CEO Glow Show Hosted by Sheila Bella, Founder of Pretty Rich Bosses Featuring Sally Nicole Why are so many business owners acting allergic to one of the most powerful FREE marketing tools available? In this episode of the CEO Glow Show, Sheila Bella sits down with Sally Nicole for a candid conversation about social media, content confidence, authenticity, and why posting online could be one of the biggest opportunities you're leaving on the table. Sally calls content your "social capital" because it can bring you money, clients, relationships, collaborations, and opportunities—and you can start creating it without paying for advertising. And here's the best news: your content does not have to be perfect. Sheila shares that after years of creating highly edited, polished content, some of her simplest and most relatable posts helped drive explosive growth. In just a few months, she added approximately 200,000 followers as she leaned into more natural, low-effort content. Sheila and Sally discuss why entrepreneurs need a healthy mix of low-, medium-, and high-effort content—and why the casual videos you almost don't post can sometimes create the strongest connection with your audience. They also tackle one of the biggest excuses business owners make: "But I'm an introvert." You don't need to become someone else to succeed online. Introverts can attract introverts. Extroverts can attract extroverts. The goal isn't to perform—it's to allow the right people to connect with the real you. If you own a beauty business, personal brand, or service-based company and you're still hiding from social media because you're shy, overthinking your content, or convinced you have nothing to say, this episode is your sign to put up the phone and START TALKING. Social media gives entrepreneurs access to an audience that previous generations would have paid thousands of dollars to reach. So why are you acting allergic to free money?

Summer School (1987) Review | Vintage Cinema Review in the Ol' Dirty BasementDave, Matt, and Zap welcome viewers to the Vintage Cinema Review and spotlight Carl Reiner's 1987 comedy Summer School, sharing personal memories about summer school, '80s culture, and old-school film development. They cover the film's release details, filming locations, box office, and cast, then walk through the plot of gym teacher Freddie Shoop (Mark Harmon) being forced to teach remedial English, bonding with a group of misfit students through unconventional field trips and deals, clashing with Vice Principal Gills, and ultimately helping the class improve enough to secure his tenure while romance develops with fellow teacher Robin Bishop (Kirstie Alley). They add fun facts, listener shout-outs, and end with their “late fee, return, or burn” ratings: Matt and Zap return it, while Dave late-fees it, and they tease Matt's next pick.00:00 Welcome to Vintage Cinema00:30 Why Summer School Rules00:37 Summer School Memories02:34 Movie Facts and Locations04:09 Cast Roll Call05:15 Marker06:10 VHS Style Synopsis07:06 Listener Shout Outs09:13 Plot Setup and Lottery Twist10:52 Nicknames and 80s Montage16:34 Meet the Misfit Class17:38 Field Trips vs Real Teaching20:18 80s Details and DUI Talk25:11 Favorite Students and Jobs28:11 Robin Bishop and Deal Making30:06 Best Scenes and 80s Weirdness34:19 Questionable Movie Age Gap35:11 Courtney Thorne Smith Career35:35 Reel to Reel School Movies37:26 Rent A Center Returns39:23 Kirstie Alley Crush41:14 Denim Outfit Debate42:08 Beach Bust And Jail46:00 Chocodiles And Free Stuff51:54 Final Exam And Scores53:31 Tenure And Beach Romance56:15 Remake Talk And Feedback57:17 Fun Facts And Soundtrack01:04:15 Ratings Late Fee Return Burn01:06:20 Wrap Up And Next Pick

Episode 156: Starting an Instagram Account From Scratch: How Therapists Can Get Cash-Pay Clients With a Small Audience Can you actually get cash-pay clients from Instagram if you only have 100, 300, or 500 followers? And if you're starting an Instagram account from scratch, what should you focus on first if you want your content to eventually help grow your private practice? A few months ago, I unexpectedly lost my entire Instagram account — nearly 10,000 followers, years of content, client wins, memories, and a community I had spent years building. So now, I'm rebuilding my Instagram account from scratch. And as frustrating and humbling as this experience has been, it's given me a completely new perspective on Instagram marketing for therapists, growing a small audience, creating content that attracts the right people, and getting cash-pay client inquiries before you have thousands of followers. Because one of the biggest things rebuilding has reminded me of is this: You do not need a big Instagram following to get clients. I built my first six-figure business with fewer than 2,000 followers. I've helped therapists with small audiences get clients and generate recurring revenue from their content. And now, I'm putting those same strategies back into practice as I rebuild my own account in real time. If you're starting your Instagram account, growing a smaller audience, or posting consistently and