Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!This week I'm revisiting a conversation that still gets people fired up — the myths around swinging and the swinger lifestyle. There's a lot of judgment out there when it comes to non-traditional relationships. People assume swinging means cheating, broken marriages, reckless behavior, or something only a certain “type” of person does.So I went through a list of common myths and gave my honest take on each one.We talk about things like: Why swinging is not the same as cheating (consent matters) The idea that swingers have bad marriages — and why it's often the opposite Body image myths and the pressure people put on themselves Whether swinging is all about kink or just connection and experience The role of communication and trust in making any dynamic work Why your sex life doesn't define your value as a parent or a person The misconception that people in the lifestyle are reckless or irresponsible And why judgment usually says more about the person judging than the people living it From my own experience, one thing stands out:Most couples who successfully explore something like swinging already have a strong foundation, solid communication, and a high level of trust. Without that, it doesn't work. This episode isn't about convincing anyone to try swinging. It's about understanding it — and maybe questioning some of the assumptions we've all been taught.Because at the end of the day, your relationship is yours. What works for one couple won't work for another — and that's okaySupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships, power exchange, chastity, and everything in between.Full video versions of the podcast are now exclusively available inside Skool. And if you've supported me on Patreon in the past… DM me there. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!This episode came from a response to one of my newsletters… and it turned into a really honest conversation. The question was simple, but deep:What if submission isn't something you choose… What if it's something that's always been there? In this episode, we talk about what it means to be unapologetically submissive — not as a fantasy, but as part of someone's identity. We dig into: Knowing you're submissive from a young age The idea that submission isn't a choice, but something that “chooses you” The difference between extreme submission fantasies and real-life relationships Why some submissive men crave deeper levels of control than most dynamics provide The role of trust when it comes to power exchange Why finding the right woman matters more than finding a “dominant woman” How open-mindedness can build a dynamic where both partners grow into their roles We also talk honestly about what that level of submission actually looks like in real life — and how it's not always about pain or extreme scenarios, but about control, trust, and being led. This episode is less about rules… and more about understanding the psychology behind submission. If you've ever questioned where your desires come from — or how to navigate them in a real relationship — this one will hit.Key TakeawaySubmission isn't always something you “decide.”For some people, it's something they've always known — they just didn't have the language for it yet.Support the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships, power exchange, chastity, and everything in between.Full video versions of the podcast are now exclusively available inside Skool. And if you've supported me on Patreon in the past… DM me there. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!/////RE-RELEASE/////This week I'm revisiting a conversation that still gets a ton of reaction — cuckolding. And more specifically… the myths people refuse to let go of.If you've spent any time online, you've seen the comments:“That's not real love.” “He must be weak.” “That would destroy any relationship.”So let's actually talk about it.In this episode, I break down some of the most common misconceptions around cuckolding and what it actually looks like inside a real relationship — not porn, not fantasy, not internet outrage. We talk about what cuckolding really is, how it can exist in a consensual dynamic, and why so many people misunderstand it before ever asking a single question. I also get into a few big ones that come up constantly:The idea that a woman can't love her partner if she's with other people. The assumption that cuckold men are insecure or weak. And the belief that this kind of dynamic replaces intimacy inside a relationship.None of that has been true in my experience. What I've seen — and what we've lived — is that these dynamics require communication, trust, and a strong foundation. Without that, nothing works anyway. We also talk about how porn has completely distorted expectations, why many men misunderstand what this dynamic actually is, and how couples can explore it slowly instead of jumping straight into something they're not ready for.And just as important…We talk about the fact that this is not for everyone. You don't have to understand it.You don't have to agree with it.But you also don't need to tear down people who choose it.At the end of the day, every relationship is different. And if something works for two consenting adults who communicate openly and respect each other — that's what matters.Support the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships, power exchange, chastity, and everything in between.Full video versions of the podcast are now exclusively available inside Skool. And if you've supported me on Patreon in the past… DM me there. