In this episode of The Eric Bach Show, Eric breaks down seven specific foods that make losing stubborn belly and visceral fat easier—not by “magic,” but by improving insulin sensitivity, metabolism, gut health, inflammation, and hormone balance. You'll learn how to build meals that keep you full, support longevity, and help you look great naked… without starving yourself or living in the gym. Why the same foods that help you get leaner also protect your brain, mitochondria, DNA, and cardiovascular system as you age. The 7 Foods Eric Breaks DownCoffeeBoosts metabolic rate (roughly 3–11% in studies).Increases fat oxidation during exercise and can blunt appetite earlier in the day.Loaded with polyphenols like chlorogenic acid that support liver health, reduce oxidative stress, and may lower risk of neurodegenerative disease—as long as you're not turning it into a 500-calorie dessert drink. Lean Beef or Bison (93–95% lean)High-protein, nutrient-dense source with iron, zinc, B12, creatine, and some omega-3s (especially in grass-fed and bison).Higher protein = more thermogenesis, more satiety, better lean-mass retention in a deficit.CLA and omega-3s are linked to reductions in visceral fat and improved metabolic health. Wild BlueberriesImprove insulin sensitivity and help stabilize blood sugar, reducing cravings.High in fiber plus powerhouse antioxidants and polyphenols (anthocyanins) that support brain health, BDNF, and mitochondrial protection.Wild varieties can have 2–3x the antioxidant load of regular blueberries. Broccoli (and other crucifers)Ultra high volume, low-calorie, fiber-rich—great for appetite control and blood sugar stability.Rich in sulforaphane, which activates NRF2 (your body's “master antioxidant switch”) to support detoxification, lower inflammation, and protect DNA from damage. Greek Yogurt (2% or Non-Fat)High in protein to preserve muscle and support metabolism during fat loss.Probiotics support gut health, digestion, inflammation, and immune function.Fermented dairy is linked to better microbiome diversity and improved longevity markersLeafy Greens (Spinach, Kale, Arugula, Romaine, etc.)Low-calorie, high-volume, packed with folate, vitamin K, magnesium, nitrates, and antioxidants.Support insulin sensitivity, stress management, cardiovascular health, and nitric oxide (better blood flow, performance… and erections).Simple habit: a “big-ass salad” at dinner most nights. Wild-Caught SalmonElite combo of high-quality protein and omega-3 fats (EPA + DHA).Helps improve insulin sensitivity, lower systemic inflammation, and reduce cardiovascular risk by ~25–35% in some research.Supports brain function, mood, joint health, and telomere protection—huge for longevity and preserving leanness as you age. Big TakeawaysYou don't need “fat-burning foods”—you need fat-loss friendly foods that make a calorie deficit sustainable.Focus on foods that either had a face or came from the ground: protein + fiber + micronutrients beat pills, potions, and powders.Start by consistently adding 2–3 of these foods into your daily rotation, then build from there. Who This Episode Is ForAnyone struggling with stubborn belly fat despite “eating

Jesus didn't come and die for us, just for us to live in mediocrity of mind. He died so that we could have reconciliation with the Father and genuinely live an abundant life. That doesn't inherently mean abundance of possessions, but rather a life overfilled with joy. Literally, "mega" joy. We pray that this message encourages you today and helps your relationship with Jesus Christ be strengthened.Pursuit Church on Social Media:facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PursuitChurchDenver/?ref=bookmarksinstagram: https://www.instagram.com/pursuit_church/Pursuit Worship on Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Pursuit-Worship-671274439695803/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pursuit.worship/

Every business hits invisible break points where growth stalls, stress rises, and you feel tapped out. This conversation is about seeing those limits sooner and using your team to break through them. Dr. Bobby and Dr. Lona walk through a simple revenue per employee framework that shows you when you are overstaffed, when you are under-resourced, and what kind of hire will unlock the next level. You'll hear why hiring ahead of the curve is often the right move, how owners quietly become the bottleneck when they try to do everything, and why the right expert can solve problems you've wrestled with for years. They share real numbers, salary cap style team planning, and how to match roles to strengths so your office can grow without burning you out. If you feel stuck at a revenue