wondering when all of this is actually going to turn into clients, this episode is for you. In this episode, you'll learn: Why you don't need thousands of Instagram followers to start getting cash-pay clients What to focus on when you're starting or growing a smaller Instagram account How to create content that attracts the right people — not just more views How to get clear on what you want to be known for so the right clients recognize that your work is for them Why you can grow your audience and get client inquiries at the same time (you don't have to wait!) How to stop letting a small following keep you from showing up, sharing your work, and building the practice you want You don't need 10,000 followers. You need the right people finding you, feeling seen by your content, understanding how you can help them, trusting your perspective, and knowing they can work with you. And you can start building that now — even with a small audience. FREE: 30 Instagram Hooks for Therapists If you've been staring at a blank Reel wondering, "Okay… but what do I actually say?" I created something for you. Grab my free Instagram Hooks Guide for Therapists for hooks you can use to help the right people stop scrolling, pay attention, and want to hear more from you. If you're starting an Instagram account, rebuilding your audience, or you've been posting but aren't seeing the followers or client inquiries you want, you don't have to keep guessing what to change. Inside my 90-Minute 1:1 Content Intensive, we'll look at your Instagram, ideal clients, messaging, and content together. You'll leave with a personalized plan to help you create content that attracts more aligned followers, nurtures the people already watching, and creates more opportunities for cash-pay clients to reach out and work with you. The investment is $497 USD. Book your 90-Minute Content Intensive: HERE And if you want to follow along as I rebuild my own Instagram account from scratch, come find me at @thelizfernandez.co. This one came straight out of the Coaching Youth Hoops Facebook group and it lit the group up: how do you get kids to focus and concentrate during practice? Coach Collins opens with the honest answer, a CYO season he calls the worst coaching experience of his 20 year career. Talented team, could have won everything, and the attention span was next to zero. From there the guys get practical about what actually moves the needle, and what does not. IN THIS EPISODE 01:24 Tryout season is here. What Coaching Youth Hoops has ready for you as August winds down. 01:59 A free resource for structuring your tryouts, sitting under the free resources tab at the top of the menu. 02:17 Hey Sami, the new project built to cut the admin load for youth sports parents and coaches, plus the official launch of the Hey Sami podcast. One parent question answered per episode. Send yours to hey@heysami.com. 03:37 The question from the Facebook group, and the CYO team that pushed Coach Collins to the edge. 04:46 Why playing time is the strongest lever you have, and what happens when equal playing time rules take that lever away. 05:18 The kid who ran the entire practice. When running stops being a solution and starts being a symptom. 05:44 The COVID factor, and why that group came back different. 06:17 Idle minds make idle players. No dead time, ever. If they stand for 30 seconds they will find something to do with their hands. 07:03 The problem with that rule: you still have to stop and teach sometimes. 07:25 Grab your most hyper kid as the demonstrator. Same move as putting the disruptive student in the front row. 07:30 Build in consequences. Dribbling while you talk gets one warning, then it costs them. 08:19 Coach it like a Reel. If you cannot teach it in 30 seconds, break it into smaller pieces. 09:39 The best practice planning advice in the episode: if you have 90 minutes on the floor, have three hours ready on paper. Some of it is going to blow up. 10:13 Teach step one, go do step one, then come back. Why showing the whole scheme loses the room. 11:20 The huddle test. Eyes drifting, no eye contact, so pause, wait, then ask them to repeat what you just said. 11:35 Kids do not automatically read verbal and nonverbal cues. Teaching that is part of the job, not a distraction from it. 11:55 Bring your questions to the Coaching Youth Hoops Facebook group. This episode started there. KEY TAKEAWAYS Structure beats discipline. A practice with no dead time solves most focus problems before they start.Over plan every session. Three hours of material for a 90 minute practice.Teach in 30 second pieces, then go do it, then come back for the next piece.Consequences need to be immediate, consistent, and small. One warning, then it costs something.Use your most restless player as the demonstrator instead of fighting him.Attention is a skill you are teaching, not a trait they show up with. Welcome to The Reel Schmooze with ToI film reviewer Jordan Hoffman and host Amanda Borschel-Dan, where we bring you all the entertainment news and film reviews a Jew can use. Taking a break from pulling classics out of the vaults, this week's