Liza Irazoque's story is one of determination, adaptability, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Born and raised in Chicago to Mexican parents, Liza's journey is deeply rooted in her multicultural upbringing. Her parents ensured she stayed connected to her heritage by taking annual trips to Mexico, which instilled in her a deep appreciation for her culture. This strong sense of identity has been a driving force in her career and personal life.Liza's professional journey took an unexpected turn when she decided to move to Cancun. Initially intended as a short vacation, it turned into a three-year stint selling timeshares. "I arrived on a Wednesday, saw a job post, and by Saturday, I was already working," Liza recalls. Her experience in Cancun not only deepened her connection to Mexico but also honed her sales skills, preparing her for her future in real estate. When COVID-19 hit, Liza found herself back in Chicago. The pandemic shutdowns brought her back home, where she sought new opportunities. Driving by a real estate school one day, she decided to pivot her career. "I wasn't doing anything at the moment, and with no one traveling, timeshares were at a standstill. So, I thought, why not give real estate a try?" she explains.Transitioning from selling timeshares to real estate wasn't as drastic as it might seem. Both roles required her to connect with people and understand their needs. However, the motivations of her clients were different. "In timeshares, people are on vacation, and there's often buyer's remorse. In real estate, clients already want to buy a home; it's a significant, tangible investment for their families," Liza notes.Liza's ability to read people and adapt her approach has been crucial to her success. She emphasizes the importance of making connections and collaborating with colleagues to better serve clients. "I'm a people's person. I love to interact and be involved in various organizations. Building relationships and collaborating is key to providing the best for my clients," she says. Her approach to real estate is holistic, taking into account the emotional and psychological aspects of buying a home. "We're more than just brokers; we're psychologists, financial advisors, and problem-solvers for our clients. It's about preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, making sure clients feel comfortable and prepared for any scenario," Liza explains. One of Liza's notable strengths is her ability to anticipate and manage client expectations. By preparing clients for potential challenges, she ensures they remain calm and confident throughout the transaction. "If anything goes wrong, they remember I warned them, and we can pivot together," she says.Liza's personal journey has also influenced her professional approach. Having struggled with weight and self-esteem issues, she underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2019, transforming her life. This personal victory has given her a newfound confidence and a passion for running, with two marathons under her belt. "Running is my me-time, a way to de-stress and reflect on life and business. It's about the journey, not just the destination," Liza shares. Her success in real estate is a testament to her adaptability, resilience, and strong work ethic. As she continues to grow her career, Liza remains committed to learning and evolving. "Challenges are a part of life and business. Staying informed and connected with industry changes through organizations like YPN and NARUP helps me adapt and thrive," she states.Looking ahead, Liza is excited about her new chapter as a solo agent. After gaining valuable experience on teams, she's eager to implement her learnings into her own business. "I want to see what I can achieve on my own, applying everything I've learned to provide the best service to my clients," she...

Lancelot elkötelezettsége a kiválóság iránt a magánéletében is megmutatkozik, amit jól példáz, hogy fiatalon megszerezte a nagyra becsült Eagle Scout rangot. Lancelot közösségi szerepvállalása ugyanilyen figyelemre méltó: aktív szerepet vállal a Daytona Beach Regionális Kereskedelmi Kamarában, a YPN-ben, a DBAA Realtorsban, a StellarMLS-ben, a Real Men Wear Pinkben, a Women's Council of Realtorsban és az RRC - Residential Real Estate Councilban. Lancelot S. Crazy Vegas Drivers!

