Host Ben Rice travels to Drake's: The Barn in West Sacramento to bring together a rag tag team of podcasters to create the ultimate Holiday Podcast. Joining Ben on this adventure is CJ of The Friendship Podcast, Johnny Flores of Serious Talk, Seriously, and Delayna Fitzgerald, the event and community coordinator for Drake's: The Barn. In a world where three podcast hosts and a civilian try to make the perfect episode, Delayna actually takes the reins to guide us to the ultimate Holiday Podcast episode. We try out Drake's De-Egg-Nog-inizer (two ways), talk about The Barn's recent successful Camp Fire Benefit Concert, re-imagine the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic "Kindergarten Cop," learn that Johnny was a horrendous child and a filthy liar about where he went to school, find the ideal Couple's Costumes, and play a rousing game of Never Have I Ever, Holiday Edition! All this and more, on episode 90 of Barley & Me. Enjoy! Doug Lazy talked with Matt Nathanson backstage at the Camp Fire Benefit Concert, and they discussed giving back to the victims of the fire.
Pat & Tom caught up with Carly Pearce backstage at the Camp Fire Benefit Concert, and they discussed giving back to the fire victims, her upcoming album, and being in love.
Fantastic time last night at our Camp Fire Benefit Concert. Carly Pearce put on a great show including bringing young J J on stage to sing with her. We hoped to get 20-25 thousand dollars for the Salvation Army's Relief Efforts in Butte County. But that wasn't enough for you people. Instead you came with $63,500!! We humbly say thank you...for coming out, supporting and donating. Today is National Cookie Day. If you could only have one type of cookie the rest of your life what would it be? And to Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches couny? A city tries to ban showball fights, emergency room doctors go over the Christmas movie "Home Alone," and tell you what injuries Harry and Marv really would have sustained.
Tom finally got his birthday gift from Pat and it was one of the most unique gift wrap jobs ever. Monopoly has a new version just for millennials and wait until you hear how you lose! Last night was a very good night for Paradise High School Athletics. Their boys varsity basketball team played Chico. How it was handled and the results will make you smile. Is it possible that beer is cheaper than water> It is in Pat's hometown and with good reason! And if you want to go to our Camp Fire Benefit Concert with Carly Pearce next Monday, we are down to just GA ticketrs ($20 at kncifm.com)
Ever have one of those mornings where stuff is broken and you can't figure out how or why? That was today! We announced our Camp Fire Benefit Concert today. God Bless you Carly Pearce for stepping up! It's in Roseville, Dec 3rd, and all money from tickets sold goes right to the Salvation Army for Camp Fire evacuees. Pat saw one of the greatest things ever involving a very talented dog. And Tom actually fixed something in the building....nice job Tom! Plus a poem written by a lady who had to evacuate Paradise. It's a good reminder that putting up with bad air for a bit is nothing compared to what some people are going through.
