En el Centro de Mayores de la Avenida de La Vera, en Plasencia, el taller de bailoterapia se ha convertido en un pequeño refugio de alegría. Allí Toni, Isabel, Mariluz, María, Carmen, Antonio y el resto del alumnado comparten cada semana música, movimiento y complicidad. Guiados por la energía y la sonrisa de Pepa Escalante, la monitora, están descubriendo cómo el baile mejora el equilibrio, la coordinación y, sobre todo, el ánimo. Entre pasos sencillos surgen risas, se libera el estrés y se crea un ambiente saludable que engancha. Más que una actividad, la bailoterapia es ya un momento para sentirse acompañados y felices. Malpartida de Plasencia cuenta en la actualidad con un piso tutelado para mayores, un centro asistencial al Ciudadano inaugurado este 2025 y servicio de comida a domicilio para más de 80 personas. En el piso gestionado con el Ayuntamiento y subvencionado por la Junta están ocupadas 19 de las 40 plazas. Las vacantes pueden ser para pensionistas sin dependencia del municipio o de otras localidades.Es una vivienda en la que los mayores se pueden encontrar como en su propia casa. No sustituye el hogar anterior, pero casi casi lo consigue. Cuentan además con servicios de lavandería, peluquería podología, entre otros. Y desde este año también funciona el Centro Asistencial al Ciudadano destinado a prestar servicios de alimentación y otras necesidades básicas encaminadas a la promoción de la autonomía personal. El castro vetón de Villasviejas del Tamuja es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más emblemáticos para el estudio de la Segunda Edad del Hierro en Extremadura. Desde el año 2016 un equipo multidisciplinar integrado por investigadores del Instituto de Arqueología y la Universidad de Extremadura ha tomado el testigo de las investigaciones en el sitio. Además de una presentación general del yacimiento, se ofrecerá una visión general de los avances que ha generado la actividad de dicho equipo, con especial atención a las últimas novedades resultantes de los trabajos más recientes. Y por eso en este programa reflexionamos sobre este arte con la Peña más antigua de Extremadura, La Asociación de Arte Flamenco de Badajoz, concretamente con su presidente Manuel Iglesias. Charlamos de la situación tan complicada en la que se encuentran las peñas y de la esencia de este ARTE que tenemos que seguir preservando. También les hablamos del Festival Flamenco de Cáceres que cumple 51 años con mucha salud e ilusión como nos contará su organizador Pepe Chaves, presidente de la Asociación Amigos del Flamenco de Extremadura. Y hablamos con uno de los artistas que estará en este festival de Cáceres, el extremeño Daniel Castro que no para de cosechar éxitos en los concursos de cante nacionales a los que se presenta. Además les traigo un resumen de nuestra visita a Plasencia. Estuvimos en la comida de hermadad de la Peña Flamenca Virgen del Puerto, dirigida por Román Hernández. In today's conversation we talk about Yandy's journey and vision as well as how mid-sized insurance companies can explore and empower their finance teams, especially their CFOs, by automating data reconciliation and unlocking real-time insights. KEY TAKEAWAYS          For the most part, it all comes down to the basic leger/sub-ledger challenge. The core systems are transactional and have all the information of what took place, what payments were paid out, when a claim came in, what took place and everything to verify a claim has coverage within the rules defined by the policy. If the data isn't easy to extract so it's digestible and consumable by the right audience then it will be challenging for that audience to interpret the data, reconcile it and do it in a timely fashion. In smaller sized carriers there will be more technical folks who are not necessarily business folks, there's always a gap between what the business and technology folks are looking for and, although technology does a very good job of getting the data where it needs to go, it doesn't always meet the needs of the finance and accounting folks. There an ongoing friction between both departments. You need to build an intelligence layer with well-defined relationships across every single data point as it pertains to financials. If it affects financials you need to have a relationship or ontology or something that tells you how these data points are interrelated. If you don't have that then it's only creating a problem for something else that's going to come up very soon. The main issue with spreadsheets with visualisation tools is that those tools solve the problem short term until they don't, they are extremely helpful until they become painful and they become a bottleneck for the organisation to grow eventually. The tools don't have change processes in place as data sets get larger and as organisations grow. They also become a personnel risk because only 1 or 2 people in the company understand it.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Data is a powerful tool, and it's “make it or break it” for a lot of companies, especially in insurance where the devil is in the details.'‘Being able to trace an expense back to the root system and getting a full transactional detail for that specific number is the most reliable way to do something.'‘It's only labour intensive if you try to do this completely manually and you don't leverage artificial intelligence in the right ways, and if you don't have a defined framework to do this, if you do, it's much easier.'‘It's not rocket science… it's just data science.'
