Coruna iOS Exploit Kit Goes Mass-Market, FBI Wiretap Platform Breach Probe, Windows Terminal ClickFix, and Iran-War Cyber Escalation This episode covers several major cybersecurity developments: Google's Threat Intelligence Group details Coruna, a sophisticated iOS exploit kit with 23 exploits and multiple chains affecting iOS 13–17.2.1, shifting from targeted surveillance use to cryptocurrency-scam distribution and a PlasmaLoader payload aimed at stealing wallet data. The FBI is investigating suspicious activity involving its Digital Collection System Network used to support wiretaps and surveillance, with concerns about third-party vendor exposure and broader federal agency targeting. Microsoft reports a new ClickFix variation that abuses Windows Terminal to deploy the Luma Stealer via encoded commands, persistence, Defender exclusions, and browser injection. The show also reviews Iran-linked cyber activity by MuddyWater and others amid regional conflict, including new backdoors and cloud-based exfiltration, and reports that Iranian drone strikes hit AWS data centers in the UAE and Bahrain, causing outages and highlighting data centers as battlefield targets. Helen explains how her first desert rally idea began with Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles in 2019, how she and Marcella—friends for over 21 years—became teammates, and why in-car chemistry matters under stress. They describe building their Dakar vehicle “Purdy” from the ground up after an outside build effort failed, using a pre-inspection for peace of mind before shipping the car, and arriving surprised to see big teams still wrenching in the bivouac. They share standout moments, including meeting top competitors, encouragement from Saudi spectators, and a last-day crisis where hitting a rock caused two flats and required help from another team. Why do your friends and parents still get breach notification letters from companies they've never heard of?John Watters aka “The Cowboy” joins the show this week for a hard look at information security. In the early 2000s, he built iDefense from a bankruptcy buyout into one of the most influential threat intelligence companies in the world, pioneered responsible disclosure before the term even existed, and has watched the attack surface evolve from nation-state espionage into something that hits your credit card at a restaurant on a Tuesday. His answer to the breach question? The industry's been losing the clock. Attackers can move from target selection to exploitation in days. Defenders are still operating in weeks. And the gap isn't closing, not by a long shot. If anything, it's widening. This conversation goes from the living rooms of people who've stopped trusting cybersecurity to the boardrooms of Fortune 500 CISOs who still can't explain their third-party risk exposure in plain English. We talk time compression, threat intelligence architecture, the AI arms race that only one side seems to be taking seriously, and the uncomfortable truth about analysis paralysis in a field where the cost of inaction is terminal.John's closing advice to defenders: automate yourself out of a job before someone else does it for you. That one's worth the price of admission alone.Mentioned:This is How They Tell Me the World Ends, by Nicole PerlrothCISO Mike Melo's post on security theater

Today's guest has spent thirty years on the front lines of one of the defining battles at the intersection of technology and democracy: privacy and the fight for who controls your digital life. Cindy Cohn is the executive director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and she has been in the room for some of the most consequential fights over digital rights since the internet became part of everyday life—from fighting for encryption in the 90s, to the NSA mass surveillance revelations, to battling FBI gag orders that kept Americans in the dark about government data requests, and now for the fight against the grave civil rights and privacy abuses of the Trump administration. Now, as she's preparing to step down from her role at EFF, she's telling her story, and trying to recruit a new generation to the fight. Her new book, Privacy's Defender, out March 10 from MIT Press, weaves her personal journey with the legal battles she's fought on behalf of whistleblowers, researchers, innovators, and everyday people.

