If you ever find yourself face-to-face with an alligator, there's a surprising two-finger trick that could save your life. Alligators have super strong jaws for biting down, but the muscles to open their mouths are much weaker. If an alligator grabs you, try to stay calm (as hard as that sounds!) and aim for their eyes or the sensitive tip of their snout. Using two fingers, poke their eyes as hard as you can—this often makes them let go and retreat. Another option is to jab your fingers into their nostrils or ears; these spots are super sensitive and can make them release you.
