich Merz. « Donald Trump suit son instinct et ses conseillers à la sécurité nationale tentent de suivre le rythme », titre ainsi le New York Times. Des conseillers qui se comptent d'ailleurs sur les doigts d'une main. Littéralement : pour l'Iran, ils étaient cinq autour du président. Aujourd'hui, écrit le New York Times, le Conseil de sécurité nationale est réduit à exécuter les décisions présidentielles. Des décisions contradictoires, voire incohérentes. Avec comme principale conséquence : la difficulté à anticiper ce qui pourrait mal tourner. Ce pessimisme agace le Wall Street Journal. « Cinq jours après le début de la guerre, on pourrait penser, d'après la couverture médiatique et les commentaires, que les États-Unis sont en train de perdre », écrit le quotidien économique, qui poursuit : « Mais maintenant que la guerre est en cours, notre point de vue, peut-être démodé, est que nous devons espérer que les États-Unis remportent un succès tant militaire que stratégique. Et peut-être qu'avant d'anticiper ou d'applaudir l'échec, nous pourrions attendre de voir comment les choses évoluent. »   Une conférence de presse millimétrée En Argentine, le gendarme Nahuel Gallo a donné hier (4 mars 2026) sa première conférence de presse depuis sa libération. Ce que dénonce TalCual qui consacre un article à la Zone 7, l'un des nombreux centres de détention vénézuéliens. Le président de l'Assemblée nationale avait promis que tous ceux qui y sont enfermés seraient libérés, une fois, la loi d'amnistie approuvée. La Côte d'Ivoire accueille depuis près de cinq ans de nombreux réfugiés fuyant la crise sécuritaire au Burkina voisin. Selon le HCR, il y aurait près de 80 000 réfugiés dans le nord du pays, en majorité des Burkinabè. Bien souvent hébergés et aidés par les populations des villages proches de la frontière, à Brondougou, une ferme mise en place par l'ONG Living Soils et financée par le Programme alimentaire mondial et l'Union européenne les forme depuis quelques mois à l'agroécologie.  De notre envoyée spéciale de retour de Brondougou, Diénaba Tall a fui le Burkina il y a quatre ans. Cette jeune de 19 ans est hébergée par une famille ivoirienne. Jusque-là, Diénaba enchaînait les petits boulots dans des restaurants en ville. Maintenant, dans cette ferme, cette jeune découvre l'aviculture et explique comment ils apprennent à nourrir les poulets avec des larves. Diénaba est épaulée par Nana Ouattara, une femme d'âge mûr. Cette veuve et mère de quatre enfants a accueilli plusieurs réfugiés pendant plus d'un an, sans aucune contrepartie : « On a beaucoup appris ici, on sait comment il faut faire, comment il faut élever des mouches soldats, comment il faut élever des poulets. Après ce projet, on peut le faire pour nous-mêmes », s'enorgueillit-elle. Dans cette ferme, les stagiaires apprennent aussi des techniques du maraîchage avec des engrais naturels. Cet enseignement pratique vise à lutter contre l'insécurité alimentaire des réfugiés et des familles hôtes. Et donc in fine, à les rendre moins dépendants des aides humanitaires. « Comme vous le voyez, nous avons utilisé des moyens simulant des bidons coupés. On en a à la maison, on les utilisera pour faire les larves, les faire grossir…, explique Amina Coulibaly, technicienne au sein de l'ONG Living Soils. Ce qu'ils vont obtenir à partir des déchets qu'ils vont donner aux larves va leur permettre d'enrichir le sol et en même temps, de pouvoir nourrir aussi une petite quantité de poulets, qui peut servir peut-être à la consommation familiale aussi. » Elle conclut que ces pratiques sont adaptées à cette zone-là. Une entente approfondie Cette formation a surtout permis aux populations hôtes et aux réfugiés de se rapprocher davantage, à travers le travail, comme l'explique Ibrahim Sidibé, arrivé en Côte d'Ivoire il y a trois ans. Cet ancien éleveur a depuis construit sa maison à côté de plantations d'anacarde, avec l'accord des riverains. « C'est l'entente entre nous et les villageois. Parce que bon, maintenant, on se connaît très bien. Je connais ceux du village, beaucoup me connaissent. Entre nous, il y a de l'entente », se réjouit-il. Depuis décembre, avec l'offensive de l'AFC/M23 dans le Sud-Kivu, plus de 60 000 réfugiés congolais ont été regroupés sur le site de Busuma, au Burundi. Un site prévu à l'origine pour accueillir 20 