Home EV charging costs are shielded for now by the energy price cap — fixed at 24.67p per kWh for electricity until end of June — but wholesale price rises could push the cap higher from July, making both home wallbox and public charging more expensive.EUROPEAN FLEETS COULD SAVE €246BN BY 2030A new EY and Eurelectric report finds that fully electrifying Europe's corporate fleets could deliver up to €246 billion in cumulative savings and cut one billion tonnes of CO2 by 2030. However, the authors warn that cheaper running costs alone will not drive mass uptake, calling for coordinated action from manufacturers, policymakers, grid operators and finance providers to tackle high upfront costs, uncertain residual values, and charging infrastructure delays.CUPRA BORN FACELIFT BRINGS SHARP NOSE, SMALL TWEAKSCupra has facelifted the Born with a "shark nose" front end, triangular matrix LED headlights, a continuous rear light strip, and new 235 mm tyres across all five wheel options, while the aerodynamically improved 79 kWh variants now claim around 600 km (373 miles) of WLTP range. A new entry "Born Plus" trim pairs a 58 kWh battery with a 140 kW motor — figures that match Ford's Capri LFP option and strongly suggest a switch to LFP cells from the updated MEB+ platform — though Cupra has not confirmed drivetrain details and appears to be saving that announcement for a related reveal, likely the VW ID.3 facelift later in 2026.FORD EV SALES SINK 71% AFTER LIGHTNING EXITFord's US EV sales collapsed 71% in February 2026 to just 2,122 units, the steepest monthly drop in its EV history, driven by the discontinuation of the F-150 Lightning and the expiry of the federal EV tax credit. Ford's Model e division lost $4.8 billion in 2025 and is forecast to lose another $4–5 billion in 2026, with profitability not expected until 2029; the company has already booked a $19.5 billion writedown and is pivoting to a new ~$30,000 midsize electric pickup it hopes will revive the business by 2027.LUCID PATCHES GRAVITY SOFTWARE AGAINLucid Motors has pushed software update 3.4.4 to the Gravity SUV, targeting AC charging improvements and Drive Assist availability, following a January update that resolved around 95% of earlier software issues — with the car averaging a new update every 24 days since launch. Lucid has closed its online configurator for both the Air and Gravity while it prepares its 2027 model year announcement, and Air owners face a $950 hardware upgrade bill to access the newer UX 3.0 platform already running in the Gravity, due to arrive by autumn 2026.MITSUBISHI READIES LEAF-BASED EV FOR CANADAMitsubishi is preparing its first all-new model since the Eclipse Cross for Canadian dealerships in 2026, built on Nissan's CMF-EV platform and LEAF architecture, with spy shots showing a heavily camouflaged prototype that shares the LEAF's roofline, proportions, and rear hatch panel. Both models will be built side by side at Nissan's Kaminokawa plant in Japan, and Mitsubishi may receive the smaller battery pack to undercut the LEAF on entry price — a strategy that would see Nissan supply the foundations while a cheaper sibling competes for the same buyers.ALPITRONIC UNVEILS HYC400 SERIES 2 CHARGERAlpitronic has launched the HYC400 Series 2, retaining the 400 kW maximum output of its predecessor while upgrading to a 22-inch touchscreen (up from 15.6 inches), second-generation silicon carbide power stacks, and a higher continuous output current of 600 A (up from 500 A). The unit maintains 97.5% charging efficiency but standby power consumption rises significantly from 43 W to under 100 W, and cable options narrow to a single 5-metre length; Alpitronic will sell both generations simultaneously to suit different site requirements.APTERA SHOWS FIRST VALIDATION-LINE VEHICLE PHOTOAptera Motors has published the first photo of a vehicle off its validation assembly line, marking a milestone for its three-wheeled, solar-assisted EV that claims 400 miles of range from a 44 kWh battery and up to 40 miles of daily solar charging, classified as a motorcycle to bypass certain safety regulations. The launch edition price has risen to $40,000 — a $9,300 increase from prior estimates — though a $28,000 model is planned for the future, and with nearly 50,000 pre-orders and a stated daily capacity of 80–100 vehicles, Aptera claims it could fulfil all orders within 500 days of full production, though the end-of-year delivery timeline remains uncertain.GEELY TARGETS DEFENDER WITH GALAXY BATTLESHIPGeely plans to launch the Galaxy Battleship in the UK in 2028, a blocky hybrid 4x4 aimed squarely at the Land Rover Defender and Toyota Land Cruiser, with a production design expected to stay 90–95% true to the Galaxy Cruiser concept shown at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show. Built on the GEA Evo platform with steer- and brake-by-wire, it may use an AI-driven plug-in hybrid system with a stated output of around 858 bhp, and Geely is promising an interior that surpasses the Defender's for luxury — a bold claim for the Chinese brand's first foray into the 4x4 segment.EU UNVEILS LOCAL-CONTENT RULES FOR CLEAN TECHThe European Commission has unveiled the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA), tying over €2 trillion in public procurement and subsidies to low-carbon and "Made-in-EU" conditions across sectors including EVs, steel, cement, and wind turbines, with the goal of raising manufacturing's share of EU economic output from 14% to 20% by 2035. China is excluded from the initial trusted-partner list — which includes the UK, Canada, and the US — and foreign investments above €100 million from countries controlling 40%+ of global production would face strict conditions including capped 49% foreign ownership and mandatory technology transfer; BMW and Mercedes oppose the Act over fears of higher costs, while Renault backs it and the text must still clear the European Parliament before becoming law.

