We’re fed this lie that being a mom means we have a messy car and even messier life. It’s “mom life” right? From sleepless nights to showing up late for everything, the expectation is simply that we’re overwhelmed and drowning. But what if I’m here to tel
Join me as I interview my good friend, Rossi, who shares about her husbands deployment, how her family prepares for them and the prayers she prays as he's deployed. I've always wondered how to be a support to my friends as their loved one deploys and she gave so many helpful ways we can support those we love as they serve our country. I used to think that I was victim to the swirling thoughts in my mind and I had no control over them. It's true, but I can take those unhealthy and toxic thoughts captive and replace them with things that are "authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind… and fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God" (Phil. 4:8). Join me as I found a quiet moment in my home (spoiler alert, you can hear my baby asking me to start his show over!) and discuss what I do to capture those intrusive thoughts and get back on track, thinking about things that are holy, just and good!

It's easy for people to get to the end of a hard struggle and gloss over the hard parts of our waiting seasons and just talk about the miracle at the end but that doesn't help the rest of us in the messy seasons of waiting. I share our story of delayed fertility, adoption and God's redemption through all our hardest seasons. Notable Quotes: “When they heard the testimony of what God had done, the anointing on the testimony opened a realm of possibility. The atmosphere became pregnant with the opportunity for the miracle that had been described in the testimony to be duplicated. When they engaged their faith and stepped into that opportunity in the slightest measure, that possibility became reality.” Bill Johnson Sharing our testimony of Gods faithfulness through the hard seasons describes his character through the hardest season and is a reminder of how he can perform those miracles again. “He's not just sitting ringside; He's in the ring with you, in your corner, fighting for you. He doesn't just want you to know He loves you; He's there to do something about it.” Jennie Lusko
I get down to the nitty gritty when I share my own struggle with an eating disorder and the miraculous way that God healed my mind. It still took time for my body to heal and I had a whole learning curve of how to take care of my body well, because I want to honor my body but also teach my daughter to have a healthy relationship with food and model treating my body well. Join me as I discuss what that looks like as we're raising a young girl and how I'm modeling that in a healthly way.

As all of us, I'm a busy mom… It's easy to let the “invisible” time spent in the word disappear. Join me as I talk about giving God our first fruits in our time and establishing spiritual disciplines as a busy mom. Show Notes: The Principle of Rest by Pastor Robert Morris - https://youtu.be/md76NH5kosI SOAP Study Style It's not fancy, all you need is a journal, Bible and a few minutes to yourself. I usually take a verse or two from my reading plan and spend some time studying or meditating on it. Scripture: Just start reading and write out a verse that stands out to you Observe: Reflect on what you've read. Ask Questions, what phrase jumps out to you? What was taking place? Who was there? Dig deeper by using resources like the Logos Bible app or Blue Letter Bible to find out the original meanings. If your version has good footnotes, check them out. Write down your observations. Apply: Here's where you connect what you've read with your life. Is there something you need to change or start? Write down the applications that come to your mind to reflect the season you're in. Prayer: Talk with God. He's spoke to you through His word, and now you get to thank him and ask Him to help you act on what you've learned. Write out your prayers.
