Marvel just delayed Doomsday and Secret Wars by 7 months—but is that the full story? Eric breaks down why this delay feels like the beginning of something bigger, including a compelling theory from Colton Ogburn (ScreenCrush) that suggests we could be getting a third Avengers film—possibly Secret Avengers—before the saga's finale. Is Marvel slow-rolling the real Multiverse shake-up? Is a stronger middle chapter being built before Secret Wars? Let's talk about what's really going on with the Avengers timeline—and what this could mean for the MCU's future.
This week on the Major Issues Podcast, we're diving headfirst into SIEGE – Marvel's all-out, no-holds-barred event where Norman Osborn loses his damn mind and decides it's a good idea to attack Asgard. Yeah, that Asgard. With the Avengers scattered, the Sentry going full horror movie, and every hero caught in the crossfire, this four-issue war changes everything. We're talking betrayal, redemption, brutal takedowns, and the fall of a madman's empire. How did we get here? Who doesn't make it out alive? And why does this event still hit so hard? In episode 243 of Reel Therapy, Daniel and Donavon dive into Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts — exploring where it fits in the broader MCU, how it handles themes of trauma and redemption, and what the film says about mental health in today's culture. They also take a step back to examine Hollywood's responsibility in telling stories about mental health, and how films like Thunderbolts can either help or harm the conversation.A thoughtful breakdown packed with insight, emotion, and a little chaos — just like the Thunderbolts themselves.TABLE OF CONTENTS --00:00:00 - About the Episode00:00:41 - Thunderbolts*00:45:00 - Final Thoughts00:54:31 - Before We GoABOUT THE MOVIE --Thunderbolts brings together a team of morally complex anti-heroes and reformed villains from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, and more. Tasked with carrying out covert missions too messy for the Avengers, the group must confront their own inner demons while learning to trust one another.Directed by Jake Schreier, with a script by Eric Pearson, Thunderbolts explores themes of trauma, redemption, and identity against the backdrop of high-stakes action and espionage. The film continues Marvel's Phase 5 and dives deeper into the gray areas of heroism — where not every mission has a clean ending, and not every hero wears a cape.FIND US --For everything Reel Therapy and 241 Studios, check out our website:LINK: https://www.241studios.com/Follow us on:Instagram: @reeltherapy_podcastFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/reeltherapypod
Bonjour!Today you have Jake flying solo to use you all as proxy therapists for his Peter Pan issues...I mean I am going to discuss the state of the MCU and why things are worse now than ever before. The MCU is moving into irrelevance faster than any could have imagined with well-reviewed shows and movies like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Daredevil Born Again and Thunderbolts all failing to make money or draw eyeballs in meaningful ways. Rumors and leaks from Spider-Man 4, Avengers Doomsday & Secret Wars, and Fantastic Four paint a very dour picture as Feige and his MCUnderlings JUST realized this week that they might have a creative quality issue and not just a production timing/quantity issue. With Andor's strong reception and good hype surrounding Gunn's upcoming Superman film, Marvel and the MCU are in danger of falling from their perch above Nerd fandom and I am beginning to doubt if Feige can do the one thing he needs to in order to get back on track -- make a good movie THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE.Ball don't lie my friends and right now the MCU has zero game.