The Nightly Rant

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 1, 2023 15:33

We've talked about this before, but it seems like the problem is only getting worse. We're talking about the idiot drivers here in Las Vegas. They are a breed of their own, not in a good way. They have no regard for traffic rules or the safety of others on the road."They're so bad they can't drive," says Torya, and I couldn't agree more. We've witnessed some truly mind-boggling incidents on the road. The other day, we were stopped at a red light in the turn lane when a car behind us got impatient, roared around us, and turned on the light from a non-turn lane. It's as if they have no concept of basic traffic laws. But that's not all. A few days later, we were heading out to Summerlin when a car in front of us at the off-ramp decided to go while the light was still red for us. It's insane how these drivers think they can do whatever they want without consequences. And that's the scary part. What happens if they meet the wrong person on the road? Road rage was a big deal in California, and we've seen news stories of drivers threatening each other or even resorting to violence. Just recently, we witnessed a horrifying incident here in Las Vegas. While driving to the new McDonald's, we noticed flashing lights and police cars surrounding a bluish-silver vehicle. It turns out that the driver of that car had gotten into a road rage incident with someone else, and that person pulled out a gun and shot the driver and his six-year-old daughter.Thankfully, they survived with non-life-threatening injuries, but what kind of person does that? What could possibly justify shooting at a car with a child inside? It's beyond comprehension. As Torya rightly points out, "I can't believe how low you have to go when you shoot at a six-year-old girl or anybody for that matter." It's a despicable act that leaves a lasting impact on the child and the entire family. We can't help but wonder what leads someone to such extreme actions. What could the other driver have done to provoke such a response? But even if they did something annoying, nothing justifies pulling out a gun and shooting at a child. It's a testament to the darkness in some people's hearts. As we reflect on these incidents, we can't help but feel a sense of frustration towards the general state of driving in Las Vegas. It's not just the occasional road rage incident; it's the everyday recklessness that risks innocent lives. We've experienced tailgating, speeding, lane weaving, and the blatant disregard for traffic signals. It's a constant source of anxiety and danger on the road. So, what can be done about this madness? We believe there are a few steps that can help address the issue. First and foremost, the loopholes in the law that allow drivers to weasel their way out of tickets need to be closed. If someone is driving dangerously or breaking the rules, they should face the consequences, plain and simple.Secondly, law enforcement should prioritize the most dangerous driving behaviors. As Torya suggests, they should pick the top five offenses and enforce them rigorously. This targeted approach would ensure that the most egregious violations are dealt with promptly. And as revenue from these fines increases, more resources can be allocated to enforcing other traffic laws. But it's not just about enforcement; it's also about education and awareness. We need to educate drivers about the importance of following traffic rules and the potential consequences of reckless driving. Public awareness campaigns, driver's education programs, and community initiatives can all promote safer driving habits.Ultimately, it's up to each individual driver to take responsibility for their actions on the road. We need to remember that driving is a privilege, not a right. We have a duty to ourselves and others to drive safely and responsibly. It's time for YPN people to wake up and realize the impact of their actions. In conclusion, the madness of crazy Vegas drivers on the road is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. The reckless behavior and disregard for traffic laws put innocent lives at risk. It's time for stricter enforcement, closing legal loopholes, and increased education to promote safer driving habits. Let's strive for a future where road rage and dangerous driving are a thing of the past.TimestampSummary0:00:15Introduction to the show and shout out to a friend's podcast0:01:31Discussion about terrible drivers in Las Vegas0:03:12Story about road rage incident and shooting0:08:04Discussion on using guns for self-defense0:09:47Talk about crazy drivers in Las Vegas0:10:13Panic attacks from dangerous driving0:11:29Enforcing traffic laws selectively0:12:00Close loopholes in ticketing system0:12:20Gradually enforce all traffic laws0:13:31Private police force for traffic violations0:13:51Normal police handle impaired drivers0:14:06Using Bumble Friends to make friends0:14:14Forgetting what was going to be said0:14:56Brain explosion0:15:15End of the podcast

"How to make it in very unpredictable times"   In this next official Property Entrepreneur podcast, I'm going to explore with a very good friend of mine, is success and failure actually very predictable in very unpredictable times?   Ant Lyons, a long standing friend of mine and the founder and editor of YPN magazine, reached out to me recently and asked “For 10 years, you've been saying success and failure are both very predictable. Now, we're in one of the most unpredictable periods of our lives, economically, financially and internationally, do you think that success and failure are still very predictable?”   My initial answer to this, in my head, was very clear but then as I explored it in more detail and we got into it in the podcast, there's actually a number of things to consider to establish whether success and failure for you in the next 12 months are actually very predictable.    The people who get this right build a well balanced, well structured, well considered portfolio of businesses, properties and investments.  Those who do not understand how to do this are hoping for a fair wind, do not have the contingency and the breathing space they may need if they hit troubled water, and will be in a very, very difficult position as we head into the rest of 2022 and beyond.    In this podcast, we've explored what the markets are doing now, what the economy is doing, what inflation and interest rates could mean for your businesses, and how you can adjust and think in a slightly different way so not only are you going to survive through the 12 months ahead, but you can thrive when you understand success and failure are indeed, very, very predictable.    This is a great podcast, being interviewed by a great guest and it's a pleasure to guest on the official Your Property Network podcast with my good friend, Mr Ant Lyons.    I hope you enjoy.
