Having survived the merry hubbub of the holidays, the Corpse Club co-hosts reflect on their favorite memories from December on a special "Holiday Hangover" episode of Daily Dead's podcast. Listen as Scott Drebit, Derek Anderson, and Jonathan James shamble out of the snow drifts to discuss how they added some festive horror to their holiday celebrations, including a family viewing of Bob Clark's Black Christmas, a home media screening of the anthology All the Creatures Were Stirring, and the gift of four Phantasm films featured in Shudder's The Last Drive-In: A Very Joe Bob Christmas movie marathon. The Corpse Club co-hosts also talk about the horror-themed gifts they gave and received this year, and Scott discusses the new Blu-rays he added to his collection while out shopping on Boxing Day in Canada. So, whether you're just relieved to make it through another holiday season or you're already planning how to make Santa's Nice List next year, we hope you enjoy the gift of a new episode of Corpse Club!

Kicking off their Black Christmas month, Bee and Ryan watched like a billion movies this week. Sorry guys, we know, it's a huge pop culture check in. At least we talk about Twilight. WHAT?! OH FUCK YEAH WE DO. Then we move on to the protoslasher classic, Bob Clark's BLACK CHRISTMAS.
Dan and Garrett get ready for the holidays with one of their favorite seasonal classics, Bob Clark's Black Christmas. With a strong focus on character and dramatic irony rather than plot and shocking twists, Clark creates a tense, holiday nightmare that will endure well beyond his other, more well-known Christmas movie. Yes, he's that Bob Clark, director of A Christmas Story. twitter | Facebook | tumblr | iTunes
December has arrived and this week I kick off Scary Christmas! Every week I'll highlight a Christmas themed horror film along with my normal review. This week it's Bob Clark's Black Christmas and then I move into my review of 2015's period piece, The Witch.
Welcome to Episode 3... OUR CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! On this episode our heroes will delve into two movies from their shamelists. From Nick's list they'll be discussing Bob Clark's BLACK CHRISTMAS, a proto slasher from the early '70s about a group of soroity sisters and a creepy caller. Then, from Michael's list they'll be discussing THE FAMILY STONE, a family drama from the 2000s about a large family getting together for their annual Christmas, but with a new added element; the son Everett Stone brings his wealthy, stuck-up girlfriend with him. *WSD Official Disclaimer* The following episode was recorded in early December, amid good faith from all panellists concerned that it would be uploaded and ready to go in a week's time, in order to make room to cover Bob Clark's Black Christmas before the festive season began. Christmas being what it is, we switched off for a month or so and never got round to uploading the bloody thing. Needless to say, 2015 is here and we intend to get our arses in gear from this point on. For better or worse, here is our review of Hammer's Curse Of Frankenstein, in all its gory glory... Perhaps we'd better start from the beginning... Given the long and arduous process of planning, recording and professionally patching together each episode of Won't Stay Dead, perhaps it was only a matter of time before we covered one of the greatest examples of biological mix-and-match terror via Hammer Horror's The Curse Of Frankenstein. Bubbling away in a foaming test tube this week are Galway Hooker, Samuel Adams and Barcelona's Estrella Damm, along with Iain's booze-free Dr Pepper and Orange Fanta. Some Twiglets make a tenuous appearance too. Guess that's what happens when you record on a Sunday... Bloody religion.
