Meagan is back behind the mic and reintroducing the Resting Bliss Face Podcast, sharing why she first launched it in 2019 as a fitness instructor and health coach with two little ones at home. Her goal then (and now) was simple: be a positive voice for women, remind them to take care of themselves, and help them expand what they believe is possible. Since those early episodes, life has grown in the best ways. Meagan welcomed a third baby and opened her own Pilates studio in her town, which just celebrated its two-year anniversary. In a world that often feels chaotic and loud, her mission remains the same: to hype you up, encourage you, and remind you that you're capable of more than you think. This episode centers around one powerful theme: creating opportunity instead of waiting for it. Meagan walks through her journey, from childhood dreams of working in Boston radio, to building a corporate career in mutual funds, landing a job at KISS 108, making the leap to New York radio, and choosing Equinox despite people warning her it was a "resume killer." That leap opened doors to roles at Rue La La and eventually being recruited by Yahoo. All the while, she was building her fitness career on the side, completing teacher training while working full-time, launching coaching programs, creating an on-demand platform during COVID (while pregnant and sick), and eventually opening her own studio after noticing a gap in her local community. She shares openly that she didn't have industry connections or family financial backing. What did she have? A willingness to bet on herself, over and over again. Setbacks weren't failures; they were lessons. Meagan also gives a few current updates: the studio is thriving, she's planning another retreat, teasing a new upcoming initiative, and has partnered with Atmosphera, a female-founded, climate-specific skincare company she genuinely loves. “If I hadn't have known that was Anthrax, I would have guessed it was Alice In Chains…”   The early 90's was a strange time for metal, most notably due to the change in the musical landscape with the emergence of the Seattle scene and Alice In Chains becoming one of the key crossover bands to bridge the transition from thrash to the next wave of darker, grungier sounding heavy metal.    “Every time you do that, I have a less chance of getting laid…”   While ANTHRAX began the 90's with a much darker and angrier sound on Persistence of Time, the darkness and heaviness of their sound would become further amplified with the departure of Joey Belladonna and the addition of JOHN BUSH (formerly of Armored Saint) on vocals, resulting in a new era of Anthrax: BUSHTHRAX!    With more grit and heft in the vocals than before, the JOHN BUSH ERA of ANTHRAX is definitely a different flavor than the band's output throughout the 80's with Joey Belladonna, and with the changing of the guard in the early 90's due to the growing popularity of the Seattle sound, the time was right for a slight alteration to the thrashier sounds of 80's era ThrashThrax, resulting in the darker, more aggressive BUSHTHRAX era that would follow for the next decade or so.   “Alright, well it's not like we've never done that for you before…”   Always remember that “springtime LSD is the best time for LSD” and that “it's not as fun for me when I push away”. In June 2016, Karen Ristevski vanished from her home. Her husband, Borce, told their daughter she had gone for a walk and never returned. For months, police and family searched in vain. Then, in February 2017, hikers stumbled upon her skeletal remains in a quiet nature reserve. Police pieced together CCTV footage and phone records, leading to Borce’s arrest.
