Bafana Bafana's 27 winning streak came to an abrupt halt fallowing a controversial penalty win by Egypt in their second 2025 Afcon game. A controversial Mohamed Salah penalty sent Egypt through to the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations despite being down to 10 men for the whole of the second half against South Africa, who were denied a penalty of their own right at the death. Watching and listening to ourselves can be tough, but you have to practice. Those nerves and adrenaline only show up in real situations, and working through them is how you get better." "For those of you who are speakers, please listen to this: 'You're never as great as they tell you you are, and you're never as bad as they tell you you are. You're usually somewhere in the middle.'" "We need to become the CEOs of our own career and really take it upon ourselves to be our own best advocate. Even the best manager and the best team who truly want you to do well are ultimately most concerned with themselves. So you need to take it upon yourself to make sure your hard work gets seen." "If a tree falls in a forest and no one's there to hear it, did it make any sound? If you do a bunch of great, amazing, hard work but no one's there to see it, did it happen?" "If hard work is the baseline, how do we differentiate ourselves from it? We have to start advocating for ourselves and making sure our work is known." "You have to figure out what's the best use of your time. Anybody who wants to monopolize your time has to be willing to pay for it." "If we're not able to invest in our personal relationships, no matter how great we are in business, it will never be the best it can be, because what we apply in our personal lives bleeds into our business lives." "Work on relationships with people you know will never be able to help you. Do it on purpose. If you know you're building a relationship you'll never get anything from, they'll know your motives are pure." "Relationships are like a bank account. Every time you give, you make a deposit. When you ask for something, that's a withdrawal. You never want the account to be overdrawn when you have to make that withdrawal." "Some of my favorite career advice is: over prepare, but don't over plan." For those Jets fans rooting for draft position above all, today was a good day. Anyone hoping to see improvement from rookie quarterback Brady Cook in his second pro start however, will be less enthusiastic. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/69160346/download.mp3 Following a relief appearance and a start last week in which Cook showed some signs of life in his first NFL action, the undrafted free agent out of Missouri struggled mightily in his second effort. Now, in fairness to Cook, we saw the return of dumb Jets penalties as Gang Green committed one infraction after another, repeatedly costing the offense first downs or at least moved them from short yardage situations to much longer distances needed to convert. The Jets committed 7 penalties for 54 yards with five of them counting for 44 yards on offense. John Simpson was flagged for the 10th and 11th times this season with his first flag wiping out a third-down conversion on a 3rd & 1 Brady Cook sneak. But this doesn’t mean Cook was without blame. Several times we saw a hesitant Cook hold on to the football for too long and take a sack. There were also several plays in which Cook tried to get away from pressure and ran himself right into a defender. On the day, New Orleans got to the rookie eight times, bringing his total to seventeen sacks in just three games. Asked after the game if he thought about going to veteran Tyrod Taylor in the second half, head coach Aaron Glenn said that he did not, as the Jets continue trying to evaluate the signal caller ahead of next season. Things weren’t much better on defense where the Jets surrendered 29 points to a Saints team that had no running game to account for. Rookie quarterback Tyler Shough dropped back to pass fifty times and got off 49 attempts for 308 yards. For the second week in a row, the folks at PFF had linebacker Quincy Williams down for allowing three touchdowns, bringing his total on the year to eight. There were some bright spots in that Jamien Sherwood played what may have been his best game of the year under new coordinator Chris Harris, while Jowon Briggs, Malachi Moore, Dean Clark, Jordan Clark and Will McDonald flashed at times. In fact, Ross Tucker who was calling the game for CBS, was effusive in his praise for Sherwood early on, and then for McDonald as he dialed it up a few notches in the second half. The post Jets at Fourth Spot in Draft Following Nola Drubbing appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum.
If you're feeling a little queasy about the pace of change, you're not alone. AI is accelerating competition in almost every market, and it's making some business models feel irrelevant almost overnight. In this episode of Built to Sell Radio, John Warrillow talks with Ryan O'Leary, who saw a similar wave coming in payments when Shopify started bundling merchant processing into its plans. O'Leary chose to sell before the shift crushed margins, structuring a deal that put most of his cash in hand up front. In this episode, you discover how to • Decide whether to raise capital, hire a CEO, roll equity, or sell • Spot the early signals that a platform is about to "bundle" you into irrelevance • Run a tight sale process with a short target list and still generate multiple LOIs fast • Negotiate for deal structure that protects you, not just a higher multiple • Limit earnout risk by keeping the earnout short and the rules hard to game • Separate emotion from the numbers so you can negotiate clean • Keep your team aligned through the transition by sharing upside, including the earnout
The holidays are prime time for scammers. Between flash sales, delivery updates, gift cards, and travel plans, cyber-criminals count on people moving fast and clicking first. In this video, we break down simple, real-world steps you can take to protect your money, your accounts, and your identity while shopping online.✅ Holiday cyber-safety checklist- Shop only on trusted sites: Type the web address yourself or use official apps—avoid random links in texts, emails, and ads.- Watch for fake deals: If a price looks too good to be true, it probably is. Check the seller, reviews, and return policy.- Secure payments: Use a credit card or secure payment service (better fraud protection). Avoid debit cards for online purchases.- Enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA): Turn it on for email, banking, and shopping accounts—especially your email (it's the “master key”).- Use strong, unique passwords: A password manager helps you avoid reusing passwords across multiple sites.- Beware of delivery scams: Fake “package delayed” or “address problem” messages are common. Track orders from the retailer's official site/app.- Avoid public Wi-Fi for purchases: If you must, use a trusted VPN—otherwise wait until you're on your home network. - Don't buy gift cards from strangers: And never share gift card codes with anyone claiming you “owe” money.- Keep devices updated: Updates patch security holes that scammers actively exploit.- Check statements regularly: Spot small “test charges” early—report anything suspicious immediately. If you want more videos like this, subscribe and share this with a friend or family member—especially anyone doing a lot of online shopping.