plateau or anxious about adding another salary, this episode will help you see your team as the asset that carries you into the next season of growth.Key Highlights01:35 – Learn what break points are and why your growth keeps stalling at the same level.02:09 – See your team as a human resource you acquire, not just a cost, so you start thinking like a builder.03:30 – Understand the revenue per employee rule of thumb and how to tell if you are over or under hired.05:15 – Spot the warning signs that you have too many people, the wrong roles, or systems that no longer fit your size.06:09 – Learn why waiting for “when I hit X” before hiring keeps you capped and how to hire ahead with confidence.07:29 – Recognize how owners become the bottleneck by trying to solve every problem themselves instead of bringing in experts.09:16 – Decide which work only you should do and which jobs you can hand off to specialists outside your skill set.10:45 – Use revenue per employee to reset expectations for your team, your leadership, and your next key role.12:40 – Reframe growth like a sports team salary cap so you build a balanced roster instead of stacking the wrong positions.16:55 - Dr. Kale talks with Success Partners Dr. Andrew Wells and Dr. Chad Woolner from Simplified Functional Medicine about how chiropractors can add functional medicine without adding more work or complexity. They share the personal health challenges that led them into the field and why so many chiropractors struggle to deliver it on their own. They outline how their team-driven system keeps chiropractic central, protects a CEO's time, and creates strong clinical and financial results. It's a powerful look at what's possible when you simplify and step into your next level of impact.

Hi Friends,This episode was pure magic — lively, surprising, and full of humour. From the very beginning, Sydney's garden joined the conversation, chiming in with its own personality and timing, while the fungi at her new home had plenty to say as well. The night before recording, the garden featured in her book I, Garden actually “arrived” and asked that we open the episode with them. What made this moment even more intriguing was how close it came on the heels of her other book, Becoming Written, as if the two works were in dialogue with one another. And then the fungi piped up. Loudly. It was absolutely hilarious — the shift in my voice as the plants and fungi began speaking, the way they wove themselves into the discussion, and Sydney's brilliant, good-humoured responses made it all feel alive in the most unexpected way. In a sense, the plants from her books were interviewing Sydney, posing questions that genuinely felt as though they came from them. We're sure you'll feel the joy threaded through this conversation. It's heart-open, playful, and full of an all-pervading sense of delight. We loved recording it, and we hope that same spark finds you as you listen. You can find Sydney Kale's work via the following links:https://journal.workthatreconnects.org/2025/02/21/vegetal-activism-and-the-art-of-dwelling/www.sydneykale.comhttps://substack.com/@sydneykalehttps://www.booktopia.com.au/becoming-written-sydney-kale/book/9798218828202.html?srsltid=AfmBOoriyMoJtiELckk7NLqR7bbKm7O64fARPQFmlQQgI9RcWmSKz_Anhttps://books.google.com.au/books/about/Becoming_Written.html?id=DLqe0QEACAAJ&redir_esc=yhttps://www.thenile.com.au/books/sydney-kale/i-garden-garden-as-palimpsest/9798218827403?gad_campaignid=17348566229&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADhOHwjEjeK7XV9MG0C5mjavGvOpO&gclid=CjwKCAiA24XJBhBXEiwAXElO34pR8GQoevt_i1pjBauP8OZcJfCMiEARket4m0_qrUHko9CbK-rAhhoCQDwQAvD_BwE&utm_campaign=18135497994&utm_content=&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_term=Happy Flowing

Kale is one of the most controversial foods out there—some people love it, while others aren't so sure. Many experts are concerned because kale tends to accumulate thallium (a heavy metal) more than most plants, and it's also high in oxalates. So what does this mean for your health? In this episode, Dr. Gundry dives deep into the potential risks and benefits of kale, and how to address these concerns.