Lauren Porteous never imagined she would be making films growing up. She has come to filmmaking later in her life which she thinks is good timing as she now has better stories to tell. When Sam Harris from the animation team Squint Eastwood realised he had to make a sequel to a previous 48Hour Film. He was pumped, as he had been brewing on ideas for a sequel and still had all his original character drawings. Dazza and Bazza 2: Nicked is one of the films in this year's Grand Final at the Civic. Richard Falkner has entered HP48hours eleven times. Teams he has populated are - Empire of Reason, Traces of Nut and this year in 2017 he formed a one-man team called Temple of Solitude. These teams have had their successes and their failures including coming in 2nd place to Taika Waititi, winning best-disqualified team twice and he was also in the Wellington team Traces of Nut which took home the National prize in 2013.
