Terri was just 26 years old when she collapsed and ended up in a persistent vegetative state. And that was just the beginning of the story. Pretty much over night... her husband and parents went to war over her life support—trying to decide who had the right to decide if she stayed alive, and what Terri would have really wanted. Then the fight went global. Politicians, religious groups, and even the Pope jumped in on the conversation, turning this private tragedy into worldwide headlines.
