According to pew research, 84% of Americans say that the economy was a very important issue they voted on in the 2016 election. Jobs and trade were also a big issue and is one of the reasons why Trump won (or Hillary Clinton lost). So lets take a look at these trade deals, what jobs were left in the wake, and how we can change the things for the average worker.
In the past election, race took a forefront on both sides of the political aisle. You have one side saying that black lives matter, one side saying all lives matter. One side supporting Kaepernick in his protest, and the other side saying it's disrespectful. Even though there are extremes on both sides, there is a problem with race in this country, but it doesn't fall entirely on individuals, there's also institutional things. So in part 8 of my 10 part series, were going to discuss racial issues and what we can do about them.

In episode 5, we discuss the fossil fuel lobby, the complicit media, and how we can slow down climate change.
Education shouldn't be looked at as a cost, it should be looked at as a public good. When you have a well educated workforce, you have a stimulated economy and citizens that are more involved. In part 4 of my 10 part series, we're going to discuss the rising costs of college, how standardized testing destroyed a generation, and what we we can do to change education today.
Today is January 31st, and also the day after our state of the union. And last night, we had a lot of applauding when it was said that we need to "rebuild our military". But Martin Luther King said it best in his “Beyond Vietnam” speech in 1967: "The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today (is) my own government." You fast forward over 50 years later and this remains true. But why? In this episode we're going to talk about why we are considered the world police, how the military industrial complex has a hold on washington DC, and the cost of all these wars.
Healthcare costs have been rising overall. Not as fast as when the Affordable Care Act (ACA), or Obamacare was implemented, but they still are. In this episode, we talk about what obamacare is, why we don't have Medicare for All, and why we need it.
President Trump like to tout that the booming stock market is evidence as a boosting economy. But is that the whole story? In this episode, we dive into wall street, wealth inequality, and the effect the economy has had on the future middle class.
