State Rep. Dwayne Yunker, responding to the O-Live hit piece and what comes next. Open phones, D-62 quiz, Open 4 Business, Network in Action, Lisa McClease Kelly and Mark Saunders from Palm Restore.
Producer Mark Saunders has done a lot of things, but amidst it all he's responsible for two of the most revolutionary albums of all time. The first is Neneh Cherry's debut Raw Like Sushi featuring the game-changing "Buffalo Stance". The second is the debut album Maxinquaye from Tricky which rewrote the rules as far as what music could sound like. Just those would be enough for some people, but we also hear about The Cure, the Chameleons, Erasure, Madness, a-ha, Ian McCulloch, Lisa Stansfield, Cyndi Lauper, and an absolutely bananas experience with John Lydon. Plus, we get the full scoop on the historic night when Bowie and Jagger recorded "Dancing in the Street". It's 3 hours and not a second is wasted on this instant classic. Don't miss it! Greg Brady & the panel of: Stephanie Smyth, Toronto—St. Paul MPP Brad Bradford, Toronto city councillor for Beaches - East York Mark Saunders, former Toronto police chief, mayoral candidate Discuss: 1 - Federal budget reaction - this DOES impact all of us. Hard to find positives? I think we all think a lot more about debt we leave our kids than we did when we were younger voters, yes? 2 - Conservative MP says he's considering joining Canada's Liberal government: Is floor-crossing a betrayal of voters? 3 - Tom Brady is cloning his dog - not to bring you to tears, but….thoughts on cloning a pet? Greg Brady & the panel of: Stephanie Smyth, Toronto—St. Paul MPP Brad Bradford, Toronto city councillor for Beaches - East York Mark Saunders, former Toronto police chief, mayoral candidate Discuss: 1 - Ontario proposes to rebate HST for some first-time homebuyers: Not perfect but it's a start, should the rebate apply to all new primary residence purchases and not just first time homebuyers? Should homes over $1.5 million also qualify for the full rebate? 2 - Clearly still a ton of work to do regarding the TTC being efficient. But more people in the city means more cars on the road (people back to work as well) and congestion will be significant. Does this have an easy answer? 3 -Burlington man issued bylaw warning for Halloween decorations: fair or foul? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Greg Brady & the panel of: Stephanie Smyth, Toronto—St. Paul MPP Brad Bradford, Toronto city councillor for Beaches - East York Mark Saunders, former Toronto police chief, mayoral candidate Discuss: 1 - Temporary hotel funding ends - feds had spent at least $1.2B on it - cities now under pressure, Toronto amongst them, and yet no ask for a re-frame or re-think about asylum qualifications or fixing the system from Mayor Chow - just an ask for $. How do you see this? She's fine to ask for it - it only makes the issues grow, does it not? 2 - Two terrible scooter accidents in GTA involving 12 and 10 year olds. TERRIBLE to hear of, yet not sure lack of legislation impacts this. I was pleased to see a bunch of tickets handed out in Toronto for illegal use of them. Does any deterrent work to prevent this, besides us agreeing 10 and 12 is way too young to be anywhere near heavy traffic with these? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this episode of The Cordial Catholic, I'm joined by Mark Saunders, who has an incredible "reversion" story to tell. Raised in a devout Catholic household Mark explains why he initially left the Catholic Church – despite working as an altar server and even discerning the priesthood at one point! – and how his success as a musician led to a life of sin, depravity, and eventually found him seeking out Jesus once again – and finding him in an anti-Catholic, Evangelical church. From there, Mark's story gets even more fascinating as he begins to work as a pastor, serving his Church and even publicly discrediting his Catholic upbringing until, much to his surprise, he began to be drawn back, once again, to the Church of his childhood. Mark's story is incredible and Mark is a wonderful guest: open, honest, and absolutely on fire for Christ and His Church. To connect with Mark you can check out his YouTube channel, his TikTok account, and connect with him via e-mail at markjpsaunders@yahoo.co.uk.Send your feedback to cordialcatholic@gmail.com. As Toronto teen lay dying, witness says the West Park Healthcare Centre ignored cries for help: Teen was shot, but died while the person who called 9-1-1 waited 6 mins and 43 seconds before the call was answered, how do we stop this pattern? Should a publicly funded healthcare centre be allowed to keep its doors shut to a bleeding teen because it “isn't an ER”? Do health-care staff have a moral (or legal) duty to give first aid outside the building? 3.Trump shrugs off questions over Epstein memo, calling them ‘a desecration': The Justice Department now says it won't release any more Epstein files, do you think there's more than meets the eye here? In this week's episode of Catholic ReCon, testimonies from reverts and converts, guest Mark Saunders shares his INCREDIBLE return to the Catholic faith. ---Raised Catholic and once dreaming of the priesthood, Mark Saunders' life took a dramatic turn—boxing instead of Mass, nightlife over worship, and a spiral into addiction. At 20, he became a pop star in the UK, charting across Europe. But behind the fame, he was broken.

NO SOAP RADIO: The Jack Benny Program, "No One Remembers Jack's Birthday" Our 4th NO SOAP RADIO production was created in February, 2023 and premiered at the 3rd annual Jack Benny Convention. This is a recreation of the 1955 Lucky Strike Program starring Jack Benny - "No One Remembers Jack's Birthday". We chose this particular program to spotlight one of our actors, Victoria Gordon. Victoria's grandfather, Al Gordon, was one of the writers on this show. Al was part of Jack Benny's writing staff for many years and also had a very successful career writing for many TV sitcoms and variety shows throughout the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. This show was produced, directed and edited by Paul Kovit.
