Season 7, Episode 2 of Double M Live is packed with energy, culture, and straight talk. Marv and Mike dive back into the mic to break down everything on the menu—from the Celtics' uncertain season without Jayson Tatum to Jaylen Brown's shot at proving he's more than just a “Robin.” The fellas also debate Derrick White's ceiling and whether Boston should risk Tatum returning early from injury. From there, it's gloves up for the biggest boxing event in years: Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez. Marv and Mike unpack what Crawford's historic win means for boxing's legacy and why Canelo still walks away as a made man. The crew also gets real about Jimmy Kimmel's controversial suspension and what it says about freedom of speech in today's climate. And for the anime heads, Tex joins to review Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle and why anime's movie-first rollout might be more hustle than art. Double M is back, tapped in, fire up, and to the moon.

The weather in Atlanta is rather mild. I actually turned off the AC in my rental unit for a while to warm up the place. Looks like the weather for the DragonCon weekend might be nice.

Hi MPAT studios. Heard you were reading LitRPG.
Packing for a travel day tomorrow. Still spent most of the day working the day job.
Jon Stone, Marv and I chat about the elephant in the room concerning the new Lennon "Power to the People" box, contemplate the original "Some Time in New York City", and (with a little help from our friendly neighborhood Tarot card reader) do some divination on the newly announced "Anthology 4". #madeonzencastr.
Talking about feedback. Should've been about the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking, but I'm saving that for tomorrow.

Feeling more like Work from Airbnb than a vacation
Forgot to record yesterday, but we're moving right along.
The new play from playwright Bubba Weiler is about a grieving woman. Maggie, played by Quincy Tyler Bernstein, has lost her husband Marv. Marv, played by Michael Chernus, was a great, if not always perfect, husband. But as mourners, family and strangers start to come to Maggie's home, she begins to wonder if she ever really knew her husband at all. Weiler, Bernstein, and Chernus discuss "Well, I'll Let You Go," which is running at the Space at Irondale through August 29.
We are shorthanded today but Mario, Marv and Ray are holding it down for the others, we talk about this being the last break before Christmas, Dylan becoming a new man with a haircut and if the guys ever get sick of one another during remote trips. Enjoy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