We are back and talking about Murderbot, the season finale of The Last of Us, and the series finale of the Handmaid‘s Tale, but we're also talking about Trump and his tariffs, the Supreme Court and its collaboration with Trump, and Elon Musk and how he's all sad that people legit just don't like him. All of this, and now we don't even get a season four of the Mandalorian and the new Avengers project is delayed. As if life under Trump couldn't get worse. We're still going on about that. Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes.Last week Disney pushed Avengers: Doomsday from its May 1, 2026 release to December 18, 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars from May 7, 2027 to December 18, 2027. The studio also removed several unannounced Marvel titles from its release calendar: a February 13, 2026 dated release has been removed entirely while November 2026 and 2027 releases have been rebranded from untitled Marvel films, to untitled Disney films.Memorial Day weekend's $326.7 million haul at the domestic box office was enough to earn it the title of the highest grossing Memorial Day weekend ever, with newcomer, Disney's live action Lilo & Stitch remake leading the way with $183 million, overtaking Top Gun: Maverick's $160 million weekend from 2022. Speaking of Tom Cruise, he was no slouch either, with the Mission: Impossible franchise's latest and supposed final installment, The Final Reckoning, earning a franchise high of $77.5 million. While appearing on a recent episode of The Box Office Podcast, Ryan Reynolds revealed he pitched an R-rated Star Wars film to Disney, saying, “I pitched to Disney, I said, ‘Why don't we do an R-rated “Star Wars” property? It doesn't have to be overt, A+ characters. There's a wide range of characters you could use,'” he said. “And I don't mean R-rated to be vulgar. R-rated as a Trojan horse for emotion. I always wonder why studios don't want to just gamble on something like that.” The Deadpool actor clarified the film would not be for him to star in, but contribute behind the scenes by writing and producing. Notably absent from the conversation is Disney's reception to the pitch. After an extensive search auditioning more than 30,000 actors, HBO's Harry Potter series has finally found its Harry, Hermoine and Ron, as Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout have been cast in the respective roles. Much like their predecessors from the films, our three leads are relative newcomers, with McLaughlin appearing alongside Hagrid-actor Nick Frost in the upcoming Sky comedy, Grow, and Stanton having starred as Matilda in Matilda The Musical on West End from 2023 to 2024, while this will be Stout's first significant role.Kieran Culkin has been cast as Caesar Flickerman in Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. The reboot of medical comedy Scrubs from Bill Lawrence and ABC currently in development has officially cast Zach Braff who will return to the series to reprise the role of JD, a character he played for 9 seasons.A24 confirmed Alex Garland will write and direct a live-action Elden Ring film with Bandai Namco Entertainment. The acclaimed game won the 2022 Game of the Year Award and has sold over 30 million copies. The Wheel of Time has been canceled after three seasons at Amazon‘s Prime Video. The series, from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios and based on Robert Jordan's best-selling series of fantasy novels, aired its third-season finale on April 17.James Gunn confirmed DC Studios will attend Comic-Con this year(July 24-27) with a panel focusing on Peacemaker season 2. The new season will feature another dance sequence in its opening credits, like season 1.Marvel and DC will be collaborating on a crossover comic between characters for the first time in two decades. A series of one shot comics will be released in September of this year featuring a crossover between Deadpool and Batman, with more character crossovers planned for next year.

Avengers assemble! In this episode, Shelby and Laura review Marvel's newest superhero movie--Thunderbolts* starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The 36th MCU film's marketing campaign promoted IMAX and A24 more than the actual movie, so we were curious to see how it all came together. We analyze the movie's surprising villain--Bob aka Sentry, mental health themes, and backstory plot holes. We dissect the film's lack of diverse casting and Ava Starr's minimal storylines, explain why there was too much homework needed to understand the film, highlight our favorite moments, like David Harbour's comedic timing as Alexei Shostakov, question why Bucky Barnes is a US Congressman, predict who will be in Sam Wilson's Avengers, and debate whether Valentina deserved to have a happy ending. Send us a textHello and welcome back with another new one! It's a holiday weekend and the bros hit that record button and crack open those cold ones! A few entertainment things hit our feeds this week and we check in on The Last Of Us and realize there is only one more episode left until this season is over. Tom Cruise is out there releasing amazing action films and says he will never stop which is perfect for us. Marvel delayed the next Avengers films. We pay our respects to some absolute legends we lost this past week. Over in the NFL we will still have to watch the tush push play unfortunately. The Texas Rangers are not a good team and will more than likely not make the playoffs. Then we end it all taking a look at a content creator who just got fake arrested for her content. What are we doing? Hit that play button out there and enjoy!! Cheers!https://linktr.ee/eskimobrotherspodcastwww.YouTube.com/@eskimobrotherspodcast
