For the third year in a row, we are once again bringing the Virtual Trade Expo Concept back. The concept is very simple. We give a cigar company a 15-minute slot to come on and talk about their summer/upcoming releases. We are scheduling this over two shows. This should eliminate backlog and provide a little more time for discussion: Day 1 – June 23, 2021 Day 2 - June 30, 2021 Tonight we kick off Day One and we have the following lineup: Alec Rubin, Alec Bradley Cigar Co. Miguel Schoedel, Crowned Heads/ACE Prime Hector Alfonso, Espinosa Cigars Michael Cappellini, Toscano Cigars Sebastien Decoppet & Brian Motola, Cavalier Geneve Enrique Seijas, Matilde Cigars Andy Yaffee, Micallef Cigars

I travel to Capital Cigar Lounge in Lincoln, Nebraska and sit down with Alec Rubin of Alec Bradley Cigars. Alec and I discuss what it was like growing up in the industry and his unique cigar journey. Alec describes what it's like working with family, what he believes makes a cigar manufacturer "boutique," and his opinions on vitolas and accessories. We touch a little bit on how the global pandemic has affected the industry, how it affected their business, and that leads to a discussion on the meaning behind the Kintsugi (and why it was 6mos behind schedule). A huge thank you to Jeff Fry, GM of Capital Cigar Lounge, and owners Tony and Austin for allowing me the opportunity to sit down with Alec Rubin and talk with him.
This week, #ELOsoFumarTakes is pleased to welcome Alec Rubin of Alec & Bradley Cigars for our #119thTake. It's the second half of the coin. Is it Tails? Is it Heads? It's Alec. If you remember, we had Bradley Rubin featured in our #98thTake and he returned for a very special #115thTake. Now, it's time to get the whole story and learn about Alec's journey. We chat Gatekeeper, their latest creation - Kintsugi, and what it was like (unlike his infamous father) to grow up in the cigar business. Alec and I also pick up a debate we started over eight months ago. What exactly is a boutique cigar company. Enjoy! https://www.alecandbradley.com/ Kintsugi Release: https://cigar-coop.com/2020/03/cigar-news-alec-bradley-kintsugi-coming-later-this-spring.html #Take of the #Take: "We had a decision to make. To be Alan Rubin's sons or Alec Bradley and we chose Alec and Bradley."
It’s VERY special Smoke Night LIVE, featuring: Jonathan Drew, Erik Espinosa, Matt Booth, Terence Reilly, George Rami, Eddy Guerra, Skip Martin, Alec Rubin, Juan Cancel, and Kevin Keithan. We have assembled almost every cigar brand that has ever collaborated with the Dojo and are throwing them into the Dojo/Protocol Virtual Lounge for a chat about cigars, life, and the existential nature of man’s existence.