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!This episode came straight out of a conversation inside the FKRSkool.com community — and it's a good one.The question was simple, but loaded:How do you know if what you're experiencing is healthy submission… or codependency? So we broke it down.Codependency, by definition, is rooted in low self-esteem, poor boundaries, and relying on another person for identity and validation. It often shows up as losing yourself in someone else, neglecting your own needs, and not being able to function independently.Submission in a female-led relationship is something completely different. A submissive partner still has independence. Still has awareness. Still has the ability to take care of themselves if life throws something unexpected your way. The dynamic is chosen — not clung to out of fear or lack of self-worth.We also talk about: Why communication and boundaries are foundational in a healthy FLR The misconception that submissive equals weak (it doesn't) Why real submission actually requires self-awareness and strength How trust — not dependence — holds a power exchange together The difference between emotional attachment vs losing yourself completelyOne of the biggest takeaways? If your partner disappeared tomorrow, would you fall apart emotionally… or would you be unable to function at all? That answer says a lot. This episode isn't about labeling your relationship. It's about understanding the difference between choosing to submit and needing someone to survive emotionally.Support the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships, power exchange, chastity, and everything in between.Full video versions of the podcast are now exclusively available inside Skool. And if you've supported me on Patreon in the past… DM me there. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!If you're new to FLR or BDSM terminology, topping from the bottom happens when a submissive tries to control how the dominant leads. Sometimes it's obvious disobedience. Other times it's subtle — questioning instructions, micromanaging how something should be done, or trying to steer the dynamic toward what the submissive imagined instead of letting the dominant lead. This topic actually made me reflect on the early days of my own relationship. My subbie had previous experience with aspects of the lifestyle, and I didn't. When we first started exploring a female-led relationship together, there were moments where he would “help” guide how I expressed dominance. At the time it didn't seem like a big deal, but looking back I can see how easily that could have undermined confidence if we hadn't talked openly about it.And that's really the heart of this episode.Topping from the bottom often doesn't come from disrespect. It can come from excitement, impatience, or even insecurity. A submissive might want the dynamic so badly that they try to steer it toward what they've imagined instead of allowing the dominant to develop her own style of leadership. The problem is that this can unintentionally damage trust or confidence, especially in newer dynamics where both partners are still figuring things out.We also talk about the difference between constructive communication and topping from the bottom. Giving feedback, discussing boundaries, and talking through scenes or dynamics is healthy. Safety communication, redirection during play, and honest conversation should always be encouraged. But constantly correcting or directing a dominant can erode the balance of power that makes the dynamic work in the first place. At the end of the day, every FLR is different. Some couples are strict. Some are collaborative. Some shift depending on the situation. The key isn't perfection — it's communication, trust, and respect for each partner's role in the relationship. If you're navigating a female-led relationship or exploring dominance and submission dynamics, this conversation will help you understand why topping from the bottom happens and how couples can address it without Support the showHelp Support The Show? https://www.krystinekellogg.com/ Email Me! Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!This episode came straight out of TikTok — literally. We decided to do a blind reaction to comments on my FLR TikTok account, and honestly? It turned into one of the most grounded, informative conversations we've had in a while. From questions about chastity and “mental lockup,” to confusion around cuckolding, marriage, commitment, and whether you even need the kinky extras — we covered a lot.If you're new here, overwhelmed, or trying to figure out whether you're “doing FLR right,” this episode is your permission slip to slow down. Because here's the truth:Female-Led Relationship is the foundation. Everything else is optional. What We Cover in This EpisodeWhy we decided to react to TikTok comments without pre-reading themA real-life update on our current chastity status (spoiler: cages matter)The difference between physical chastity and mental chastityWhy finding the right cage is critical — comfort mattersWhy 24/7 chastity doesn't have to be the goal to be “real”How excuses creep in when life gets chaotic — and how to spot themWhy FLR works even when the cage is offThe truth about losing 150+ podcast episodes — and why we're rebuilding anywayWhether you need to be married to be in an FLR (short answer: no)Why commitment matters more than labelsThe reality of cuckolding, possessiveness, jealousy, and communicationWhy cuckolding is never necessary for an FLRHow emotions can show up unexpectedly — even years into a relationshipWhy active listening is one of the most important FLR skills you'll ever developThe difference between earned guilt and unhealthy shame in chastityWhy orgasms given by your partner are a reward, not something to feel bad aboutThe Ice Cream & Sprinkles Analogy (Yes, We're Using It Again)FLR is the bowel of vanilla ice cream. Chastity, pegging, cuckolding, feminization — those are the sprinkles. You don't need sprinkles to enjoy ice cream. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!///// RE-RELEASE /////Today I'm talking about what an FLR really looks like (hint: there's no rulebook), how cuckolding and chastity can work when they're born from trust and real-life communication, and yes… I'm diving into a wild little corner of the kink blogosphere called “Erection Correction.” Buckle up, the caffeine is kickin in!What You'll Hear in This Episode:What female-led really means — and why your version doesn't need to look like anyone else'sWhy our cuckolding dynamic works for us — and how we created it with mutual honestyThe real impact of chastity on behavior, control, and daily lifeWhy our FLR isn't always kink-forward — and why that's okayA look at the German blog that introduced us to the idea of “erection correction” — and Krystine's take on itA reminder: FLR isn't about impressing strangers. It's about making things work with your actual lifePractical Takeaways:You don't need chastity, cuckolding, or punishment protocols to have a real FLR. You just need communication and consent. Some FLRs are hardcore. Some are soft. Some are both, depending on the season of life you're in.Don't judge your dynamic by what you see online — especially when people are performing.Learn how to glean, not mimic. Take what helps you grow. Leave what doesn't serve you.Erection correction? It's real. It's intense. And it's a hell of a mindset shift. (Not for the faint of heart, but totally fascinating.)My FLR Life Right NowThings are wild around here. Life is a little chaotic — we're moving, juggling family, and keeping up with business. Our FLR is still very much present, but it's on a softer autopilot mode right now. That's real life. That's love. But this time, I'm coming at it from a totally new angle that honestly blew my mind a little. In this episode, I'm digging into the idea of spanking as therapy (yes, you read that right). A recent conversation with my camp bestie got me thinking, and then I stumbled across a 2020 article that laid it all out—turns out, spanking can do a hell of a lot more than just sting. It can actually help you reconnect, release stress, and even heal.

Have you struggled to let go of your relationship with a narcissist? The trauma bond created in narcissistic abuse can feel like an addiction, with physiological reasons behind the difficulty to break free. Understanding the hormone secretions and brain chemistry involved is key to developing the necessary strategies, intention, and awareness to heal. Somatic tools and deep trauma work are essential for thriving after narcissistic abuse, as simply ignoring the situation or waiting for time to heal often falls short. Recognising the unseen, psychological nature of this abuse, rather than focusing on visible bruises, is crucial. Becoming a cycle breaker and raising awareness about narcissistic traits and coercive control can empower both the individual and the broader community. With the right support and education, it is possible to overcome the trauma bond and reclaim your life after narcissistic abuse. 0:00 Trauma Bonding and Addiction 1:08 Upcoming Masterclass and Podcast Relaunch 8:04 Therapy and Coaching Techniques 8:20 Personal Journey and Healing 16:05 Support and Community Podcast Resources: Masterclass link https://carolinestrawson.com/trauma-bond New podcast guest application form https://form.jotform.com/caroline1973/podcast-guest-application Join my FREE Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/thriveafternarcissisticabuse Access my low cost Narcissistic Trauma Recovery Programme https://go.carolinestrawson.com/heal-the-trauma-of-narcissistic-abuse Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/carolinestrawson/ Find me on TikTok!: https://www.tiktok.com/@carolinestrawson My website: https://www.carolinestrawson.com/
