Send us Fan MailScott and Michelle continue their journey through Halloween Horror Nights history with a deep dive into Halloween Horror Nights 27, the 2017 event that delivered an incredible mixture of blockbuster horror properties, original concepts, and one of the strangest event mascots in HHN history.HHN 27 ran from September 15 through November 4, 2017, featuring nine haunted houses, five official scare zones, and two live shows. At the center of the event was Bone, the mysterious skeletal character associated with Festival of the Deadliest, a scare zone celebrating some of the deadliest creatures and killers imaginable. Bone became one of those HHN characters that fans couldn't help but remember. But the houses were where 2017 really made its mark. The guys break down the arrival of Stranger Things, which transported guests into Hawkins and the Upside Down, as well as The Shining, bringing the terrifying Overlook Hotel and Jack Torrance to life. They also revisit Ash vs Evil Dead, the return of American Horror Story with Asylum, Coven, and Roanoke, The Horrors of Blumhouse, and another chapter of The Walking Dead. The 2017 American Horror Story house specifically combined three seasons of the series into one experience. The original houses get plenty of attention as well, including Scarecrow: The Reaping, Dead Waters, and The Hive, while the streets offered memorable experiences such as Trick 'r Treat, The Purge, Invasion!, Chainsaw Clown Horde, and Festival of the Deadliest. The episode also looks at the impact of Hurricane Irma, which hit Florida just before the event and affected the preparation and opening presentation of several scare zones. Scott and Michelle break down the houses, zones, shows, characters, atmosphere, and overall legacy of HHN 27, while asking whether 2017 deserves to be remembered as one of the more underrated years of the 2010s.It's time to open the Time Capsule and head back to 2017.Make your rooms, cars and life smell like your favorite Theme Park and save 15% by using code THNETWORK and  clicking here:https://magiccandlecompany.com?sca_ref=8499280.CVzaCEZ7KoGhost Executioners Merchandise!https://www.teepublic.com/user/thehorrificnetwork?utm_source=designer&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=horrificnetworkFollow All Things Horrific Network Herehttps://linktr.ee/thehorrificnetworkGet Your Sinister Creature Con Tickets Herehttps://www.sinistercreaturecon.com/thecon

The house blurred the line between Chance's fantasies and reality as guests entered her disturbing playground of carnage. But Chance wasn't the only attraction.HHN 26 delivered an impressive lineup of horror properties, including The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Exorcist, Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield, Krampus, The Walking Dead, and the highly anticipated American Horror Story house. The American Horror Story house was particularly ambitious, combining three seasons of the FX series — Murder House, Freak Show, and Hotel — into a single experience, making it one of the event's most talked-about IPs that yearMake your rooms, cars and life smell like your favorite Theme Park and save 15% by using code THNETWORK and  clicking here:https://magiccandlecompany.com?sca_ref=8499280.CVzaCEZ7KoGhost Executioners Merchandise!https://www.teepublic.com/user/thehorrificnetwork?utm_source=designer&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=horrificnetworkFollow All Things Horrific Network Herehttps://linktr.ee/thehorrificnetworkGet Your Sinister Creature Con Tickets Herehttps://www.sinistercreaturecon.com/thecon

The summer is for blockbusters and big budget movies, but in between there are plenty of smaller, independent films to be found. From camel rides to West Nile mosquitoes, somehow end up roasting Panera's move to Boston, and still find time to debate whether minivans are secretly awesome... congratulations, you've found today's episode. The crew kicks things off with one of the weirdest conversations you'll hear all week after camel videos completely derail the morning. From there it's straight into Missouri mosquito season, West Nile warnings, heat indexes trying to melt highways, and why everyone suddenly feels like checking every birdbath in the neighborhood. Then comes the biggest local story of the day: Panera officially announcing plans to move its headquarters from the St. Louis area to Boston. The gang reacts the only way they know how—with sarcastic conspiracy theories, fake boardroom jargon, Boston jokes, memories of St. Louis Bread Co., questionable bathroom reviews, and plenty of mourning for another hometown company heading east. Somehow the conversation also includes Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, bread bowls, hospital food, and the mysterious career path of CEO Paul Carbone. The chaos doesn't stop there. There's a wild retail theft story where social media becomes the criminals' biggest enemy, stories about detention, paddlings, school punishments that absolutely wouldn't fly today, and enough embarrassing childhood memories to keep therapists employed for years.Later, the crew unexpectedly becomes the biggest supporters of minivans you've ever heard. Sliding doors, cup holders, family road trips, captain's chairs, Toyota Siennas... suddenly everyone's wondering if they judged minivans way too harshly growing up.Of course, no episode would be complete without random tangents about neighborhood cats, weird internet nostalgia, ridiculous listener texts, and the kind of conversations that somehow only happen on The Rizzuto Show. Some people start their morning with coffee. We start ours by arguing about what the word "standby" actually means before immediately spiraling into ancient social media trauma. Seems healthy. This daily comedy show welcomes comedian Bobby Jaycox back into the studio, and from there the rails completely disappear. One minute we're talking about his stand-up shows, the next we're debating whether MySpace deserves another shot at world domination. Would you bring back your Top 8? Would Tom still be your first friend? More importantly... what embarrassing song was automatically blasting from your profile the second someone visited?Naturally, that conversation leads us into the greatest collection of forgotten internet memories imaginable. MySpace profile songs, HTML backgrounds, awkward teenage decisions, and the horrifying realization that some of those old photos may still exist somewhere in the digital universe waiting to ruin careers. As if nostalgia wasn't enough, Lauren somehow gets roped into doing a Chewbacca impression... and then convinces everyone else to try one too. The results are exactly as dignified as you'd expect from grown adults with microphones.Elsewhere in today's chaos...• Bobby shares stories about Nikki Glaser helping promote his comedy shows.• The crew debates whether listening to music should be a solo experience.• Rafe revisits one of the most questionable MySpace profile songs ever selected by a human being.• Moon explains why MySpace worked in the first place—and why bringing it back might be impossible.• Clone conspiracies somehow become a serious topic for several minutes.• Lauren runs through the latest celebrity news, music headlines, TV updates and entertainment gossip during Crap on Celebrities.• Ted Lasso returns.• American Horror Story gets its Avengers-style crossover season.• Eminem auctions off sneakers.• Demi Lovato shuts down clone theories... which naturally only fuels more clone theories around the room.• The gang ranks classic summer songs while simultaneously roasting Kenny Chesney, LFO, Brian Wilson, and basically everyone else. It's another episode where one conversation accidentally creates six more conversations, nobody stays on topic for long, and somehow that's exactly how we like it.Then Mike McKenna from Macadoodles walks into the studio carrying what might be the greatest gift Rafe has ever received: a full-size cardboard cutout of Willie Nelson. Naturally, that leads to conversations about THC drinks, sleep gummies, hemp regulations, getting way too high in Vegas, and why older adults are becoming the biggest fans of Willie Nelson's cannabis beverages. The crew also answers listener emails that somehow become full-blown debates. Is it weird to say hi to the spouses of radio personalities when you see them in public? Does gray hair actually make people more attractive? Should you ever dye it? Why do brothers care if their sister goes gray? The opinions are... surprisingly passionate. Then comes one of the biggest debates of the episode.A listener witnesses someone bringing a dog into a pizza restaurant... then placing the dog ON THE TABLE. The crew is completely split over what's acceptable, what's disgusting, where the line should be, and somehow babies, dirty diapers, dog hair, patios, and pizza all become part of the same conversation.Meanwhile Bobby prepares for his upcoming appearance at the Gathering of the Juggalos, everyone wonders what kind of chaos that comedy show will become, and Rafe volunteers to road trip despite claiming he's only doing it to pay off student loans. It's another completely unfiltered episode filled with ridiculous conversations, listener emails, celebrity randomness, weird news, and exactly the kind of nonsense you've come to expect from The Rizzuto Show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Mosquitoes in Desoto Test Positive for West Nile VirusExtreme heat buckles road on Highway K in O'FallonPanera to move headquarters from St. Louis to BostonMillennials are trying to make minivans cool again‘Millennials assemble': Myspace could be making a comebackSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Just looking at the music you've gathered over the years can give you insight into who you are and what you're about.   Whenever the hosts of "How We Heard" dig into their music collections, they always seem to find out more about themselves - sometimes more than they're expecting.   The guys are at it again on this week's episode, which prompts a free-flowing conversation about everything from old jazz to electronic dance music, from the glory to the pitfalls of live albums to the vague joy and uncertainty of rediscovering old albums they don't quite remember.   They discuss artists ranging from Radiohead and Beck to Santana and Ravi Shankar and focus on far-flung singer-songwriters including Aimee Mann and Ron Sexsmith.   Hosts Chuck Campbell and Wayne Bledsoe, both veteran music critics, also talk about how they handled reviews of Christian rock for the mainstream media as well as how they dealt with artists who used obscenities in their names or song/album titles.   And they dive into the past of Ryan Murphy, acclaimed Emmy-winning producer/director/screenwriter of TV's "Glee," "Nip/Tuck," "American Horror Story" and other shows as well as film adaptations of "Running With Scissors," "Eat, Pray, Love," "The Normal Heart" and "The Prom." Wayne explains what Murphy was doing in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the 1980s and what was he like back then.   When was the last time you really looked at your music collection? It could take you places you don't expect to go.

