Just a nerd, babbling about history at her friends. She thinks she's funny. Instagram is focused on the history of New York City.

Let's Find Out Together: Titanic (1997) by Okay, So...
Henry VIII got around. Let's discuss him and his first three wives, Catherine of Aragon (NOT Aragorn), Anne Boleyn (Dani loves her), and Jane Seymour (NOT Dr. Quinn) We will answer all of your burning questions: How did a small plague lead to Henry being king? How far will one horny dude go to sleep with one sexy lady? (Spoiler: far) How long is appropriate a wait between beheading one wife and becoming betrothed to the next? (Spoiler: apparently not very long)
The epic story of Cleopatra (technically Cleopatra VII), Julius Caesar, Marc Antony, her affairs with both, AND the start of the Fall of the Roman Republic has been conveniently condensed into less than an hour in this lovely first-time solo host show. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn. You're Welcome. Enjoy!
The Greatest Showman is a fantastic movie. PT Barnum was not a fantastic human. Dani has a lot of conflicting feelings over the two. Sync and watch along with her and listen to her correct the historical inaccuracies, work really hard on not singing along, and trail off a lot mid-sentence as she gets distracted by the pretty shiny things onscreen. It's a good time.
Dani is joined by friends LeeAnna and Riker, and they kind of stumble into discussing how horrible safety conditions were in the turn of the century New York City. They discuss the PS General Slocum ship disaster that killed 1500 (mostly) women and children in full view of bystanders on the East River shorelines. Then they get to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, which killed 150 (mostly) young immigrant girls, also in front of thousands of witnesses, and which led to massive workplace safety changes. And finally, they touch on the horrendous tale of the Radium Girls, which will be discussed more fully at a later date, for sure. Please keep in mind that for the most part Dani is talking from memory. In honor of the 106th anniversary of the sinking, Dani is joined by friend Rebecca and sister NatColl to watch one of the most important films in her life: Titanic. Trust us, it's better than you remember. Especially accompanied by these three humans.
It's just like you're watching a movie with Dani, weird noise reactions, historical corrections and unexpected observations galore. Pull up Gangs of New York on Netflix, or find your copy, and sync and watch along with Dani. This is the first of an ongoing series.
It's just like you're watching a movie with Dani, weird noise reactions, historical corrections and unexpected observations galore. But you are very busy and important and don't have TIME to sit and watch that whole movie. It's a long movie! So here is the highlights reel, of the stuff you don't have to be watching the movie to understand. It's highly recommended that you have already seen Gangs of New York, though. This is the first of an ongoing series.
In part 2/3 of the American Horror Story series, Dani gets suuuuper into the Hotel Cecil, inspiration for the Hotel Coronado. Guests Alexandra (@alexandratattoos) and Billy (@w.lydayart) share their thoughts and experiences as well. We also discuss Delphine Lalaurie, and Nellie Bly & Josef Mengele, inspirations for AHS Coven and Asylum, respectively. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, and if you feel so inclined as to leave a review, there would definitely be no objections.
Dani is joined by new cohosts Billy and Joel (but not Billy Joel, sorry) and they discuss historical stories behind two seasons of American Horror Story: Coven and Cult. They discuss famous cult leaders and the fascinating true stories behind them. And, of course, there are tons of tangents. Because how else would we do this show?
We're FINALLY back! After a long long hiatus we have returned! Did you miss us? Where were we? Listen and we'll tell you. We return to discuss Dani's first history obsession: The Titanic! Is it overly discussed? Maybe, but probably not like this. We make our own fun. Like discussing lettuce, and who saved the dogs on the Titanic? Side note: neither of us can remember saying "Beam me up" so we are pretty sure our house is haunted by a really nerdy ghost.