000 personnes et qui n'était encore à leur arrivée qu'un terrain vierge : pas d'abris, pas d'eau, pas d'infrastructures. Rien. Trois mois plus tard, malgré les efforts des humanitaires, les familles vivent toujours dans une immense précarité : promiscuité, manque d'eau, aide alimentaire tardive... À Busuma, l'urgence se heurte aux coupes budgétaires internationales. De notre envoyée spéciale de retour de Busuma Un camion-citerne entre sur le site. Rapidement, un attroupement se forme. Élizabeth, 25 ans, se faufile à l'arrière. Elle glisse sa bassine jaune en dessous du tuyau. Le camion est venu alimenter le centre de santé. Mais, elle espère grappiller quelques gouttes. « Je suis enceinte. Je ne peux pas marcher des heures pour aller puiser de l'eau à la source. Je prie pour avoir un peu de quoi faire à manger à mes enfants », explique-t-elle.  Elle a passé la journée à attendre devant le réservoir installé pour les réfugiés. Cela fait trois jours qu'elle n'a pas d'eau. « À la pompe, il n'y a déjà presque plus d'eau. Je suis encore loin dans la file. Je ne suis pas sûre du tout d'en avoir », poursuit-elle. Les équipes de Médecins sans frontières ont depuis installé une canalisation pour acheminer l'eau sur le site. Mais elle reste rare. Le choléra, qui avait frappé en décembre, est contenu et c'est maintenant la rougeole qui guette. Chaque jour, des agents de santé arpentent les allées poussiéreuses du site pour faire de la prévention. Une femme s'approche, son bébé contre elle. Il tousse, tremblant. « Je pense qu'il est tombé malade à cause du froid. Je n'ai reçu ni matelas, ni abri, ni couvertures. Il fait très froid la nuit. Sans aide, nous allons tous finir par tomber malades. », se désole-t-elle.  Le vent déferle en rafale pendant qu'elle nous parle. D'une main, elle retient la bâche qui menace de céder. Arrivée avec ses quatre enfants, sans rien, elle partage cette tente avec un inconnu qui l'a accueillie. Elle nous raconte : « La nuit mes enfants ont peur, et cela les empêche de dormir. Quand il pleut beaucoup, l'eau nous envahit et le vent emporte notre bâche en plastique. On passe des heures debout, sans fermer l'œil de la nuit. » Moins de la moitié des réfugiés ont reçu un abri Car à Busuma, trois mois après leur arrivée, moins de la moitié des réfugiés ont reçu un abri. La faute aux coupes drastiques dans l'aide internationale, déplore Simplice Kpandji, responsable local pour le Haut-Commissariat des Nations unies pour les réfugiés : « Nous pâtissons des coupes budgétaires. Les besoins sont immenses. Certains bailleurs nous soutiennent encore, mais ce n'est pas suffisant. Cela limite notre capacité à offrir un minimum de vie digne à ces réfugiés. C'est un grand problème que nous affrontons. » Depuis décembre, des dizaines de décès ont été recensés, surtout chez les enfants de moins de cinq ans. L'aide alimentaire a aussi tardé à être distribuée et le Programme alimentaire mondial envisage aujourd'hui de réduire de 25 % les rations car ses ressources s'épuisent. Zum einen ist er als Mitgründer der Pixel Maniacs ein erfahrener Indie-Entwickler, der 2016 mit seinem Team Chromagun an den Start rollte - eine Hommage an den Rätselklassiker Portal, in dem allerdings nicht Portale, sondern magnetische Farben verschossen werden. Ein Achtungserfolg, der nun, fast zehn Jahre später, zu einer Fortsetzung geführt hat: Chromagun 2 ist größer, hübscher, charmanter und macht Benjamin Lochmann sichtlich stolz. Zum anderen ist da aber auch noch der Sturm-und-Drang-Unternehmer: Mit 16 programmierte Benjamin erste Programme, mit 18 gründete er seine erste Firma, in seinen frühen 20-ern entwickelte er dann hunderte Apps, die vom "SaufTracker" über "Fatty Jump" bis hin zu Frauen- und Männerversteher-Lexikas reichten. All das passierte vor den Pixel Maniacs, spielte aber für die Refinanzierung des Studios auch Jahre nach der letzten App-Veröffentlichung noch eine wichtige Rolle. Seachtain na Gaeilge is set to bring a vibrant, county-wide celebration of the Irish language to communities right across Clare. This year, Clare County Council, in partnership with An Clár as Gaeilge, Clare GAA, Clare Libraries and Conradh na Gaeilge, has launched a co-ordinated programme of events — creating one shared calendar to encourage people of all ages and levels of Irish to get involved.
