A graduate of San Francisco State Universities Asian American Studies Department, Matthew Abaya is a writer, director, and visual effects artist whose work has been seen in award-winning music videos and short films. His first feature-length motion picture “Vampariah” (2016) is based on his short film “Bampinay” (2003) which uses cultural influences and the horror/sci-fi genera as a vehicle to discuss race and identity.
