Welcome Arik! Wilder Coe’s newest Audit Supervisor joins us for a chat. At the beginning of May, Wilder Coe had the pleasure of welcoming Arik Rubens to our firm. Not only has Arik recently become a fully qualified chartered accountant, he also started a brand new job completely online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having never stepped foot inside our London office or had the opportunity to shake hands with colleagues and management, Arik has taken the remote working in his stride and with a huge smile on his face. Finding the whole interview and on-boarding situation “surreal”, and having to schedule meetings with colleagues around his fellow accountant flatmates in the front room, Arik is certainly looking forward to getting into the office and having beer with the team. Without the usual simple pleasure of crossing paths in the kitchen and meeting over a brew, we took the opportunity to have a little Zoom catch up, say hello, and find out a little more about Arik. This podcast gives a deeper insight into why Arik’s love for detail led him to become an auditor, the best advice he’s received during his training and where his career goals are going to take him next. Find out which instrument is gathering dust, what his mates think of him and who’s joining him for dinner by listening to our latest podcast
