Joy Harjo, is an American poet, musician, playwright, author, and the incumbent United States Poet Laureate. Her poetry contains the wisdom of a sage and the intensity of a rebel. Against the capitalistic sky, she paints the myriad colors of nature, and takes us beyond that artificial sky, into the human essence. This particular piece is a powerful statement, reminding us to keep track and forge a conscious path for ourselves as we live and love though this life.
A sweet and brilliant look into the art of poetry creation. I recently discovered Laura Hershey's poetry, and have been enjoying it very much. She's a brilliant mind and soul, which very much reflects in her poetry. Learned a lot from this piece of hers as well.
One of (if not the) most famous works ot William Blake, the Tyger can rightly be dubbed, a masterpiece..It was published in Blake's (1794) volume "Songs of Experience", the successor to his earlier volume(1789) "Songs of innocence". The rhythm alone in this poem is a treat. A classic!
This poem is a special one, personally. It is a sweet poem, rather abstract, a check- point of sorts, in an individual's journey..I hope it gives you joy.. :)
This is a think piece, and it surely made me think. Let it do the same for you. :)

The prominent poet, essayist, publisher, playwright, literary critic, and editor, T.S.Eliot is one of the most influential names of the twentieth century, and his contributions are manifold. Here we have a delightful poem by the poet on Dogs (and cats!)..
A sweet short poem, making us look unto nature for inspiration. The changing seasons; spring time is here.

Good Bones is a special poem, and Maggie Smith beautifully presents us with a picture of the world that many might not like to think about, and our role in making it better.. The narrative is set in a motherly tone, and Maggie Smith effortlessly communicates a constructive idea, despite text's seemingly critical setup.
Homage to a painter of small things by Bruce Bond, a beautiful and inspiring poem, that paints a brilliant path for any artist, through the "painter of small things".
