On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, the 2020 U.S. Census contained significant errors, overcounting populations in blue states, while undercounting in red states leading to misallocated congressional seats that favored Democrats and cost Republicans about five seats. This widened Trump's Electoral College victory margin and tightened House control more than warranted. In response, Texas Republicans are holding a special legislative session to redraw congressional districts, potentially gaining up to five more GOP seats in the 2026 midterms. The move echoes a 2003 gerrymander, with Democrats decrying it as hypocritical given their own history of similar tactics in blue states, but it's necessary since Democrats don't play fair. Also, a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine would carve up Israel's indigenous lands and holy sites to create a terrorist state aimed at destroying Israel. Arab nations reject Palestinians while forcing concessions on Israel. Imagine what would have happened if President Trump wasn't President – the destruction of Israel by terrorists, Marxists, European quislings, the UN, and anti-Semitic elements worldwide, including in the Democrat Party, media, academia, podcasters, influencers, and isolationists. Later, death penalty practices in red states are superior to those in blue states, as the executions of these monstrous criminals are warranted. Afterward, On Power explains that history is filled with tyrants seizing power under the guise of liberty, such as in Marxist regimes where promises of liberation through class warfare and collectivism lead to genocidal police states. Abraham Lincoln highlighted how "liberty" means different things to different people—individual freedom for some, exploitation of others for the rest—resulting in incompatible concepts labeled as liberty and tyranny. Similarly, "democracy," loosely defined as non-autocratic government, is misused by the power-hungry to deceive, as George Orwell noted in Politics and the English Language, where political words are perverted dishonestly, and regimes claim to be democratic for praise while fearing a fixed definition. Finally, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin calls in to announce a proposal to rescind the 2009 Obama-era Endangerment Finding. This finding declared that greenhouse gas emissions pose a danger to public health and welfare, enabling extensive regulations such as the Clean Power Plan and costing over $1 trillion in compliance. The proposed rescission aims to eliminate burdensome rules, saving small businesses at least $170 billion and reducing regulatory overreach on emissions standards for vehicles and power plants. On today's episode, Dr. Mark Costes is joined by Brian Mills, founder of Rome Commercial Real Estate, for a no-fluff, boots-on-the-ground conversation about one of the most overlooked but mission-critical elements of dental startups and practice growth: real estate. With over 25 years in the dental industry, Brian has seen the good, the bad, and the financially disastrous when it comes to lease agreements, landlord negotiations, and practice capacity planning. They discuss the biggest mistakes dentists make when negotiating leases (or skipping representation altogether), how to future-proof your space for growth and resale, and the right questions to ask any real estate firm before hiring them. Brian also breaks down how his firm gets paid, why his loyalty lies with the doctor—not the landlord—and why building the right team of aligned professionals can make or break a startup. If you're thinking about a new lease, relocation, or buying your own building, this is required listening. Be sure to check out the full episode from the Dentalpreneur Podcast! Flying airplanes is serious business. Mistakes are costly, not just because of the cost of the aircraft; if you're flying people, their lives are on the line. Jesse knows this better than most, having two brothers who are pilots. One day he overheard them talking shop and narrowed in on a common occurence they had teaching student pilots to fly -- these pilots were afriad of "hooking," that is, making a mistake on a flight and having to redo the assignment. Jesse realized that everyone, including people who work high stress, high stakes jobs, learns through making mistakes. He quotes his favorite definition of intelligence, which "error correction." We learn by making mistakes then fixing them. And this must happen even for the most critical jobs like flying airplanes. The same applies to money. Can you afford to make mistakes? Of course! You will mistakes, it's all about how you error correct after the fact. That's what the Five Questions help you do. They help you clarify what you want your money to do for you, and when you make a mistake with money, they help you correct your path and get you back on track. I got leadership wrong in 2024. That’s how I started a newsletter earlier this year that scared the hell out of me to publish. In this episode, I share what happened - and the high cost of indecision, fear, and people-pleasing. Today, I’m turning the mic on myself. I’m joined by psychologist and friend Sabina Read to unpack the personal and professional fallout of the hardest year I’ve had as a leader. From delaying redundancies to clinging to hope, to letting fear and likability steer my decisions - I share the choices I regret, what I learned from them, and how I’m showing up differently in 2025. Sabina and I discuss: Why I refused to consider redundancies (and what it cost) How fear, not strategy, drove my biggest decisions The freeze response I didn’t realise I was stuck in What my therapist told me that sent me into a spiral How psychological safety broke down on my team - and what we do now to protect it The cultural check-in we do every 6–8 weeks to catch small issues before they explode Why listening deeply matters more than making the “right” decision How I started letting go of the need to be liked Key Quotes “Hope is not a strategy. But that’s what I was relying on.” “I had a very high need to be liked—and that was making me a really bad manager.” “You can’t rest on your laurels with culture. It takes conscious work.” Connect with Sabina via her website, Instagram, or check out her podcast Human Cogs. My latest book The Health Habit is out now. In this power-packed episode, I reconnect with Merry Korn, a returning Govcon Giant who built and sold Pearl Interactive Network Inc., a 100% government contracting company with 1,300 employees in 31 states. Merry shares the raw truth about what it takes to exit your business the right way—from building a company with social impact (prioritizing hires like disabled vets and HUBZone residents) to preparing for sale from day one. Her message is simple: always think of the endgame—even 10 years out. We break down the real-world strategy behind government contracting M&A, how to get your business valuation-ready, why most founders make catastrophic mistakes by waiting too long, and why being a sub doesn't mean you can't cash out. We also talk phantom shares, building a powerhouse team, and what makes a company truly sellable. Merry's wisdom is real, actionable, and will absolutely shift your perspective on business ownership in the federal space. Avoid these 4 big zinc supplement mistakes!1. Taking too much zincZinc and copper work together and compete for absorption. Always take copper with zinc to avoid a copper deficiency. Some parts of the immune system benefit from high doses of zinc, while others thrive with just the right amount of zinc. Taking 100 to 200 mg of zinc for 3 days is beneficial if you have an inflammatory infection, but high doses of zinc for extended periods can also be damaging. Know when to take zinc and avoid high doses for long periods. 2. No cofactors taken with zincCofactors are vitamins and minerals that work together to allow our biochemistry to work. For zinc to function properly in the body, you need adequate magnesium, vitamin B6, and folate. 3. Not knowing when you're deficientWhite nail spots can sometimes indicate a zinc deficiency, but how can you know for sure if you're deficient? Try the zinc test! Take a small amount of zinc in your mouth and swish it around. If you can taste the metallic taste, you are not deficient. If you can't taste anything, you need more zinc. 4. Taking too little zinc Taking too little zinc is just as bad as taking too much! Carbohydrates contain phytic acid, which blocks zinc. This is why zinc deficiency is so common in children. Diarrhea can deplete zinc and other minerals, and low stomach acid can inhibit mineral absorption. Alcohol, pregnancy, and high estrogen from birth control pills can also increase your demand for zinc. Red meat, shellfish, liver, and oysters are the best sources of zinc. If you opt for supplements, you must take at least 30 mg of zinc daily for a therapeutic effect. Zinc works best when taken with food, but it still works on an empty stomach.