film, "Don't Say Good Luck," just dropped on Netflix. Sunny Sandler stars as a 16-year-old theater kid, backed up by a cast including Melanie Lynskey, Max Greenfield, Stephanie Beatriz, Bebe Neuwirth, and Steve Buscemi. Within minutes, it's clear that what could have been a superficial teen flick produced by Adam and Jackie Sandler is a relatable look at "the show going on" while a family member fights cancer. Notes Hoffman, that depth may be due in part to the involvement of director Julia Hart and co-producer/writer Jordan Horowitz -- both veteran filmmakers with proven hits. However, it is Sunny Sandler who is the glowing glue of the movie, providing singing and acting chops rare in a 16-year-old. Hoffman gives a bit of the backstory behind the movie's production and insight into the choice of "The Waitress" as the play within the film. Labeling it a "weeper," he qualifies that it's not really a downer, rather realistically portrays the family's dilemmas. Borschel-Dan, who watched with two of her teenagers, realizes they are 100% the target audience for this intergenerational, Jewish-coded tale that is all too familiar. Let’s hear who gave this film an “oy,” “meh” or the prized “not bad” this week on The Reel Schmooze. Crystel y messaged on Patreon: "Hello again! I have continued to research keening and found this artist who I hadn't heard of before and was curious if you had ever come across her. I read that she died by suicide in the early 20 - teens but her son finished her last album called Biolingua and the song "Grief" takes my breath away. Her name is Eithne Ní Uallacháin and I found a couple of her albums on Apple Music. There is magic in her voice and lyrics; I'm not sure if there is a way to share her songs on the podcast but I thought you might enjoy her music regardless - I certainly do! I hope you're well and thank you for all that you do to keep Celtic music and culture accessible and thriving! It means more to me than I can even put into words, especially lately. Oh and to tie her music back to keening, someone in the UK did a podcast episode about her and discussed the song "Grief" as a possible iteration of modern keening :)" Shel O'Toole Messaged on Patreon: "I enjoyed the show today Marc. I've been developing an assessment tool for my work and really struggling with it but I put the podcast this morning and I finally got it completed. Music helped clear my head and also helped me focus on the task"

You don't fear posting—you fear who might be watching. In this episode of The Divorce Revolution Podcast, I'm talking about the real reason so many coaches hold back from being fully visible online and why it usually has less to do with confidence or imposter syndrome than we think. fileciteturn97file0 The truth is, most of us aren't afraid of being judged by strangers. We're worried about the ex-husband, family member, old coworker, school mom, or person from our past who might see us becoming someone new and think, "Who does she think she is?" I'm breaking down why building a business sometimes requires giving yourself permission to outgrow other people's perception of you, even when they're still attached to an older version of who you were. I also share the real cost of softening your opinions, deleting the Reel, or talking yourself out of sharing the story that could help someone feel seen. Because every time you choose invisibility to protect yourself from judgment, the people who need your message lose the opportunity to find you. If you've been censoring your content because you're worried about what people you know might think, then this episode is for you. Welcome to The Reel Schmooze with ToI film reviewer Jordan Hoffman and host Amanda Borschel-Dan, where we bring you all the entertainment news and film reviews a Jew can use. This week, we spend the entire episode on Haifa-born iconic animator Ralph Bakshi's 1977 sci-fi adventure, "Wizards." Distributed by 20th Century-Fox, the loose premise sets the film about 5,000 years in the future, following a World War III that left Earth so full of radiation to split humanity into fairy-type creatures and mutants. The majority of the raunchy ride builds up to a battle between twin brothers -- two wizards who represent magic or technology. Definitely not a kids' flick, the animation is violent and emphasizes several female fairies' -- ahem -- assets. Hoffman delves deeply into why this is a foundational film and explains the ongoing resonance of Bakshi's work. Borschel-Dan is much less impressed. Let’s hear who gave this film an “oy,” “meh” or the prized “not bad” this week on The Reel Schmooze. The Reel Schmooze is produced by Ari Schlacht and can be found wherever you get your podcasts.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

