You don't feel exhausted because you have too much to do. You feel exhausted because too many decisions are still open. In this episode, I break down how “open loops” — the unresolved questions quietly spinning in your brain, are driving your mental load and keeping your nervous system activated all day long. I share the simple decision framework I teach my clients that instantly brings relief. This isn't about better organizing. It's about deciding differently. And when you do? Everything shifts. In this episode, we unpack: Why unfinished decisions drain more energy than a full calendar What “open loops” are and how they secretly drive mental exhaustion The four most common loops: leadership, relational, daily focus, and parenting Why your brain treats undecided as urgent The 5 decision options that immediately close loops and create reliefWork with me: Ambitious & Balanced: www.rebeccaolsoncoaching.com/ambitiousandbalanced Book your Break Free From Stress Strategy Call (with free Quiz!): www.ambitiousandbalanced.com/break-free-from-stress Our Sponsor: NannyTrack helps families who employ a nanny understand what's required, track pay and PTO, estimate taxes, and prepare to file correctly themselves.

Today I share something that changed the way I plan, work, and make progress on the dreams that matter most to me. It's simple, and it is powerful. Stop thinking in years. Start thinking in quarters. When you treat a quarter as a mini year, everything shifts. Your focus sharpens. Overwhelm reduces. Momentum increases. And suddenly, the goals that felt “too big” start to feel doable. In this episode, you'll learn why annual planning often breaks down (even when our intentions are beautiful), and how a 90-day container creates the clarity and urgency we need without the burnout. ...and I share my favourite rule for quarterly planning, the one that makes it work. If you're craving more structure, more calm, and a clear plan for the next season of your life, you will love this one. As always, I’d LOVE to hear what resonated most with you - so please share and let’s keep the conversation going in the Dream Life Podcast Facebook Group here. …and remember, it all starts with a dream
Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show starts with Moon casually announcing he's selling HALF HIS LIFE on Reverb like it's no big deal. Guitars, pedals, touring memorabilia, signed band merch — basically, if you've ever wanted to own a piece of pop-punk history (or just something Moon once accidentally stepped on), today's your lucky day. The man partnered with Reverb for an official artist shop launch, and yes, it's legit. Chicago-based. Fancy. Organized. Unlike this show. Then we pivot — violently — into the debut of The Riz Quiz, a rapid-fire trivia showdown that proved two things:People absolutely panic when asked simple questions.Kevin might secretly be a robot programmed for suburban dad knowledge.Contestants battled it out in a 60-second gauntlet of questions covering everything from St. Louis landmarks and sports teams to pop culture chaos like Wakanda, SpongeBob, and the boiling point of water (which, by the way, is apparently controversial now). We had ties. We had confusion. We had people muting their phones with their cheeks. It was beautiful.Kevin threw down a 12-point performance that had the studio stunned. Then Matt matched it. THEN Andrew matched it. The tension was real. The chat was furious. Moon questioned science center technicalities. King Scott started auditing answers like he works for the Department of Trivia Accuracy. And when given the opportunity to risk it all and win every prize — Finger Eleven tickets, Young the Giant tickets, and Point Fest passes — Kevin… took the safe route. A bold strategy for a daily comedy show built on questionable decisions. We roasted him appropriately. You'll also hear debate about St. Louis City SC naming semantics, mild outrage over freezing points, and the realization that pressure makes even smart people forget Jupiter exists. If you love competitive chaos, local pride, pop culture trivia, and watching grown adults argue over area codes, this daily comedy show delivers. It's fast, it's sarcastic, and it's proudly unhinged in the most lovable way.Missed it live on 105.7 The Point in St. Louis? Good news. This daily comedy show travels with you. In this week's episode photographer Pete Souza takes on our 'Proust Photo Quiz'... The Proust Questionnaire is a set of questions answered by the French writer Marcel Proust. Proust answered the questionnaire in a confession album, a form of parlour game popular at the end of the 1890s. The album, titled An Album to Record Thoughts, Feelings, etc. was found in 1924 and published in the French literary journal Les Cahiers du Mois. Our 'Proust Photo Quiz' is an adaption of the original text. Pete Souza is a best-selling author, speaker and freelance photographer. He started his career working for two small newspapers in Kansas. From there, he worked as a staff photographer for the Chicago Sun-Times; an Official Photographer for President Reagan; a freelancer for National Geographic and other publications; the national photographer for the Chicago Tribune based in their Washington, D.C. bureau; and an assistant professor of photojournalism at Ohio University. While