On the latest edition of Ravencast, Mike Holt talks to Director of Football Paul Jones and team coach, Andy Gosnell about the two latest media announcements released by the club. i) The clubs partnerships with ISSPF who are on one of the world's leading online football course providers. Andy and Paul talk about why these courses are vital in an age where more and more coach tutoring is happening on line. Paul tells us why FC Isle of Man's coaches will be utilising this course content and Andy discusses which materials are of particular interest to him. In addition the lads talk about why the club is making some course content available to our members and how prospective delegates may be abler to interact with the club to assist their own coaching education.ii) In the second part of the podcast Paul and Andy discuss the announcement that the Skipton Cup will now be a regular pre-season competition for the foreseeable future and why that is vital to the club commercially and from a sporting perspective. We hope you enjoy.
Welcome to Episode 2 of the Ravencast podcast. Media team. Yet again, we're honoured to have Mike Holt available to host the latest programme. Mike is going great guns with his own podcast series 'Going the Match' at the moment so we're really happy and fortunate to have him aboard to anchor our own series. We thought that with Christmas almost upon us it would be a good idea to look back on the year past. Now in the last six months we've heard lots from those on the organisational and hierarchical side of the club, but for this discussion we wanted the emphasis to be on the actual football side of things. So we asked Assistant Manager Lee Dixon, team Captain Frank Jones and the playing squads youngest member and headband wearer extraordinaire Adam Cooil to talk a little about their football careers and their initial experiences of FC isle of Man, especially those first two games against Guernsey FC during the summer. Listen up as Lee discusses his experiences from the pro game and how he transitioned to coaching, while Frank talks about how he was a relatively late comer to football, and Adam describes his emotions as he was thrust into the limelight on that memorable occasion of our inaugural game at the Bowl. We hope you enjoy it. Thanks again for listening, and all that remains is for everyone here at FC Isle of Man to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Have a good one.