For 25 years, the Cascio family was Michael Jackson's shield. They testified at his 2005 trial. Frank Cascio wrote a book defending him. They went on national television saying Jackson never harmed anyone. Now all five Cascio siblings are suing, alleging Jackson drugged, raped, and sexually trafficked them since childhood. The estate says it's a $200 million extortion scheme.Former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Hidden Killers to break down the most complicated credibility question in recent entertainment law: what happens when your most loyal defenders become your accusers—after decades of sworn statements saying nothing happened? The legal terrain is brutal. The Cascios already signed a settlement in 2019—reportedly $690,000 per sibling per year for five years—with confidentiality, non-disparagement, and arbitration clauses. They collected on it. Now they want it voided, claiming duress and lack of proper legal counsel.A hearing determines whether this goes to public court or private arbitration. The estate wants it sealed. The Cascio attorneys say arbitration is being weaponized to silence abuse victims.Eric Faddis breaks down what it takes to void a settlement you've already cashed, how 25 years of defense testimony affects credibility, what the federal sex trafficking statute actually requires, and whether alleged threats to "expand the circle of knowledge" right before a $600 million Sony deal constitutes extortion—or just aggressive negotiation. The Cascios claim they were "deprogrammed" by watching Leaving Neverland in 2019. The estate says the timing proves opportunism.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at PrayingChristianWomen.com/journal today! How do you defend yourself when the people you trusted most become the very ones seeking your downfall? Where do you turn when you need more than just a temporary helper, but a true advocate to stand beside you in the courtroom of life? In this devotional on Psalm 54, we walk through David's desperate prayer for defense—a Maskil written after being completely sold out by his own kindred, the Ziphites. We shift our focus from the sting of betrayal to the profound, ancient legal language of God as the "sustainer of our souls." We explore what it means for the Almighty to step into the role of our legal Defender, uncovering the beautiful thread that connects David's protector to Jesus's promise of the Holy Spirit. We move past surface-level comforts to the deeper truth: that God didn't just send an angel to assist you; He sent the Paraclete—another of the exact same kind—to live within you and plead your case before the Father. Join host Jaime Hampton on the Praying Christian Women podcast for a session of spiritual recalibration. If you are feeling accused, overwhelmed by opposition, or simply need a reminder of who is standing at your right hand, this episode offers a powerful shift in perspective. A 529 can be a game-changer for paying for education, but only if you use it the right way. In this episode, Regina breaks down 10 expenses that typically qualify for tax-free 529 withdrawals, so you can avoid surprise taxes and penalties when the college bills start hitting. She covers the obvious stuff like tuition, but also the categories that trip people up most, like room and board for off-campus living, groceries, academic fees, and technology. Regina also gets into newer, often-missed uses for 529 funds, including trade programs, K–12 tuition, student loan repayment, and the rules around rolling leftover 529 money into a Roth IRA. Mini podcast about this day in history, 2 March 2016, when Honduran Indigenous environmental activist Berta Cáceres was assassinated in her home. Of Lenca descent, she co-founded the Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras (COPINH), and was a leading participant in defending Lenca land from illegal logging and US military bases. She was also an advocate for LGBT+ and women's rights, and believed that: “Mother Earth – militarized, fenced-in, poisoned, a place where basic rights are systematically violated – demands that we take action.” At the time of her murder, Cáceres was heavily in Indigenous protests against hydroelectric dams being constructed by energy company DESA alongside Chinese firm Sinohydro and the World Bank. Several members of COPINH were killed by the Honduran military and company security during protests, which eventually forced Sinohydro and the World Bank to withdraw from the project. Cáceres was eventually shot dead in her home. A Mexican environmentalist, Gustavo Castro Soto, was also shot twice but survived. Nine men were later arrested and charged for the murder. They included the executive president of DESA, who was also a former military intelligence officer, as well as three other current or retired military officers, two of whom had been trained by the US military at the notorious School of the Americas. Eight were subsequently convicted and jailed, including the DESA president.Learn more about Cáceres' life and murder in this book: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/products/who-killed-berta-caceres-nina-lakhaniOur work is only possible because of support from you, our listeners on patreon. Epstein revelations continue. New files reveal that the notorious sex offender had closer relationships than previously known with Trump's inner circle, including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Ghislaine Maxwell pleads the Fifth to Congress, while her lawyer says she's “prepared to speak fully and honestly” if Trump agrees to let her out of prison. While Jon, Tommy, and Lovett are overseas, Alex Wagner and Ben Rhodes discuss how the files are rattling politicians around the world, and why consequences have been more severe abroad than in the U.S. There's also the fight to put limits on ICE playing out in the courts and Congress, Trump's scheme to celebrate America's 250th birthday with a fresh grift, and why RFK Jr. can't be trusted with the Super Bowl snacks.