at the Tribune, Souza was part of the staff awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2001. After 9/11, he was among the first journalists to cover the fall of Kabul, Afghanistan. In 1992, Souza published, Unguarded Moments: Behind-the-Scenes Photographs of President Reagan, based on his 5 1/2 years in the Reagan White House. Souza was also the official photographer for the 2004 funeral of President Reagan. His 2008 book, The Rise of Barack Obama, includes exclusive photographs of Obama's rise to power. For all eight years of the Obama administration, Souza was the Chief Official White House Photographer and the Director of the White House photo office. His book, Obama: An Intimate Portrait, was published in 2017. His 2018 book, Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents, tells the tale of the Obama and Trump administrations. In 2021, Souza was inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame. In 2022, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Professional Photographers of America. Based on his best-selling books, Souza became the subject of a documentary film in 2020, The Way I See It. The film was nominated for an Emmy. Talking about sex is one of the hardest things for people to do. People want to communicate about desire, boundaries, and fantasies, but the conversation can feel painfully high-stakes. And yet, in one place, sex gets discussed openly in front of strangers: the comedy club. Today, we're exploring why sex is so funny, how comedians navigate taboo topics, and the tightrope between normalizing sex and reinforcing stigma. I am joined by Jenny Zigrino. You've seen her on late-night television, in film and streaming specials, and lighting up social media with bits that are bold, self-aware, and sharply observant. You can see her in the new show Crowd Control on Dropout TV and her most recent Don't Tell Comedy special is out now. Some of the specific topics we explore in this episode include: Why is sex such irresistible comedy material? How can stand-up bits about sex also serve as a form of sex education? When do sex jokes normalize conversation, and when do they reinforce shame? How has talking about sex in stand-up evolved over time? You can check out Jenny’s website to connect with more of her work. Got a sex question? Summary In this episode, Ali Damron discusses the complexities of hormonal imbalances, particularly in women experiencing perimenopause. She emphasizes that while hormones play a significant role in various symptoms, lifestyle factors such as chronic stress, self-criticism, and lack of boundaries are often overlooked. Ali explains how the nervous system's state can impact overall health, digestion, and emotional well-being. She advocates for a holistic approach to healing that includes understanding the nervous system, managing stress, and practicing self-compassion. The conversation concludes with practical strategies for improving health and well-being. Takeaways Many women blame their hormones for various symptoms. Lifestyle factors often contribute more to hormonal issues than hormones themselves. Chronic stress can lead to a state of fight-or-flight, affecting overall health. The nervous system plays a crucial role in digestion and hormone regulation. Self-compassion is essential for managing stress and improving health. Healing the nervous system involves doing less, not more. Creating a sense of safety in life can improve health outcomes. Practical strategies for stress management can enhance well-being. Understanding the connection between stress and physical symptoms is vital. Consulting with a healthcare provider can help address unique health concerns. sound bites "My hormones are a mess!" This episode came from a realization I kept having about Manifestor power, both in my own life, and watching other Manifestors. We've been taught that sovereignty means freedom. And somewhere along the way, freedom got translated into impulsivity.Into rebellion and into “I'll do whatever I want.” But that isn't sovereignty. That's a reaction. In this conversation, I unpack why so many Manifestors end up swinging between rebellion and people-pleasing - and why both are actually forms of self-protection. We talk about: How the image of the “wild, unpredictable Manifestor” got created Why rebellion often forms as a response to being controlled or misunderstood How impulsive action can feel like freedom when it's actually a nervous system reflex The difference between reacting against control and initiating from self-led authority This is the point where something really shifts for Manifestors. When we stop defining ourselves against something, and start moving from within. Because your impact doesn't need conflict to land. And it definitely doesn't need you burning yourself out trying to prove anything. If this landed for you: This conversation is a small window into the work we do inside Manifestor Mastery. Manifestor Mastery is where we slow this down and go deeper, out of survival strategies, out of reaction, and into grounded, embodied authority. It's not about becoming louder or more disruptive. It's about becoming cleaner, steadier, and more self-led. If you're feeling the pull to move from rebellion into real sovereignty, you can explore Manifestor Mastery here:
