By leaving plenty of room for X quantities.” John Cage'Helpful Hints: Always be around, come or go to everything, always go to classes, read anything you can get your hands on. Look at movies carefully often. Save everything - it might come in handy later. . .I'm so so so happy that you've joined me on this journey. Making this series of podcasts was exceptionally fun. Comparing the two processes to feminine, masculine principles (energies that exist in us as whole individuals). This is one of the rules I return to often. This episode also features another favourite line of mine: ‘Kill Your Darlings' and looks at the importance of intention behind the analysing/editing part of making thigns. In this series I circumambulate (walk around/talk around) the magic of Creativity using the template of 10 Rules that were written by a fascinating woman called Sister Corita Kent. In each episode I interpret and elaborate on one or two of these rules according to my own life experience.Hopefully this accumulation of thoughts expressed gives the listener some inspiration & foundational knowledge on how to Cultivate a Creative Life. For more info on Sister Corita Kent & how to help save her old art studio & legacy: https://www.corita.org/

This means finding someone wise or smart & choosing to follow them. To be disciplined is to follow in a good way. To be self disciplined is to follow in a better way.'I choose to go a little off-piste / off-road / off-topic (?) with this one; I interpret this rule in my own way as, in truth, I don't know what Sister Corita Kent intended to mean in this circumstance. Again I talk a lot about my rudimentary learnings in the world of Buddhism, mainly stemming from the time I spent in a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. I talk about how very important it is to have an inner compass that guides you and has a stronger magnetic pull than any external force…In this series I circumambulate (walk around/talk around) the magic of Creativity using the template of 10 Rules that were written by a fascinating woman called Sister Corita Kent.

This episode of Rachel Sermanni’s Finger that Points to the Moon is the recorded practice of a visualisation meditation meant to aid any open-minded listener to having a little bit extra of compassion and generosity for the near and dear who, so often, bear the brunt of our other, less gracious qualities. Better to be late and authentic than on time and untrue. It took me a while to get to recording this podcast and practice because I had to get there myself first. I needed to feel the concept as a truth and a possibility inside me before trying to lead anyone else to such a place. So, finally. Here is EP.3. All about finding ways to ground your beautiful self and have some love for your neighbours and co-inhabitants.https://www.rachelsermanni.com

There is a famous Buddhist analogy about The Finger that Points to the Moon. It means that the Value is in what is being pointed at and not in the thing showing the way. To focus on the finger that points to the truth would mean you miss seeing Truth itself, for yourself.  In this podcast Rachel Sermanni will explore her relationship to creativity and inspiration, with the hope that it will help point in the direction of truth for herself and those listening. In her own words "I hope this podcast can ignite and spark curiosity in others whilst satisfying my own desire to integrate creativity with general-living-life"Here you can delve into streams of thought, narrative, dialogue & creative-workshop all rooted and growing from Rachel's own curious spirit and experience. www.rachelsermanni.com