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Actor Kale Browne has lived many lives in one: beloved soap star on Another World, One Life to Live, and Days of Our Lives; voice actor; long-time meditator; 40+ years sober; and now a death doula who quietly walks people and families through the threshold. In this episode of Medium Curious, Sarah and Jane talk with Kale about the intuitive thread that's run through his whole life—from “Kale moments” as a kid (just knowing things) to powerful past-life flashes in places like Tulum, to training in remote viewing at the Stanford Research Institute with Russell Targ, and mediumship intensives with James Van Praagh, Kripalu, and Omega. Kale shares how sobriety ripped him “wide open,” what it's like to feel the “psychic weather” around a reading, and why he's more interested in service than in putting out a mediumship shingle. He breaks down remote viewing in plain language, talks about Edgar Cayce, telepathy, and the “informational layer” of consciousness, and explains why he believes “life has no opposite.” This conversation is funny, grounded, and deeply tender—especially when Spirit crashes the party with a perfectly timed Camel cigarette reference from Jane's dad. If you've ever wondered whether your own strange experiences “count,” Kale's stories will help you feel less alone and a lot more normal. Intuition has been there all along. Kale grew up with “Kale moments”—downloads, knowings, and sensations that other people didn't seem to have. For him, mediumship isn't a new gift; it's language for what was already happening. Sobriety can blow the doors open. When he got sober in New York, Kale felt “ripped wide open”—knowing who was calling, which subway was coming, and what someone would say next. Alcohol used to dull the signals; removing it amplified them. Remote viewing is real (and trainable). At Omega, Kale studied with Russell Targ and Stephen Schwartz, learning protocols used in U.S. “psychic spy” programs. Remote viewing isn't about guessing “what's in the bag,” it's about describing qualities, sensations, and impressions without letting the mind fill in the blanks. There's an informational layer in consciousness. Drawing on quantum physics, telepathy research, and Edgar Cayce, Kale describes a non-local “information layer”—a vibrational wavelength we can tune into, like a radio station. Life has no opposite. In his work as a death doula, Kale sees death as a change in density, not an ending: the body slows down, the rest of us speeds up. His job is as much about supporting the living—families and loved ones—as it is about honoring the one who's crossing. Psychic weather is real. Readings aren't just about the medium—there are energetic conditions, emotional states, and external “weather” that affect clarity and accuracy. Words are reductive; experience is bigger. Like trying to describe a dream, putting mystical experiences into language shrinks them. That's why so many intuitives and experiencers feel misunderstood—or dismissed—when they finally share. We're here to normalize the weird. Kale, Sarah, and Jane all care about making mediumship, telepathy, and past-life flashes feel human and accessible, not fringe or freaky. The more we talk about it, the less alone people feel. “Sometimes the hardest thing to explain is how you see something without seeing it.” – Kale “Life has no opposite. Life continues. The body slows down, the rest of us speeds up.” – Kale “Words have a very reductive quality… as soon as you start to verbalize a dream, it starts to fade.” – Kale “You can't explain to a three-dimensional mind what a fourth-dimensional experience is like.” – Kale (on Edgar Cayce) “We see through the filter that we expect.” – Kale “Intuition is going to get broader. The veil between this side and the other side is getting thinner, I think.” – Kale Lauren Robertson's Class "Platform Perfection" - 10% off for listeners Join us on Substack for The Afterlife—bonus clips after the “mic is off” (wink). ¡Cuarentonas Queridas!
For most of human history, religion guided people's choices about health and food. Then with the rise of modern nutritional science in the 19th century, people began to favor scientific advice over religious ideas about how to eat. But lately, a new generation of Christian diet influencers are putting the God back in nutritional guidance, sometimes at the expense of science altogether. And this messaging might not be creating healthier or holier people. We'll talk to New York Times writer Jessica Grose and historian Catherine Newell about the long, complex history of food, faith, and morality. And we'll ask - can we reconnect faith and health in America in positive ways that are informed by tradition and history, but also true to science?Jessica Grose has written books on motherhood, marriage and countless articles. More information about her work can be found on her website jessicagrose.com.Catherine Newell is a professor and the Associate Dean for Pre-Health Professions at the University of Miami. She is the author of the books entitled Food Faiths: Diet, Religion, and the Science of Spiritual Eating & Destined for the Stars: Faith, the Future, and America's Final Frontier.