Tonight we present out Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning review!Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is a 2025 American action spy film directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen. The sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023), it is the eighth and final[6] installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. Tom Cruise (who also produced alongside McQuarrie), Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, and Angela Bassett reprise their roles from the previous films. In the film, Impossible Mission Force agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his team unite to prevent the rogue AI known as the "Entity" from unleashing global destruction against humanity. In January 2019, Cruise announced that the seventh and eighth Mission: Impossible films would be shot back-to-back with McQuarrie co-writing and directing both films. Plans for the eighth film later changed in February 2021. Returning and new cast members were announced soon after, including Lorne Balfe, who composed the score for two other films in the franchise, returning to score Final Reckoning, although Balfe later left the production and was replaced by his longtime collaborators Max Aruj and Alfie Godfrey. Filming began in March 2022 in the United Kingdom, with other filming locations including Malta, South Africa and Norway. Production was halted in July 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, resumed in March 2024, and concluded in November 2024. The film, originally titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, dropped its subtitle in October 2023, and the new subtitle was announced in November 2024. With an estimated budget of $300–400 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made. The Final Reckoning had its world premiere in Tokyo on May 5, 2025, was screened out of competition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on May 14, and was theatrically released in the United States on May 23, by Paramount Pictures. The film received positive reviews from critics and has grossed $204 million worldwide, becoming the ninth highest-grossing film of 2025 and the largest opening weekend in the franchise.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

One of the more successful imports in the 60s and 70s was The Avengers. An American version was bound to happen, and it did from the genius that was Quinn Martin. The leads were played by a name mentioned on this podcast a bit the last few weeks, Granville Van Dusen, and Morgan Fairchild. CBS took a pass, but the Avengers franchise (non-MCU version) lives on to this day.

Marvel fans, get ready! On this episode of The Kristian Harloff Show, Kristian is joined by co-hosts Coy Jandreau and Winston Marshal to break down the MASSIVE news: Marvel Studios has officially delayed AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY and AVENGERS: SECRET WARS release dates! The end of the Multiverse Saga is now coming later than expected, and we're diving deep into what this means for the entire MCU. Disney and Marvel Studios have announced that Avengers: Doomsday has been moved from May 1, 2026, to December 18, 2026. And Avengers: Secret Wars, meanwhile, will now open on December 17, 2027, after it was originally scheduled for May 7, 2027. While there's disappointment, were there telltale signs that Avengers: Doomsday might be delayed? We discuss why this feels like the right move, potentially giving both movies more time to shoot, increasing the odds of more actors being able to appear (like Tom Holland's Spider-Man!), and vastly extending that all-important post-production time. We also touch on the removal of an "Untitled Marvel Movie" from February 13, 2026, and other MCU title date changes. But the burning question is: What happens to SPIDER-MAN 4 now?! With "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" no longer opening between Doomsday and Secret Wars, we explore what this means for Spidey's next adventure and if it's more likely to be a street-level story. Could this be the perfect opportunity for the web-slinger? We're also tackling a huge RUMOR: The Russo Brothers are casting the MCU's new GHOST RIDER for AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY! Jeff Sneider confirmed that Marvel Studios and the Russos are in the process of casting the Spirit of Vengeance. Could we see Ghost Rider join the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four on screen against Doctor Doom? We'll discuss Ryan Gosling's previous comments about the role! Plus, we've got updates on the upcoming Disney+ series, VISION QUEST! Showrunner Terry Matalas confirms the show's place in the MCU timeline, revealing it directly follows White Vision's journey after WandaVision. We'll also break down the full list of confirmed writers for this highly anticipated series. OUR SPONSORS: TURTLE BEACH: Head to TurtleBeach.com and use code KRISTIAN for 10% off your entire order. The boys continue their rewatch of the MCU in chronological order with the sequel Thor: The Dark World. Now that we've made it past The Avengers we begin Phase 2 of the MCU with a sequel that's considered by some one of the weakest films in the MCU... do the boys agree or has this sequel aged better than expected?
