Die Schlichtungsstelle teilte mit, dass mehr als 21.000 Beschwerden eingereicht wurden, ein Plus von 19,5 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Für den meisten Ärger sorgten Kfz- und Rechtsschutzversicherungen. Der unabhängige Geldratgeber Finanztip erklärt Verbrauchern, wie sie den größten Ärger von vornherein vermeiden können. Laut Bericht beklagen sich Versicherte zunehmend über eine verzögerte Leistungsbearbeitung. Außerdem nimmt die Zahl der Beschwerden zu, die mit einer ausbleibenden oder stark gestörten Kommunikation begründet werden. „Die Beschwerden zeigen deutlich, wo es in der Praxis hakt: Verbraucher bleiben im Unklaren und müssen mühsam bei ihrem Versicherer nachfragen”, so Finanztip.  Dabei ist die Vorgabe für die Bearbeitungsdauer klar: Die Finanzaufsicht BaFin erwartet, dass Versicherer bei durchschnittlich gelagerten Versicherungsfällen Leistungsanträge innerhalb eines Monats abschließend bearbeiten müssen. Reagiert der Versicherer nicht fristgerecht, können Betroffene ein kostenfreies Schlichtungsverfahren bei der Ombudsfrau einleiten. Mehr als 52 Prozent der Schlichtungsanträge führten im Jahr 2024 zu einem Erfolg für die Verbraucher.   Kfz-Versicherung: Verwirrung nach Versicherungswechsel Über Kfz-Versicherungen (Kfz-Haftpflicht- und Kfz-Kaskoversicherung zusammengenommen) beschweren sich Verbraucher besonders häufig bei der Versicherungsombudsfrau: Häufigster Grund für Beschwerden ist die Einstufung in eine vermeintlich falsche Schadenfreiheitsklasse (SF-Klasse) nach einem Versicherungswechsel. „Viele Wechsler wundern sich, weil Sonderregelungen wie Rabattschutz oder SF-Klassen-Retter beim alten Anbieter galten, beim neuen aber nicht übernommen werden“, so Finanztip. Das Problem: Nach einem Wechsel zu einem neuen Versicherer rechnet der oftmals wieder mit der SF-Klasse, in die der Autofahrer ohne Rabattschutz eingestuft wird.
