Silent since '09, the Reservoir Geeks Podcast is back and just the same as ever. Two funny, creative guys talking about everything and nothing at the same time. People who have never heard any other podcast rate it among their favorite podcasts.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues Dr. Daniel Zamora joins us again as we ask the questions fans submitted through social media and messenger. Danny (as his friends call him) is an infectious diseases fellow at University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Seattle was the first place in the US to have an outbreak of COVID-19 and Dr. Zamora was, and still is, on the front line. Hopefully some of your questions will be answered and if not, leave a comment and we will do a follow-up to ask him some more.
There is a lot of new and information out there about COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS but everyone still has questions. We keep with out schedule uploads of one ever six months and then random spurts of episodes. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? Chris, Doug and Andy are back at it with random musings about TV, Movies, Videogames, ideas for shorts and puppies at one point. ENJOY! This and all episodes of Reservoir Geeks are available on iTunes, Google Podcasts and wherever else you get your podcast fix from. Check out all our other podcasts on the Reservoir Geeks Tape Deck!
The boys discuss the new year, how they rang out the old one and what’s in store for the rest of 2019. Besides the usual blather, they discuss trips (or lack there of for Andy), stuff they’ve eaten lately, technology, the future as represented on film and much, much more. NOTE: At some point the sound gets a little wonky but Andy sounds great the whole time. You decide if that’s a good thing or bad thing.
Chris, Andy and Doug get together in the NEW Reservoir Geeks studio to lay down some Christmas goodness. They talk all about their favorite Christmas movies, TV show and commercials and also reminisce about their best Christmas memories. As usual, it wouldn’t be a Reservoir Geeks episode if they didn’t go off topic a few times and these references are HYPER-local but still HYPER-relatable. ENJOY! MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The boys sit down for a very special round of Trailer Trash and try out a couple of new trivia games. Recorded at The Bottle Rocket Motel in Hillsboro TX.
Sure the Avengers and Justice League are great but what about all the unsung super heroes who are out there working just as hard? In the build up to Infinity War a few of the Reservoir Geeks gathered to draft their very own super group. All super. All unaffiliated. And we call them THE REVENGERS! CONTRIBUTORS: Chris Durbin/Andy Carl Valentin Doug Bashore/Joshua Mazur/Matt Reuber
Chris and Andy discuss "kids these days", the problem with the X-Men movies, music they're currently enjoying, stuff they're watching, and much more. It's your basic Reservoir Geeks goodness.
Andy obsesses about Degrassi Junior High and High then things only get manlier when the boys taste test a new Diet Coke flavor marketed toward women. They also discuss current TV shows they're watching, movies they're looking forward to seeing, Reservoir Geeks website news and some other stuff. Degrassi.
Before we get into it, we wanted to thank you for your patients and for sticking with us. We discuss the reason(s) for the much needed break and discuss how life has changed for one of us since last year. It wouldn't be Reservoir Geeks without us talking about movie, shows and games we are currently into. We hope you enjoy this badassary and look forward to us getting back into it!
Christmas is less than a week away and we sat down to chat about the season but then got off track perusing IMDb. That's how we roll. From TV to movies to the hyper local discussion about the lay out of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, it's all here. We also discuss gift, family, the fear of flying in different contraptions and much, much more. Oh yeah, also CLAUDIA! Enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!
In this episode we talk about our dreams, TV shows and movies we are currently watching, personal goings on including the speculative genetic feature of baby McLurbin, rounding the bases in love and so much more. Near the end we also get into exciting new shows we are working on for the Tape Deck! Enjoy!
With this year's Lovely Soiree in the rear-view mirror we are back in the "booth" for more awesomeness. As always we just bullshit through movie and TV talk but there is some exciting news for one half of the Reservoir Geeks... well both halves but way more life changing for Chris. Oh yeah, we also talk a little about this election debacle that's happening to us. There is some heavy spoiler stuff for HBO's Vice Principals from 24:00 through 27:30 so skip through if you have yet to finish the first season. ALSO, the episode abruptly ends because of a card issue. Gerard Butler is so awesome the card couldn't take it... You'll see.
*Insert some bullshit excuse about why it's been so long* Seriously though, it has been a hot minute (as the kids say) since the boys laid out the magic but here it is. Personally, we think this is one of the bests. With Bottle Rocket coming up and life events settling down, the consistency shall return. We promise. We hope you enjoy this worthwhile episode of Reservoir Geeks!
Well, it's been over a month and we are sorry. We were straightening away a few final details for the 2016 Lovely Soiree at the Bottle Rocket Motel for September 16th and time got away from us. This one is worth it though. The boys talk about time travel, movies, chick flicks and a chick flick time travel movie... Then Andy gets teary-eyed. Also they delve into the mysterious history of Chris's employer and get nowhere. VISIT www.reservoir-geeks.com FOR FULL DETAILS ON THIS YEAR'S EVENT!
Both the boys are "live" this week to talk about what they've been up to since the last time they sat down and didn't pitch a movie. PLUS very early details on a NEW event possible for spring 2017!
Back in 2009 Chris and Andy sat down to have a talk with Louis, Bill and Francis from Left 4 Dead. What followed was hilarious!
Here's another long one for you kiddos. Chris and Andy ended their busy work weeks by recording a podcast and near the end things fall apart in the most enjoyable way possible... -ish. Good talk, good times, good fun!
The guys catch up after a few week apart with the same musings on movies and the goings on in the world you've come to love. Almost the entire last half is dedicated to the development of a $2,000,000 movie idea and it is GLORIOUS!
Just like a clip show from your favorite television series but without the laugh track or terrible story line.
The boys discuss everything from Jim Belushi to the Lovely Soirees of years past.
Back in 2009, Reservoir Geeks was a podcast. Things changed a bit and for seven years the podcast had become but a memory. Well now it's back and better than ever... Okay, it's pretty much the same but they're older now.
