This is basically a rough draft of an idea I have for publishing audio-info to the members at CrossFit Rampage via a podcast format. I plan to keep most episodes under 10 minutes, with the focus being topics that can educate people doing CrossFit on ways to improve their experience.
Episode 5 is with Korey Akers of Crossfit Rampage in Murfreesboro, TN. Korey is the owner and head fitness instructor at his own gym and helped me early on when I first moved to Murfreesboro in more ways than he probably realizes. Beyond the fitness advice and encouragement he gave me (while I struggled horribly at attempting to do Cross fit style workouts when I was close to 40 lb. over weight) it was also the way he ran his business, how consistent he was in the way he treated anyone who came in and just how he operated in general. So when looking for guest for the podcast he was a very obvious choice to ask. I am in the same networking group as Korey and get to interact and keep up with what he has been and is looking to do with Crossfit Rampage on a weekly basis. It's impressive how clear his vision is for what he is ultimately trying to build. We get into many topics including; how Korey developed his passion for teaching fitness, how he focuses on maintaining a positive outlook no matter how difficult situations may be, why he thinks it's important to make a conscious effort in that regard, some Gary Vee talk and finish with his "Grateful 4". Really good stuff and truly appreciate Korey taking the time to do this.