Editor – Payton Koch For Avatar: The Last Airbender editor Payton Koch, this job offered a very different kind of editorial challenge from his Emmy-nominated work on Only Murders in the Building. The series has to move between large-scale action, visual effects, martial arts, comedy, mythology and coming-of-age drama, often within the same sequence. It also has to satisfy a fanbase that knows this world extremely well while still making the story accessible to viewers coming to it for the first time. Based on the Nickelodeon series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a world divided into four nations — Water, Earth, Fire and Air — where certain people can "bend," or control, one of those elements. At the center of the story is Aang, the last surviving Air Nomad and the next Avatar, the one person capable of mastering all four elements and restoring balance to a world at war. Season Two takes Aang, Katara and Sokka deeper into the Earth Kingdom as they search for an earthbending teacher and make their way toward Ba Sing Se, the massive, heavily fortified capital of the Earth Kingdom. Along the way, the series expands its world with new allies, new enemies and a larger sense of the political and emotional cost of the Fire Nation's war. PAYTON KOCH Payton Koch is an Emmy-nominated picture editor with a diverse range of post-production credits on popular television series, including American Horror Story, Ratched and Only Murders in the Building. His work on the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building earned him multiple ACE Eddie Award nominations, as well as his first Primetime Emmy nomination in 2024. His additional credits include American Crime Story, The Politician, Home Before Dark, Just Beyond and The Boys in the Band.   Visit ExtremeMusic for all your production audio needs. She wasn't depressed. She was manic. And her doctor put her on antidepressants anyway.Alessandra Torresani — actress (Caprica, The Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story) and NAMI ambassador — spent over a decade misdiagnosed before learning she had Bipolar I Disorder. In this episode, she joins me to unpack what that decade cost her, how she got stable, and what she wishes every patient knew before walking into a psychiatrist's office.Alessandra brings firsthand experience managing Bipolar I Disorder, including more than three years off all psychiatric medication through pregnancy and breastfeeding. Drawing on my 11 years of clinical psychiatry before moving into regenerative medicine, we cover antidepressant-induced mania and its link to suicidal ideation, why bipolar disorder is routinely misdiagnosed as ADHD, and the symptom-tracking method that shortens the path to an accurate diagnosis. Alessandra walks through the non-pharmaceutical tools that kept her stable through pregnancy: transcendental meditation, breathwork, hypnobirthing, menstrual cycle tracking, clean nutrition, and ballet. I share emerging research on stem cell therapy for alcohol addiction, including animal studies showing up to 80% reduction in drinking behavior, along with how GLP-1 medications and NAD IV infusions are being used to reduce cravings and ease opiate withdrawal. We also get into the overprescription of stimulants like Adderall in young children, and why ruling out lifestyle factors — sleep, nutrition, screen time — should come before a prescription pad.And Alessandra shares why, despite being told speaking openly about her diagnosis would cost her her career, she refused to stay quiet. We talk about:• 00:00 Misdiagnosed with bipolar her whole life• 03:06 The myth that bipolar equals creativity• 04:30 Hiding a bipolar diagnosis in Hollywood• 06:32 Early childhood anxiety and perfectionism at age 5• 08:00 Why bipolar disorder takes 10–12 years to diagnose• 15:39 Antidepressant-induced mania and suicidal ideation• 17:24 Identifying bipolar I disorder in adulthood• 19:42 Managing bipolar without medication during pregnancy• 34:26 Tracking symptoms before starting psychiatric medication• 38:42 Stem cell therapy reduces alcohol cravings in studies• 40:46 GLP-1s and NAD IV therapy for addiction recovery• 43:52 NAMI resources for postpartum depression and anxiety
