After four years it's time for Series 2 of the BZPowercast - it's been a great run! Episode 50 is our last episode for the foreseeable future, but we may revisit some sort of audio or video show in the future. We start off this month talking about Staff Survivor with three of the contestants - Hahli Husky, Janus, and Makaru. They've got some tips in case you ever find yourself on Voya Nui in such a competition. Then Windrider joins us for our final How-To BZP about how to be an outstanding part of the community. After that I'm joined by DeeVee, Nukaya, and Emzee to look back at BrickFair Virginia 2013. Things close out with another comic reading from Hahli Husky and Janus. Thanks everyone for listening everyone - I hope you've had as much fun as we did.
June is at a close, which means it's time for a new episode of the Powercast. We kick off the month by interviewing Kohaku as part of our Staff Interview series. Then Windrider is back for a How-To BZP about the staff. DeeVee and Nukaya then drop by to discuss the upcoming BrickFair Virginia event. And things wrap up with another dramatic Bionicle comic reading by Hahli Husky and Janus. Enjoy!
Time for a new episode of the BZPowercast! Another light show this time around - starting off is a Staff Interview of Blog Leader DeeVee (and special guest Nukaya). Then I give you all a preview of the almost-here BBC Contest for next month. Finally Hahli Husky and Janus (with the assistance of DeeVee and Nukaya) bring us another dramatic reading of a Bionicle comic. Share and enjoy!
Welcome back to the BZPowercast! Episode 38 is our longest episode yet by a large margin, so I hope you're comfy when you start listening. We kick things off with a wrapup of BrickFair VA 2012 with DeeVee, Nukaya, and Sumiki. After that, Paleo hops on for this month's Staff Interview. Then Windrider comes back for a How-To BZP about the new Gallery. Finally, we are joined by special guest Kevin Hinkle from LEGO where he answers some member questions about himself and the company. Of course there's a Music Time with Smeag to wind things down. The next show will be shorter - I promise!
Welcome back to the BZPowercast! This month we kick off with a discussion of the contests currently running on BZP with 55555. Then Windrider returns for a How-To BZP about the advertising policy. After that, Hahli Husky, DeeVee, and xccj join me to reminisce about the Bricks Cascade 2012 from earlier in the month. Sumiki pops on next for this month's staff interview. And of course we have another recording from McSmeag to close out the show.
It's time once more for the BZPowercast! In Episode 33 we kick things off by talking about some upcoming brick events with DeeVee that will feature BZP members and staff. Then Windrider joins us for our next How-To BZP. After that, I watch as Takuma Nuva and Nuju Metru prepare a delicious meal made of Matoran cuisine. And of course we close out the show with a new musical piece from Smeag. Hope you enjoy it!
The forums are back! We start this month off by talking about the return of the forums with Takuma Nuva. Then I'm joined by DeeVee and ChocolateFrogs to discuss the upcoming line of LEGO Superhero sets. McSmeag shares his musical prowess to wrap things up. It's a quick show, but that's okay, because the forums are back! Talk to you all next month!
How is summer almost over already? At least the end of the month means a new episode of the BZPowercast, even though the forums are still offline. We start off this episode with another status update explaining where we're at with the upgrade and why we're still offline. Then I talk to Takuma Nuva and Gatanui about LEGO Universe and get some very different perspectives on the game. DeeVee, Nukaya, and ToM Dracone then come on to talk about BrickFair 2011 and how great it was. McSmeag does his part by passing on a new song for your listening pleasure. That's all there is this time, come back in a month for the next episode!
This month marks the two year anniversary of the Powercast and the ten year anniversary of BZPower. Those are quite the milestones! Unfortunately, the forums are still offline, and we start the show up with an update about where we are on that process. Then McSmeag, Hahli Husky, Than the Moa, DeeVee, and Takuma Nuva join me to talk about BZPower's tenth aniversary. We cover a lot of ground, and I'm not sure we make any kind of point, but that's okay. After that, I talk about the upcoming BrickFair with Nuju Metru and Friar Tuck. McSmeag closes things out with a new song. Thank you everyone for ten amazing years!
Twenty four episodes? That's almost two years! Our two year anniversary is right around the corner, and that's a good thing, because with the forums offline there wasn't a lot to talk about this month. But we start out by letting you know how things are going with the site upgrades, because I'm sure you're wondering. Then I talk to Takuma Nuva about the Hero Factory website, its new content, and some other things. After that DeeVee, Nukaya, and I have a nice chat about the upcoming/current BrickFiesta event (or past depending on when you're listening). We wrap things up with a song by McSmeag. Hopefully the forums will be online for our next episode - then we'll really have something to celebrate!
February always goes by so fast, between Toy Fair and those few less days, it's here and gone before you know it. But that's no excuse for no Powercast! We start this month's episode out with a discussion of the big event with McSmeag, where we give you the details on the new sets and let you know what really caught our eye. Then McSmeag and Makaru tell you all about BBC Contest #61. Following that (and it wasn't easy to do), Kaiapu, Deevee, and I talk about all the things we remember about BZPower from back in the day, before it was even BZPower. Things get wrapped up with another music time with Smeag. Enjoy the big two-oh show!
The end of the month is here again, which means time for another BZPowercast. ChocolateFrogs and xccj ramble with me about the collectible minifigs which are not TLG's first blind-packed collectible. Then Hahli Husky guest-stars on a How-To BZP about advertising. After that, McSmeag, DeeVee, and Nukaya share their thoughts on the 2011 Hero Factory sets with me. Talk to you all next month!
John P. Clark was a music teacher and his house, by Richard Neutra, centers around the creation, performance and enjoyment of music. When Mr. Clark and his wife DeeVee commissioned the house, they helped create a modern masterpiece. Ted Wells presents the first in a series about four architects and four clients who were committed to the ideals of modern living. These clients are true patrons: generous with their praise, evangelical in their fervor to spread the spirit of Modernism, and satisfied that the rest of the world has finally caught up with their foresight. www.tedwells.com