I'm sharing more about doula care and how it fits in with Hospice care. I also talk about how we can avoid 'crashing into Hospice" by first acknowledging our mortality and then making a plan. It's not foolproof but can create peace of mind when everything feels like chaos. Can we live our best lives with the life we have left? The Hospice I volunteer for thinks we can. It's their tag line. I say surrender is not giving up. It can be one of the first steps to accepting our end of life so that we can make the most of the time that remains. Kale? Why the heck am I talking about kale???https://zdoggmd.com/podcasting/vpzd-32 Correction: I mention the shock phase and transition phase of end of life as taught by my doula mentor. Shock phase comes at the time of a terminal diagnosis and I would also add it can occur once a person is told there are no more treatment options. Transition phase is the last phase of life, when the body begins its work of dying, weeks to days before death. I mis-spoke by saying "transition" when I meant to say "stabilization" phase. Stabilization phase follows shock phase, and this is when a person begins to accept their situation and begins to plan their last months of life. Inside The Kale Logistics WonderworldWriting for the FlyingTypers is a pretty unique experience. You just need to keep your brain connected and let your imagination run: thepages open up in front of your eyes as though you were in a picture movie.Today our inspiration comes from Rajan Subramanian, Chief Product and Chief AI Officer at Kale Logistics. If you hear his name and you think that he is dealing with AI and all the hottest topics that are on today's menu in logistics automation, your picture is there: you are directly plunged in the haunting rhythm of the Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantasia, the 1940 superb cinematic artwork. I was curious tounderstand how complicated (or simple in fact) is Rajan's work, delivering top-tier digital products to a vast audience of logistics enterprises. Rajan Subramanian is a strategic and hands-on technology leader with over two decades' experiencedriving enterprise-scale transformations through innovative digital platforms, unlocking measurable business value with data drive products. He also has deep expertise in data engineering, machine learning and cloud architecture. Bridging executive strategy with engineeringexecution, Rajan has helped Fortune 500 organizations across fin-tech,healthcare, communications and supply chain evolve into data-driven, API-first enterprises.

In this conversation, Jeff Sarris and Jill Harris discuss the potential risks associated with consuming spinach, particularly for individuals prone to kidney stones. They explore the high oxalate content in spinach, its implications for kidney stone formation, and the importance of calcium in mitigating these risks. The discussion emphasizes the need for moderation and variety in dietary choices, especially for those with a history of kidney stones.TakeawaysSpinach is the highest oxalate food, potentially leading to kidney stones. Many people unknowingly consume excessive spinach, increasing their oxalate intake.Dietary changes can lead to unintended health issues, like kidney stones.Healthcare professionals should advise moderation and variety in diets.Calcium is essential for preventing kidney stones, but spinach may hinder its absorption.Accidental consumption of spinach is not likely to cause kidney stones.Kale can be a better alternative to spinach for calcium intake.Patients often feel frustrated when healthy choices lead to health issues.Dietitians and healthcare providers need to communicate risks clearly.Maintaining bone health is crucial, especially for older adults.00:00 The Spinach Dilemma: A Superfood or a Stone Culprit?07:36 Understanding Oxalates: The Calcium Connection——HAVE A QUESTION? _Leave us a voicemail at (773) 789-8764.KIDNEY STONE DIET® APPROVED PRODUCTSProtein Powders, Snacks, and moreWORK WITH JILL _Start HereKidney Stone Diet® All-Access PassKidney Stone Diet® CourseKidney Stone Diet® Meal PlansKidney Stone Diet® BooksPrivate Consultation with JillOne-on-One Deep Dive24-Hour Urine AnalysisSUPPORT THE SHOW _Join the PatreonRate Kidney Stone Diet on Apple Podcasts or Spotify——WHO IS JILL HARRIS? _Since 1998, Jill Harris has been the #1 kidney stone prevention nurse helping patients reduce their kidney stone risk. If you've ever wondered what's really out there, this conversation will change the way you think about ghosts forever.
