After 20 years in the business, GDA Speakers has built a database of world-renowned thought leaders featuring top minds presenting on over a hundred topics. In the earlt 1990's Gail Davis was leading events at one of the world’s largest corporations, Electronic Data Systems (EDS, which now operates as MicroFocus and DXC Technology). After a hugely successful event, she was sitting with the CEO discussing plans for the next one, determined to make it better than ever before. Talk about a challenge. A few months later while watching the movie "Alive" Gail had a wild, but interesting idea to pitch Nando Parrado, the main subject of the movie as her next big speaker. It tooks some fierce determination and sluthing, but Gail secured him making the following year's event was a hit! Two year later, GDA Speakers was born. Gail on the importance of routine: [16:15 ]_ "I have a routine that I do every single morning. I write down ten things I am grateful for from the day before. I look at what I've got going on and I've really made massive strides in not overscheduling."_ Advice for rising entrepreneurs: [21:25)_ "Avoid absolutes.
