Inside the DC beltway, the Epstein Class is in a panic as Americans wake up to Israeli control over the US government and its war with Iran, while just outside the beltway, public school perverts are running cover for illegal invaders who rape American kids.
"Muzyka" means "music," and in this micro-lesson you'll say it like you're front row at a Warsaw concert. First you hear the word at native speed, then slowed down so you can nail the soft "zy" and the flowing "ka." We drop it into three earworm-ready sentences: – "Kocham muzykę." (I love music.) – "To moja playlista." (This is my playlist.) – "Gram na gitarze." (I play guitar.) Repeat-along track included—perfect while you queue Spotify or tune your instrument. Challenge: Tell us in the comments what music YOU like and if you play any instruments—reply in Polish for bonus points. Today, we undertook a fairly waffly meandering examination the stewardship of the club under its present ownership: a project long on grand declarations but, increasingly, short on coherence. The spotlight fell, perhaps inevitably, on the sporting directors, those entrusted with shaping the club's future, yet whose decisions have begun to resemble a catalogue of expensive miscalculations. This, in turn, has manifested on the pitch, where Chelsea's limp showings against both PSG and Newcastle suggested a team not merely outplayed, but uncertain of its own identity. We then turned to the rumoured overtures from Real Madrid for Enzo Fernández, a reminder that when the most decorated club in European football comes calling, resistance often proves theoretical rather than practical. If a player wishes to depart for Madrid, one is left with little more than resignation and the faint hope that succession planning exists somewhere behind the scenes.Looking ahead, we previewed the forthcoming encounter with Everton, a fixture that, in more stable times, might invite confidence, but now provokes something closer to unease. Optimism, it seems, must be earned, and Chelsea have lately been poor creditors. Finally, we addressed a more parochial but no less important matter: the tone of discourse within our own community. A handful of rather ungenerous contributions on the Substack live chat prompted a reminder that disagreement need not descend into hostility. This is a wonderful space away from traditional social media, healthy debate is the aim please guys. Have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend! This is a public episode. This episode is about a moment that never really goes away.Looking back at the 2012 CrossFit Games, there's one event that still stands out—not because of the result, but because of the effort. It wasn't about losing. It was about knowing there was more to give… and not giving it.That feeling sticks. This conversation is about why those moments matter, and how they shape the standard moving forward. Doing the extra rep. Pushing when it would be easier not to. Choosing effort when no one else would know the difference. You won't remember every win.But you'll remember where you held back. The goal is simple: leave no doubt. Thanks for tuning in to the Jason Khalipa Podcast!

In this episode, Kerry Lutz sits down with retirement expert Joe Schmitz, who introduces his niche client segment he calls the "2% Club", and reveals the hidden rules his top clients follow — retirees who have both a pension and $1 million or more in savings. The name reflects the intersection of fewer than 20% of retirees holding pensions and fewer than 10% reaching millionaire status. Typical members include retired military, federal and state employees, police officers, and firefighters. Schmitz explores the unique planning challenges this cohort faces, from pressures on public pension systems due to increased life expectancy to concerns about pension solvency. He highlights practical strategies such as electing lump-sum pension payouts when available and tax-aware planning. He also provides insights into the mindset of his clients, describing them as diligent, frugal savers often hesitant to increase spending, and points listeners to additional resources including PeakRetirementPlanning.com, his book Midwestern Millionaire, and other related tax-planning tools. This discussion offers valuable guidance for high-net-worth retirees and those approaching retirement who want to protect their savings and make informed decisions in a changing financial landscape. Sometimes, because of the current political pushback, one can get the false impression that the academic attention that has recently been paid to increasing a university's diversity, equity and inclusion profile is a new phenomenon—one that developed after the civil rights gains of minorities and women in the 1950s-70s. But the idea that people with different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints would produce better work by engaging with each other was a core principle of the first modern research university—which was founded in Germany in 1810. The health sciences are especially dependent on accurate data, and imaginative but reasoned analysis of that data, and both the accuracy of the data and the usefulness of its analysis are put at risk by pretending that diversity, equity and inclusion are harming universities, including medical research universities, rather than helping them. The known inaccuracies caused by a historical research emphasis on male health, and inappropriate applications of those conclusions to female health due to the lack of research data on women, are examples of the risks involved. Join us to hear Dr. Robert Hiatt, whose central focus at UCSF has been on building a strong transdisciplinary research and training program in epidemiology, make the case for how scientifically harmful deemphasizing diversity could be, and how the emergence of Big Data will be derailed quickly if the data that it uses has been corrupted by political whims distorting its scientific objectivity. Bill Maher welcomes Jerry O'Connell to Club Random with Bill Maher for a conversation that jumps from childhood fame to life in Calabasas. Jerry reflects on the unlikely moment that set his career in motion—when director Rob Reiner told the shy kid from Stand by Me to stop holding back and lean into who he was. That advice, he says, changed everything. From there, the two get into Jerry's marriage to Rebecca Romijn, the surreal experience of being married to someone once married to John Stamos, and the chaos of raising teenagers in Calabasas. Along the way they cover Kourtney Kardashian's parking etiquette, the Dean Martin school of zero rehearsal, and why ayahuasca is a hard no for both of them. Imagine replacing an entire rental property portfolio with just one “small” commercial asset. You can either manage 80+ rental units or just one building, with a fraction of the tenants, turnover, and headaches. Saul Zenkevicius did just that. He netted $250,000/year in cash flow from one small bay industrial real estate deal which quickly replaced the entire cash flow from a rental property portfolio he'd built over the years. These small bay properties still have strong demand in most markets, with limited supply, and durable cash flow potential that institutional investors are finally starting to recognize. Saul made the leap and is now investing heavily in the small bay sector. He shares his exact buy box, the demographic signs of a strong market, and the biggest mistakes beginners can make in small bay warehouses. Saul's contrarian thinking doesn't stop at small bay. We get his profitable take on why malls may be the most underrated investing play around. He's got real numbers to back it up—malls aren't dead; instead, they can be converted into cash flow machines. Insights from today's episode: How Saul replaced an 86-unit rental portfolio with just one small bay investment Still undersupplied? Why small bay may see strong demand for decades to come Saul's point-by-point buy box of what to look for when buying a small bay warehouse Mall conversions: Saul's contrarian investment strategy that's seeing huge payoffs The market conditions that destroy small bay cash flow—and Saul's exact process for avoiding them — Connect with Saul on LinkedIn Sign Up for Saul's Newsletter Recommended Resources: Accredited Investors, you're invited to Join the Cashflow Investor Club to learn how you can partner with Kevin Bupp on current and upcoming opportunities to create passive cash flow and build wealth.
