Clive Maxheath sits down with ex-pro football turned endurance adventurer Luke Tyburski. In this rollercoaster interview, Luke shares quite the life story - from the highs of realising his boyhood dream of becoming a pro footballer, to suffering depression after injury cut short his career. Then moving on to become an ultra-endurance athlete (and completing the ultimate 'Morroco-Monaco' triathlon) to the lows of depression once more. Finally, after all these ups and downs Luke has the insight that breaks the spell, allows him to accept his truth and today share his experiences via platforms such as world-renowned podcasts like 'Men On Form' B-) to inspire others :-)
The other half of the men on form team coach Clive Maxheath is on the hot seat. In this interview, Clive opens up about overcoming a mid-twenties crisis, struggling again after returning from a year traveling and the path that led him to work as a men's personal development coach.
The wealth of books, training, personal coaching, mentoring initiatives and webinars makes access to alternative means of obtaining help and support much easier than it ever has been. Yet, industry statistics reveal that women deliberately and consciously seek out services that help them improve the quality of their lives, in much larger droves than men. Why is this? So, just who is championing the cause for local, everyday, grassroots men? Recently I interviewed one man who heads up The Men's Action Project, through which he skillfully engages men in developing the craft of personal-DIY. Clive Maxheath may not be a name that you hear bantered about in the same vein as the Anthony Robbins and Wayne Dyers of this world (well, not yet anyway!). However, he plays an essential role in helping men embrace self-help without apology, shame or fear. A man of integrity, Clive is a men’s coach who shares his personal journey and how this resulted in The Men's Action Project. Listen to this thought provoking discussion with Rebecca Gordon and gain insight into why men need help too. Clive Maxheath uses group coaching to benefit men with his Men's Action Project. His journey to coaching started with a "mid 2o's crisis" that threw him into personal development and prompted him to travel around the world for a year. He shares more on today's Natural Born Coaches!
