In 1968, American television boldly went where it had never gone before, broadcasting what's claimed to be the country's first interracial kiss in a TV programme. The moment of passion was between Captain Kirk of the starship USS Enterprise and communications officer Lieutenant Uhura, in Star Trek. Nichelle Nichols played Uhura in the cult series, and she was one of the first black women to be featured on American TV in a non-subservient role. Through archive BBC interviews, Nichelle explains the story behind that famous scene. Produced and presented by Reena Stanton-Sharma. Arden Myrin is back in the Pol' Atteu Beverly Hills Showroom and we get into everything from Hollywood war stories to protecting your magic, dating after divorce, fashion obsessions and the very unusual reason her on-screen husband Burt Kreischer still will not kiss her. We pick up with Arden looking back at the shows she loved making, what it feels like to be underestimated, and why she refuses to let anyone minimize the work behind the comedy. She opens up about writing her own book, building and designing her own home, creating a musical and the lesson her late mother gave her as a child: protect your magic. Suddenly the “easy money” plan starts looking suspiciously like every other entertainment career.Naturally, this becomes a discussion about celebrity OnlyFans accounts, what exactly people are paying for, whether there's a male market for the platform, and the apparently untapped economic potential of vacuuming your house without a shirt on.Business school, but worse.Then the funny podcast nostalgia machine kicks into gear as Riz asks everybody to remember the websites and apps from the early days of the internet.MySpace.
