Hey Dads, do you ever feel guilty for not being home?Lorenzo does. Listen in to see why he is okay with the guilt and actually decides to continue to 'not be there' for his kids. WHAT!!!! yeah crazy right!Follow them on Instagram: @ljuribe and @annettemuribeFollow our Journey! As a first generation American couple born from Mexican parents, we believe we have tons of things we need to be grateful for. One of those things is the fact we live in the USA, with unlimited opportunity for growth. Both Lorenzo and I have a professional background as diverse as the places where we grew up. We want to share our experiences to anyone who is thinking of doing something more but find themselves finding ‘reasons' on why they can't. Also, the biggest WHY for this podcast is to leave a video and podcast trail for our children and our children's children. We want them to hear our lessons and mindset in hopes that one day they may benefit by them. We also want to share with them our friends, other family members, and associates who have given value to our lives. If these videos and podcasts give value to others, that's an added bonus. Thank YOU for your listen/watch.
Sometimes as a dad it can feel like you’re never winning - leaving work at a time that feels too early, but when you get home it feels too late. We all know that mothers are familiar with huge amounts of guilt when they don’t feel like they’re meeting all of life’s demands - is it any different for dads, or is it similar? The Father Hood team talk to one of our favourite working dads - the honest as ever, Dr Vijay Roach - about his journey as a working dad, proving its never too late to be an awesome father whilst maintaining a successful career. The team also explore how dads can work out how to balance competing priorities as they manage the juggle of fatherhood and work.
On Episode 136 of the Mama Bear Dares Podcast, we revisit a past conversation between Tesi, Jake (Leslie's hubby) and Zach (Tesi's husband) about embracing a plant-based diet. The convo took place while Leslie was in East Africa with the NGO she contracts with, Empower Tanzania. In this one-time-only appearance of male voices on the podcast, Tesi and the pair of brothers discuss their plant-based lifestyle, offer resources for those interested in learning more, and share anecdotes about how becoming vegan has impacted their health and their lives. Finally, in a nod to the ever-present phenomena of "Mommy Guilt," they tackle "Daddy Guilt" and try to determine whether or not it truly exists. (Hint: It does!)