So I brought on my friend Bianca, founder of This Latina Travels, to break down the exact framework she uses to create Reels that actually connect with her audience and grew her following to 10,000+. We get into how to write hooks that stop the scroll, why an imperfect story beats perfect content every time, and how to figure out the "what's in it for me" that keeps people watching. She also shares her repurposing process for stretching one Reel across platforms, and unrelated, a beautiful way you and your clients can pay it forward while visiting Puerto Rico. If your content has been feeling a little flat, you're going to walk away with real ideas you can use today. In today's episode, Brock Johnson walks through 25 psychology tricks that make Reels go viral, organized by the exact job each one does in a video. He starts with hooks and openers — the curiosity gap, pattern interrupts, callout targeting, negativity bias, and open loops — and explains how each one stops the scroll in the first second. From there Brock moves into retention mechanics like the Zeigarnik effect, rapid cuts, visual countdowns, contrast framing, and micro-cliffhangers that keep people watching to the end. He breaks down the emotional triggers that make content land, including social proof, loss aversion, relatability shock, righteous anger, and aspiration mirroring. Brock also covers the sharing psychology behind identity signaling, "send this to" prompts, in-group language, and measured controversy, then finish with engagement drivers like the deliberate error, binary questions, fill-in-the-blank prompts, reciprocity, and curiosity-based CTAs. For each trick he gives a concrete example across different niches so you can see how to apply it to your own content, whether you're in fitness, finance, cooking, or anything else. The goal is to give you a practical toolkit you can pull from every time you sit down to script a Reel. Watch On YouTube
Welcome to The Reel Schmooze with ToI film reviewer Jordan Hoffman and host Amanda Borschel-Dan, where we bring you all the entertainment news and film reviews a Jew can use. We have two Jangles this week from our movie maven. In the first, we learn about just how Jewish the classic rock band Rush is, and how it was played up at its Madison Square Garden concerts this week. In the second, we learn about Spider-Man's Jewish roots -- and the Member of the Tribe who is third billing in the new blockbuster. The main feature this week is 1979's "The Frisco Kid," an extremely Jewish take on the Wild West starring Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford. We learn how both actors are Jewish according to Jewish law, but only Wilder claimed Judaism as part of his identity. For legions of American Jews, "The Frisco Kid" held pride of place in their VHS libraries. From all-Yiddish scenes to a deadly fight for a Torah scroll, the film was an outlier in mainstream Hollywood. So how did it get made at all? Hoffman fills us in on some of the backstory surrounding the making of the movie, as well as who was originally meant to play the goyische cowboy instead of Ford. Let’s hear who gave this film an “oy,” “meh” or the prized “not bad” this week on The Reel Schmooze. In today's episode, Brock Johnson breaks down a 7-step system for making money with a small Instagram account, and it starts with picking the right topic. The goal is finding where your proficiency meets profitability — where a skill you already have overlaps with something people will actually pay for. He walks through how to build a list of every hobby, interest, passion, and skill you have, then validate demand using tools like YouTube, Google Trends, Udemy, Teachable, and Amazon, or simply by posting and listening to how people respond. Lived experience beats everything here, so I explain why the topics you've actually walked through carry the most weight. From there, Brock covers the execution side: optimizing your profile, committing to a minimum of one Reel per day with 80% focused on your topic, and signing up for affiliate programs to start promoting. I get into why listening is the key to uncovering real needs, how building in public compounds trust, and why selling in the DMs converts far better than a bio link. He closes by explaining the follow-to-DM and ManyChat automation approach — a 4-step viewer-to-customer system that lets you have those DM conversations at scale. Watch On YouTube
In today's episode, Brock Johnson is breaking down 10 recent leaks and updates about the Instagram algorithm, several coming directly from Adam Mosseri and Meta. He covers why Reels now generate more than 4X the interactions of single-image posts, how average Reel watch time has more than doubled year over year to 8.5 seconds, and what Metricool's analysis of 24 million posts reveals about asking for engagement — including that asking for likes actually gets you 5% fewer likes, while comments jump 203% and saves climb 92% when you prompt for those instead. Brock also gets into the practical tactics you can apply right now: editing comments, reordering your profile, and writing a different caption for each carousel slide. Then he tackles the bigger shifts — Meta's plan to replace 90% of its content review staff with AI, why removing bots from your account could hurt more than help, and why Mosseri says the "best time to post" is a myth despite HubSpot, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, and SocialPilot all publishing conflicting windows.
